Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2017) Ormaza Morejón, Maricela Fernanda; Carrillo Hernández, Jorge IvánIn the present research work is detailed in a comprehensive manner the application of Statistical Quality Control (SQC) in the process of making T-shirts and their impact on customer satisfaction (quality). Throughout the study, the statistical comparison of the effect of the SQC on the main variables of purchase impact on the client is made, such as the final lengths of the garment of the main components of the garments: sleeves, length and width, between: 1. The state or initial situation of the quality of shirts (process without the implementation of statistical quality control) and 2. The improved condition of the quality of shirts (process, after the implementation of statistical quality control). For this purpose, the calculation of the process capacity indexes is taken as a function of the permitted variability and the objective value defined in the design specifications (voice of the client), among them: the Potential Capacity of the process (Cp), the Potential inverse potential (Cr), Potential capacity with respect to process centering (Cpk), Process centering (K), Taguchi index (Cpm) and comparing them in the two instances mentioned above (process without statistical control of the quality and process implemented the statistical control of the quality). The elaboration and comparison of the graphic quality tools is included in this stage: statistical control chart and the process capacity normality histogram. The results are evident, since a considerable improvement of the quality of the process was obtained, as the percentage and the number of defective units were reduced, basically based on the reduction of the variability and the centering of each process, and the influence is statistically demonstrated of statistical quality control to improve customer satisfaction. As a final part, a Statistical Quality Manual for continuous variables is designed, applied to the company's T-shirt production process, based on the DMAIC continuous improvement methodology, which incorporates tools such as: statistical control chart Xbarra, chart R, the histogram of process capacity, automatic sheets for calculating capacity indexes, among others, with the aim of maintaining the improvement achieved and ensuring compliance with the quality of quantitative variables. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2017) Montenegro López, Hamilton Vinicio; Valencia Nuñez, Edison RobertoThe treatment of health care emergencies, involves a chain of quantifiable processes, in this context, the present research work is oriented to propose a quantitative methodological tool, which seeks to determine the best scenarios in order to obtain an improvement in response times in the care of the Pre-hospital service. Within prehospital care services, the issue of transportation plays a very important role in the comprehensive management of medical emergencies, so determining the appropriate geographic location from which the response ambulances will respond to the demand can influence the time of arrival of the resource. Determining the best location of ambulances for health management can be a complex task, given the large number of variables involved in this decision making, as well as the financial costs involved in geographically relocating empirically. So, the proposed model seeks to provide decision makers with quantitative probabilistic technical tools that allow experimental results to be minimized, minimizing implementation costs. The proposed model mainly operates variables of demand and availability of resources based on their probability distribution, which, through Monte Carlo simulations, will determine the impact on the time of arrival of the resource, based on the matrices of transfer times, from the points of greatest density of the demand of the circuits studied, to the points of supply of ambulances of the prehospital service deployed in the province. The contrast of the changes obtained by the variations of the ambulance locations with the times of the control group are analyzed by means of statistical tests to determine the significance of these variations with reference to the data of the experimental group. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2017) Yépez Moreira, Rolando Ismael; Santamaría Díaz, Edwin CesarIn the present work of Investigation shows the increase of the productivity through the reduction of the main waste identified in the textile production of the company under study, such as: inventory, the overproduction of garments, the transport of product in process not necessary, the units with faults that do not meet the quality requirements specified by the client, the units reprocessed to meet the quality requirements and the waiting time or downtime, which increase the cost and are presumed to affect to productivity. In the study process, the industrial process simulation software "Flexsim" was used as the main tool to quantitatively determine the levels of production, productivity and waste, in two simulation scenarios: the Simulation Scenario No. 1, which reflects the state initial of the productive process and the Simulation Scenario No. 2 that corresponds to the final or ideal state of the productive process after the improvements implemented. Prior to the improvement of productivity measured in dollars invested on dollars earned, statistical verification of the significant influence of the set of independent variables considered as waste on the dependent variable was made: productivity, being positive for the object of study and giving rise to a clear opportunity for improvement. Several methods and tools were adopted for the implementation of productivity improvement, among them: improvement of product quality, cause-effect analysis, preventive maintenance, quality 5's, basic improvement of plant distribution and rolling of production lines, In addition, as a management tool based on quantitative data, a mathematical model of multiple linear regression was proposed, to predict the productivity of the textile production line, based on the most significant waste. In short, the reduction of waste in the textile production of the company under study, contribute to the improvement of its productivity, thus generating a viable option for the company, of continuous improvement of its profitability and competitiveness. