The main objective was to determine whether a pedagogical intervention based on reduced games improved motor coordination, specifically oculo-pedal coordination, in students of the “Madre Gertrudis” Educational Unit. For this purpose, a methodology with a mixed approach was adopted, applying the KTK motor coordination test to a sample of 100 students before and after an intervention program. This program consisted of reduced game sessions applied during a period of two months. The data collected were analyzed statistically by means of SPSS software, using the T-test for independent samples to verify the research hypothesis. Initial results showed a level of general motor coordination categorized as “normal” with a trend towards “good”, with a mean of 110.03 points on the KTK test. After the intervention, statistical analysis revealed a p-value of less than 0.05, which allowed the null hypothesis to be rejected. It was concluded that the application of reduced games has a positive and significant impact on the development of students' motor coordination. These findings validate the efficacy of reduced games as a valuable pedagogical strategy in the field of Physical Education to enhance motor skills in the school population.Item Juegos tradicionales en las habilidades motrices básicas de estudiantes de educación general básica elemental(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-07-04) Peñafiel Benavides Edwin Oswaldo; Pereira Valdez Martha Judith; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteThe present research entitled: “Traditional games in the basic motor skills of Elementary General Basic Education students”, was developed with the objective of determining the incidence of traditional games in the basic motor skills of Elementary General Basic Education students of the “González Suárez” Educational Unit during the period March-July 2025. The research design was developed based on a quantitative approach of pre-experimental design type, with an applicativeexplanatory scope and field modality, in the process for the theoretical foundation the analytical-synthetic method was used to analyze the variables and their components. The study sample consisted of 37 students (22 males and 15 females) belonging to the fourth grade. In the study technique and instruments, the 3JS test was applied to evaluate basic motor skills. The results obtained with the Wilcoxon statistical test showed a level P≤0.5, which corroborates that traditional games improve basic motor skills.Item Práctica del baloncesto en la coordinación óculo-manual en estudiantes de educación general básica media(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-07-04) Pilco Chango Kevin Alexander; Mocha Bonilla Julio Alfonso; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteThe study entitled “Basketball practice in hand-eye coordination in students of General Basic Secondary Education” focuses on examining the effect of basketball in the improvement of fundamental motor skills. The main goal was to establish how this practice enhances hand-eye coordination in a group of students of the “Nueva Era” Educational Unit. For this purpose, a pre-experimental research was carried out, which included an initial diagnosis through the 3JS test, followed by an intervention based on basketball activities. The approach used was quantitative, using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis methods, such as the Wilcoxon test, to measure the discrepancy between pre- and post-intervention measurements. The sample consisted of 31 students, chosen through non-probability sampling, who engaged in training sessions for six weeks. The findings revealed remarkable gains in the motor skills assessed, particularly in locomotor coordination and object handling, showing an increase in the mean from 15.03 to 17.58. In addition, the percentage of students in low performance grades decreased significantly, while medium and high grades increased. To conclude, it was demonstrated that basketball is an effective resource to improve hand-eye coordination, and its systematic inclusion in physical education programs is advisable to promote the integral growth of students.Item Motivación en la clase de educación física en estudiantes de educación general básica superior(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-01-20) Quispe Benalcázar Steven Paul; Mayorga Ortiz Diego Javier; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteEn resumen, el presente trabajo investigativo tuvo como objetivo Determinar la incidencia de las clases de educación física en la motivación de los estudiantes en estudiantes de educación básica superior de la Unidad Educativa 17 abril, para determinar la relación entre las dos variables de nuestra investigación se ejecutó un enfoque cuantitativo, aplicando una intervención de diseño, descriptiva, correlacional, estos métodos nos permitieron recolectar y a las vez analizar datos obtenidos, por ende, nos permite sustentar de manera efectiva nuestro trabajo investigativo. Para este proceso se utilizó el test de EMPA, este instrumento de evaluación nos permitió observar cómo se encontraba el nivel de motivación global de los 44 estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa 17 de abril en básica superior, posterior a ello, se realizó un plan de clase en el cual el objetivo fue implementar el uso de la tecnología en las clases de educación de los estudiantes para poder mejorar el nivel de motivación en los mismos, por medio de varias actividades planificadas para así poder analizar la relación que existe entre las variables por medio del programa SPSS versión 25 el cual nos permitió la interpretación de los resultados obtenidos durante el proceso investigativo, evidenciando una mejoría en el periodo POST-intervención, lo cual es respaldado por una significación estadística en un nivel de P ≤0,05 denotando la validez de la propuesta planteada.Item Actividades predeportivas en la velocidad en estudiantes de bachillerato general unificado(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-01-20) Bastidas López Anthony Alexander; Sailema Torres Ángel Anibal; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteThis research aims to determine the impact of pre-sports activities on the speed of high school students at the Unidad Educative Rumiñahui. The study addresses the need to implement dynamic and playful strategies that enhance the development of essential physical skills such as speed, fundamental to the comprehensive education of young people. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a pre-experimental, longitudinal, and field design, along with analytical-synthetic, hypothetical-deductive, and comparative methods. The study evaluated 61 students using the 10x5 and 50-meter Eurofit battery tests at two stages: before and after implementing a pre-sports activity program. The data were analyzed using the T-test with a significance level of p≤0.05. The results showed significant improvement in participants' speed. In the 10x5 test, the average time decreased from 23.04 seconds in the pre-test to 19.55 seconds in the post-test, reflecting progress in agility. In the 50-meter test, the average improved from 8.70 seconds to 7.26 seconds, demonstrating an increase in displacement speed. These improvements highlight the positive impact of the pre-sports activity program and validate the research hypothesis. Regarding the conclusions, the program not only improved students' speed and agility but also contributed to the development of key values such as discipline, teamwork, and respect, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment. The findings align with previous studies, such as those by Haugen and Buchheit (2016) and Vescovi and McGuigan (2008), which emphasize the effectiveness of planned interventions in enhancing specific motor skills. Finally, the study demonstrates that pre-sports activities are an effective and adaptable tool in physical education, combining playful and progressive approaches that motivate active student participation. The main objective of the study was to determine how the fundamentals of volleyball affect hand-eye coordination in students of General Basic Education. The relevance of the study lies in the need to improve motor and cognitive skills through the implementation of volleyball fundamentals in the integral development of students. The research had a quantitative approach, with a pre-experimental, applied and longitudinal design. We worked with a sample of 27 students to whom the 3JS Motor Coordination Test was applied before and after the intervention. The study combined analytical-synthetic, inductivedeductive and comparative methods to analyze the incidence of activities based on volleyball fundamentals, such as passing, spiking, serving and receiving. The results obtained in the pre-test showed that a high percentage of students presented low and medium levels of hand-eye coordination. However, after the implementation of the volleyball fundamentals program for four weeks, the post-test results showed a significant improvement in the participants' hand-eye coordination. Statistical analysis performed with SPSS version 26 software using the Wilcoxon test confirmed that the intervention had a positive impact and that the participants' hand-eye coordination was significantly improved. In conclusion, it was found that the technical fundamentals of volleyball have a positive impact on the improvement of the students' hand-eye coordination, strengthening their motor and cognitive development. The constant practice of this sport not only improves precision and synchronization of movements, but also fosters values such as discipline, teamwork and concentration. This study contributes to the educational field by demonstrating that the implementation of structured sports programs can be an effective strategy for the integral development of students and their academic performance.Item Gamificación de la educación física en la motivación en estudiantes de educación general básica elemental(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-01-17) Morales Turushina Pamela Karina; Flores Robalino Rosita Gabriela; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteGamification in physical education incorporates game elements, such as points and levels, to enhance motivation among students in Elementary General Basic Education. This strategy promotes participation, teamwork, and social skills, creating a dynamic learning environment tailored to educational needs. The study focused on analyzing the impact of gamification on the motivation of students at the José Ignacio Ordóñez Educational Unit. A quantitative, pre-experimental, and longitudinal approach was employed, with 60 third-year students evaluated through pretests and post-tests. Initially, 23.3% exhibited low motivation, 18.3% medium motivation, and 58.3% high extrinsic motivation. After implementing gamified activities, 80% achieved high motivation and 20% medium motivation. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test (P < 0.05) revealed a significant effect, confirming that gamification significantly enhances motivation. The conclusions highlighted that gamification positively impacts students' performance and motivation, fostering a participatory and engaging environment that encourages intrinsic motivation. Previous studies, such as those by Torres (2022) and López (2017), support these findings, emphasizing the effectiveness of gamification in increasing participation, improving motor skills, and boosting academic success.Item Ritmos latinos en la capacidad anaeróbica en estudiantes de bachillerato general unificado(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-01-17) Tusa Holguín Luis Ángel; Zapata Mocha Esmeralda Giovanna; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteThe thesis titled "Latin Rhythms and Anaerobic Capacity in Students of Third-Year General Unified High School" explores how practicing Latin rhythms such as salsa, merengue, and bachata impacts adolescents' anaerobic capacity. This topic is relevant because it demonstrates how these dynamic and cultural activities can serve as an effective tool to improve students' physical performance. The primary objective of the study was to establish the relationship between the practice of Latin rhythms and the development of anaerobic capacity in high school students. Additionally, it aimed to describe how these rhythms influence other physical aspects such as coordination, strength, and endurance. The methodology used was qualitative, applied, and pre-experimental, with a fieldbased, longitudinal, and analytical-synthetic approach. Comparative and hypotheticaldeductive methods were employed to analyze the results. The main findings were obtained through the Burpees test and statistical analysis using the SPSS program with the Wilcoxon test. The results showed significant improvements in the students’ anaerobic capacity after the intervention. In the pretest, 96.3% of the students were at a "poor" level of anaerobic capacity, whereas, in the post-test, 48.1% reached a "good" level, 18.5% a "very good" level, and another 18.5% an "excellent" level. In order to investigate how ball-driving exercises can improve this skill, a study was conducted with students from the Hermano Miguel Educational Unit. The objective was to evaluate the impact of these exercises on eyepedal coordination using a quantitative approach. The 3JS Test was used to measure the improvement in motor skill before and after the intervention, and the data were analyzed with SPSS software. The experimental design allowed the intervention variable, ball-driving exercises, to be manipulated to observe their effect on students. The results showed a significant improvement in eye-pedal coordination, with a statistically relevant difference between the pretest and the posttest (p value < 0.05). This finding confirms that the proposed exercises were effective in the development of this skill. The study supports the use of football as an educational tool, suggesting that the continued practice of these exercises can maintain and enhance the progress made.Item Rondos del fútbol en la condición física en estudiantes de bachillerato general unificado(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-01-17) Vargas Barriga Pedro Salomón; Sánchez Cañizares Christian Mauricio; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteThe research “Football Rondos in Physical Fitness in General Unified Baccalaureate (BGU) Students” aimed to determine the impact of rondos on the development of conditional physical abilities in students from “San Pío X” Educational Unit, Baños de Agua Santa Extension. A quantitative approach was used, with a pre-experimental, longitudinal, and field design, applying the hypothetical-deductive method. The initial physical fitness of the students was assessed through tests measuring speed, endurance, strength, and flexibility, revealing that 40.9% had a Very Low level. Based on these results, structured football rondos were implemented as dynamic, playful, and specific activities targeting each ability: high-intensity rondos for endurance, quick direction changes for speed, explosive exercises for strength, and dynamic stretches for flexibility. The results were analyzed using the Wilcoxon statistical test, which showed significant improvements between the pre-test and post-test in all evaluated capacities. In the 4x10 test, the significance level (Z=-4.714; p<0.05) indicated an improvement in speed, while the 20-meter shuttle test (Z=-3.273; p<0.05) showed progress in endurance. Additionally, in the two-foot standing long jump (Z=-4.560; p<0.05), a positive impact on explosive strength was confirmed. By the end of the intervention, the percentage of students with a Very High level of physical performance increased significantly, rising from 15.9% to 84.1%. This study concluded that football rondos not only improved the students’ conditional physical abilities but also fostered social skills such as teamwork and decision-making, while enhancing motivation for sports practice. The results validated rondos as an effective and replicable methodology for boosting physical and social development in the educational context, providing an innovative alternative for the integral strengthening of students.