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2017) Ortiz Zurita, Johanna Gabriela; Teneda Llerena, William FabiánThe purpose of this study was to develop a mathematical model that suits the needs of economic improvement of the leather sector in the parish of Quisapincha Ambato Ecuador, in order to adequately plan production through the use of a quantitative tool that helps support decision-making and improve administrative management. The investigation was initiated due to an inadequate production planning since its manufacturers based their decisions on their own criteria; that is, they did it empirically. For this purpose, the objectives were set in order to solve the current problems of the leather sector of the parish of Quisapincha Ambato Ecuador. We compiled information regarding study variables using scientific articles and books of variables production planning and mathematical models; with their respective fundamental categories. In addition, in order to gather information regarding the sector, surveys were carried out with current and potential customers, and preferences and preferences were identified; on the other hand the manufacturers indicated the current way that the production planning takes place and eight generic variables of the sector that they have in common were detected; for which studying them served to structure the mathematical model of the sector using the simplex method and to be able to maximize the profits in a period of time of one week and based on historical information was able to determine a utility of $ 196,98. It was possible to verify the hypothesis that was posed in the following way: An adequate mathematical model will not improve the production planning in the Leather sector of the parish of Quisapincha; with the use of the Wilcoxon test, a bilateral significance level of 0 was determined and the hypothesis was verified. A correlation and multiple regression analysis was developed; with the use of data provided by the Internal Revenue Service, studying the variables: Sale price, purchases and inflation with the collection of 280 data from the year 2010 to 2017 had a R-square of 95.11 percent that helped to identify a scenario when you have values of different variables and predict that if you have a 5 percent inflation, purchases amount to $ 3,000, with an average value per item of $70.00; sales amounted to $ 3,368.23. By means of the Anova analysis the variables with the highest correlation could be identified: Control, planning, forecast and production process; obtaining a Cronbach's alpha of 0.770; which helped to conclude that the reliability of the instrument used is good, with a tendency to excel. It is concluded that in the sector the highest percentage of manufacturers have a higher level of secondary education, having for more than 25 years in that economic activity, the production interval is weekly and the production forecast is done empirically. Finally, the proposal is made to equip the sector with a mathematical model using the Excel Solver statistical tool to identify the necessary resources for weeks and the optimal amount to produce in order to maximize profits. Based on this model and comparing it with the historical data it was evidenced that there is an 18.9 percent improvement in the maximization of resources. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2017) Muyulema Allaica, Juan Carlos; Díaz Córdova, Jaime FabiánThe Seis Sigma Methodology is widely used in the enterprises for the improvement of the quality, increasing of the productivity and decreasing of the costs, coming into play a business improvement. However, nowadays, the challenge consists on leading these tools to the improvements that have an immediate positive impact about the value differing, which requires the sorting of Seis Sigma with the competitive strategies of the organization. That is why the importance to establish a strategic management system able to measure, analyze, improve and control the corporative performance and at the same time to establish the responsibilities of leadership and commitment. The specific purpose of this investigation is to develop a measurement model of corporative global performance through the alignment of strategic objectives (Balanced Scoreboard) and the improvement tools of productivity (Seis Sigma) for processes with multiple answers that would be the robust enough to serve based on its application within the poultry industry to connect the performance strategy efficiently and the customer satisfaction. The model called SSIMB: 2017 proposed shows how a control framework must be implemented with the aim to go farther than the DMAMC, or the supervision of performance of the financial and non-financial measures with this could be determined in an effective way how the indicators could be embedded and be related each other to improve the global performance of an Enterprise. The model applies that the strategy, performance and the customer satisfaction are aligned, the organization will obtain benefits for an intense relation that exists between both the performance process and the strategic initiatives. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos., 2018) Vásconez Andrade, María José; Chico Frías, Ángel EnriqueThe factors of quality in the service are fundamental elements in the effective development of financial institutions, the correct conception and application of the term accompanied by functional strategies allows to reach a higher level of competitiveness. The present study focuses on the four banks with the largest assets of Ecuador; the generation of added value in the service is the differentiator that allows to consolidate financial relationships. The perception of the client against the level of expectation of the service received creates a range of vulnerability, since not being attended to in due time could cause the levels of detractors to increase, as well as the number of claims and requirements, causing a greater expenditure of resources and finally, the customer's untying with the entity. The analysis of the SERVQUAL quality model allowed us to study the five dimensions: reliability, security, tangible elements, responsiveness and empathy and, in turn, identify the level of expectation versus perception. Through mathematical weights, it was possible to demonstrate which is the dimension that causes the greatest influence on the client's perception, to focus more specific efforts and correct deficiencies that reduce the dissatisfaction gap preventing these errors from being identified by the competition and becoming in a threat that affects the entity. The development of conceptualizations facilitated the understanding of the present investigative process, by means of the use of quantitative tools and statistical analysis obtained with the SPSS tool, it was possible to demonstrate the level of correlation of the variables. For the competitiveness analysis we used financial data for the year 2017, comparing the institutional data was based on the Panzar and Rosse model. Finally, the identification of the dimensions clarifies the panorama within the financial institutions and the opportunities for improvement. It is important to emphasize that banks maintain a very close competition, and that the continuous monitoring and improvement of processes results in long-term relationships with the client, consolidated with a greater placement of financial products, and therefore reflected in economic returns for the clients Banks. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2018) Freire Ruíz., Alexandra Soledad; Ballesteros López, Leonardo GabrielThe business world and its increasingly globalized growth force businessmen and managers to adapt to an undeniable reality that is currently being experienced as unfair competition, the creation of new laws and market barriers, if they do not take actions, strategies or plan how to face these challenges will disappear from the market. Although there is a myriad of information as analytical tools for decision making, it is vitally important to define the business action plan. The automotive sector has been declining for some years, due to import barriers and high tariffs, which has caused the rise in prices in new vehicles. Meanwhile for the subsector of sales of vehicle responses the outlook is promising as the useful life of used cars is lengthening and therefore the demand for such spare parts is increasing, in addition the entry of new models of vehicles from Asian countries has caused companies to increase their business lines. For this, the following stages of the study were followed: For this, several stages were followed. Stage No. 1: collection of data required for the study, data collection was done from several sources, including the company under study, suppliers, etc., Stage No. 2, estimated the demand forecast expressed in units for the period of one year, for this stage several quantitative models recommended for the prediction of demand are applied. Stage No. 3. Determination of the economic lot of the order, for which the variations of the EOQ model, better known as the economic order lot, are applied. In Stage No. 4, preparation of an Annual Materials Requirement Plan, in order to establish the number of orders per year, when placing an order or order, the average inventory to be handled, among others. Finally, in Stage No. 5, development of a computer application, a computer application is designed and developed to apply the results obtained in the study company. it can be concluded that the total cost for inventory management through the implementation of this research work is $ 5,566 per year, while the cost of traditional handling of inventory amounts to $ 14,057 per year, representing a 40 percent savings by product. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2018) Quinteros Urquizo, Irma Llomaira; Santamaría Freire, Edwin JavierAt present the dimensions of the value of the brand have influenced in some way in the behavior of purchase of the consumers, the automotive sector is not the exception for this rhetoric. Therefore, the objective of this study is to determine the dimensions of the brand that intervene in the purchase intention process and the impact they have on consumer behavior when making the final decision. t is very important to study the factors that intervene in the purchase intention, and in the same way determine the influence that the dimensions of the brand have on these. This research uses two quantitative methods to measure the impact of the brand's value on the purchase intention, the first is made by the Pearson Correlation method determines the most relevant and significant elements, and the correlation that exists between these . The other method to be used is that of discriminants in which the representative variables are identified, those that interact with each other and those that work alone. Finally, thanks to this measurement, a strategic plan is presented consisting of those variables resulting from the statistical analysis. These strategies are easy and effective to apply since they are adapted to the environment provided by the automotive sector and which aim to improve the purchase intention of light vehicles in the downtown area. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2018) Bonifaz Soria, Fernando Ricardo; Miranda López, Rodrigo FernandoThe disadvantages of financing faced by dependent socioeconomic companies, including public hospitals, are the results of frequent changes in laws such as subsidized regime administrations, decrees, and problems in the flow of resources led to high rates of overdue loans and poor rotations, the Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social has been having a high level of past due loans, it is a fundamental factor that affects profitability. In the purely financial contour of the Institution, it reveals its deficiencies in the management of the Management model for the collection of overdue portfolio due to employer default, for which reason this forces the institution to carry out a restructuring, the Institution's problems came from the obsolete management of the management model for the recovery of the employer's default, which led the institution to have minimal returns because of an impressive past due portfolio in employer default, which directly influences the decrease in the profitability of the institution, the crisis in the Ecuador has been caused by factors such as an inadequate investment system, economic recession worldwide, constant reduced price of oil, the institution perceiving the need to reduce the level of past due loans, has seen the need to implement how to improve the framework legal, cancellation of interests, hiring of external lawyers, among others, log To encourage employers to pay immediately for unpaid contributions. For this, we will analyze through the multinomial logistic model the probability of recovery of the portfolio of the different management systems of the areas aimed at the recovery of overdue loans at the Institution. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2018) Pucha Medina, Paola Martina; Burgos Arcos, Carlos LeonelThe present investigation is aimed to determine the documentary structure through a model of relations between the elements of quality management (QM) and organizational performance (OP), as well as the effect on the satisfaction of the internal client (SIC). The study started from theoretical conceptual theoretical support, through a definition of categories, hypothesis of research or departure and the pointing of variables. Subsequently, a methodology was proposed that coexisted with a qualitative and quantitative approach, the method was inductive and deductive, exploratory, descriptive and correlational; Analyzed factorially through Checklist techniques for further analysis of variance by means of ANOVA using a design of experiments with completely randomized blocks, which obtained an Fc (Fisher Calculated) = 74.2. The population was 52 Savings and Credit Loans belonging to the Cooperative Financial Sector segment Five of the province of Chimborazo, located within the 10 cantons and 61 parishes, which reached an α (Cronbach) = 0.987. The quality management model (QMM) was determined by designing a structure documentary suitable and according to the needs of the sector and driven mainly by a quality manual (SCF-MC-01) with ten points of application, then ten procedures were raised, within which is a joint Balanced Scorecard procedure (BSC), to achieve short, medium and long term results. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2018) Aguirre Flores, Francisco Xavier; Barreno Córdova, Carlos AlbertoOperational management within the budget execution of sales takes a relevant role in the organizations for the improvement of processes, in such a way that allows the heads, managements and directions maintain an adequate level in the planning, control and monitoring of the plans operative that are carried out, with the purpose of influencing positively in the reduction of risks in decision-making and increasing the profitability of the companies, with the achievement of the goals and objectives proposed. Currently, the competitiveness generated by the increase in supply in the market forces the business sector to use administrative, statistical and financial tools to quantify data to establish strategic action plans. In such a way that there lies the importance of the proposal and implementation of an operational management model capable of sustaining a solid planning that sustains in a technical way the budget execution of sales. Thus, the purpose of this research is the development of an operational management model that is aligned with the strategic objectives of the companies so that the budget execution of sales is leveraged in demand analysis and projections and / or forecasts using methods such as: moving average, weighted moving average, exponential smoothing, among others. The multiple correlation method proposed for the establishment of strategies that allow the balance between discount and gross profit for the proper management of price generation, allows flexibilizing and strengthening the response capacity in negotiations that are generated in the market, as well as with price variations implemented by the direct competition of the companies. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos., 2018) Recalde Cortés, Carla Stephany; Quisimalín Santamaría, Hernán MauricioThis paper was to analyze the demographic behavior of young people in the city of Quito and how they affect the use of digital banking. It is evident that technology plays a very important role and the profile of consumers in the financial system is not the exception, for this concept it was necessary to publicize the entire incidence of young people today and to quote as a reference the new generations as It's the millennials. In order to describe the incidence of these demographic variables in digital banking, a descriptive analysis was carried out that details all the information gathered through surveys, in order to know the characteristics of this population segment, determined a profile and a possible behavior. It was key to investigate about the predictive models used in the banking to know the importance of them and with this to determine the most suitable model for the present investigation, the model that was selected was the binary logistic regression, which allows us to predict the result of a variable (Use of digital banking) through independent variables (Demographic aspects) and with this build the profile of customers who use digital banking through demographic behavior. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2018) Cuyo Chiluisa, Jessica Maribel; Burgos Arcos, Carlos LeonelThe stock management process carried out in companies along each link and supply chain should be appropriate to get an effective provisioning still further when it refers to the food producing companies. On-time delivery and product required amount by the customers reflects the good factory organization and enough product stock. Thus, when the raw material, supplies and finished goods are under control, it helps the factory to minimize the cost of stock breaks. That is why the main reason of this research is the management model development based on Montecarlo simulation method to improve the “Madrilena” sausage company monetary performance. The study is based on modeling a simulation system which contrasts with the product required amount and total cost by which it analyzes the methods that the company uses for the stock management and through the BCG Matrix analysis; it is known the special pork sausage which is the best product. In addition, It is used as a sample to analyze historic data getting the company monetary performance. Once the distributions using the Montecarlo method are known some simulations are carried out to conclude that: a stock management model to improve the monetary performance, by reducing the cost through the appropriate stock management the company will achieve the best return. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos., 2018) Andrade García, Maritza Fernanda; Oyaque Mora, Silvia MelindaAt present the use of quantitative techniques for business activity is scarce since the traditional method of obtaining costs has been the main actor in the accounting and financial information of companies. Therefore, the objective of this study is to determine a quantitative technique for the management of inventory and setting of post strategies to improve profitability indexes and improve administrative management for sound decision making. It is of vital importance to study the factors involved in obtaining production costs, as well as to determine how they influence the profitability indexes of the company. In the present investigation, two quantitative techniques are used, the first one refers to the method of correlation between variables that determines the most relevant and significant elements and the relationship that exists between them. The other model to be used is the inventory cushion model that determines the optimal quantity of inventory in relation to its maximum and minimum stock. Finally, thanks to this application a strategy plan is presented composed of those qualitative and quantitative variables identified in the present research work. These strategies are easy to apply and require a short and long term follow-up, whose objective is to determine an action plan for an optimal growth of the company.Item Calidad de Servicio, un Modelo de Gestión competitivo para el sector Farmacéutico(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos, 2018) Bonifaz Orellana, Álvaro Joaquín; Valencia Nuñez, Edison RobertoCompanies that produce service, like those that produce articles; they can also base their decisions on quantitative analysis, statistics that allow inferring in the population and manage their qualitative variables. The Ecuadorian pharmaceutical sector, like many, has been immersed in a conglomeration, where it is easy to deduce that integral quality is the letter of permanence and future in the market. The long-running franchise Farmacias Cruz Azul has been eclipsed in recent years, by the freshness of Farmacias Económicas in Ambato; so the present study allowed to analyze the causes and especially to develop a qualitative-quantitative model based on consumer preferences. Base for emulation at the national level and application in more service companies. Integral quality in a service company takes into account important details such as Tangibility: order, lighting, location; Reliability: level of service, what to offer vs. what to serve; Response Capacity: optimal time to deliver the service; Safety: staff training; and Empathy: trust and customer loyalty. These details are the basis of a competitive company, where the customer every day knows the scope of their needs and the power of their demand. The use of statistical models is an interesting option to relate business variables. Through a study to the target client, the probability of occurrence of a specific event can be predicted, and anticipate the needs of the subject. Plan, organize, control and direct the company would have more sustainable growth tools. The Multinomial Logistic Regression model proposes to estimate the probability that the different independent variables influence the consumer's preference when choosing a pharmacy. This disaggregation allows determining the main variables: reason for choice, fidelity and low prices; that pharmaceutical managers must perfect to obtain a competitive management model.Item La Gestión de inventarios y los niveles de rentabilidad del sector florícola(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos., 2018) Tamayo García, Caterine Elizabeth; Guerrero Garcés, Luis LeonardoThe correct management of the inventory in the business activity not only provides the maximization of the technical results translated into liquidity, profitability, timely and relevant information, control and image, but also that increases the taxes that this reverts according to the quality of life of society and the individual High competitiveness in the business world and tight profit margins in many economic sectors mean that good management of available resources is essential to increase the profits of companies. Thus, Inventory Control has become a critical factor for the success of organizations. Companies in our country compete in the markets, testing their skills, to survive and generate value, which is their main objective This research was carried out to the senior managers of the flower sector, who provided us with internal and external information, which will allow us to carry out an analysis. It establishes the need to determine which are the variables or causes that affect the profitability of the floriculture which concludes that the management models used in the floriculture are not according to supply and demand, the order cycles are very broad and that there is a significant delay from the moment in which the requirements are made until delivery to the end user, the inventory management models that are being used in the floriculture have percentages of incidence in the profitability of means, the inventories are closely related and there is no adequate planning of the inventories. Being profitability an important factor to achieve business success, analyzing carefully the factors that directly or indirectly influence its growth in all areas. This supposes the comparison between the income generated and the means used to have it in order to allow the choice between alternatives or to judge the efficiency of the actions carried out, according to their respective analysis.Item Análisis de Impacto del Incremento del 2% del Impuesto al Valor Agregado en el Sector de Prendas de Cuero de la Dirección Zonal 3(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas. Maestría en Gestión Empresarial basado en Métodos Cuantitativos., 2018) Becerra Rodríguez, Daniel Fernando; Gamboa Salinas, Jenny MargothThe present investigation took as starting point the generation and application of a fiscal measure, with the objective of generating greater income for the recovery of those affected by the 2016 earthquake. The modification of the percentage of the Value Added Tax from 12 percent to 14 percent was very questioned by different sectors and economic analysts, since being a regressive tax it was argued that the application of this action by the executive would be counterproductive and would generate the rest of the productive and consumer sectors at the country level were affected. Based on these statements was born the need to execute an analysis using quantitative tools in order to verify if these statements were unfounded or based on real projections. For which reference was made to the sector "Manufacture of leather garments or regenerated leather, outer clothing", which is representative in the Dirección Zonal 3, which is made up of the provinces of Tungurahua, Cotopaxi, Pastaza and Chimborazo, since these provinces of the “Región Sierra” are recognized for the production of leather and footwear. In the framework of this study, the hypothesis was raised "The increase of two percentage points of VAT, generated a negative effect on aspects related to sales and total exports in companies related to the leather goods production sector." In order to demonstrate the hypothesis raised, the information of form 104 / 104A of the Servicio de Rentas Internas was taken as a reference, and the values of paid and declared taxes were analyzed, together with national and international sales and purchases, and with analysis of correlation of variables and the tool of prediction based on time series, it was possible to verify that the application of the economic measure implemented nationally for the period of one year from June 2016 to May 2017, did not affect the sector according to the predictions of sales flows and taxes. This conclusion is generated based on the comparison of the projections executed through the statistical prediction tool and the real data reported to the Servicio de Rentas Internas through its forms assigned for this purpose. The average variation of the real data of 16.96 percent over the predictions under normal conditions in the Dirección Zonal 3. This analysis was executed for the same sector but with data at the National level and the behavior remains but with a rate of 5.07 percent variation.
