    This research refers to a study process on vocational interests and career choice in students of the three levels of high school in its two specialties, of the Educational Unit "Ricardo Descalzi" where we worked with a population of 62 students with age range between 15 and 18 years old, 38 men and 24 women, with whom a nonsimultaneous transversal application was carried out, the instruments worked were the CHASIDE test that measures interests versus aptitudes according to a distribution in 7 areas, The instrument is designed for Vocational and Professional Guidance, subsequently a survey of factors related to career choice was designed, which was validated by two career professionals and submitted to the Cronbach's Alpha reliability test, with 25 items on a 5-point Likert scale, obtaining a reliability of 0.803. Once the instrument validation process was carried out, it was applied digitally through the Google forms platform, once the information was processed and classified, its analysis was systematized and then the total information of the two instruments was crossed in order to verify if there is a correlation between the variables that each instrument analyzes, through the Chi square statistical test, with the software, SPSS, obtaining as results a calculated X2 of 11.724 with 2 degrees of freedom at a significance of 0.05 which gives us a Tabular X2 of 5.9915, obtaining the calculation as follows: (11,724> 5.9915) = H1: Vocational interests DO influence career choice. By thus verifying the existence of a correlation between the variables and addressing the stated objectives, this paper concludes by highlighting the lack of longer-term, alternatively focused Vocational and Professional Guidance processes, based on the scattered and contradictory results observed in the test.

    This research work with the topic: “Vocational interests and career choice” in the students of sciences bachelors at “Nueva Generación” educational unit; with the main objective: Determine the incidence of vocational interests and career choices, based on investigation and participation of first, second and third year of general unified bachelor students, with a total participation of 60 students. The quantitative-qualitative and correlational methodology used, which contributed to recollect and obtaining results, using the bibliographic and field research modality was used, with a descriptive, exploratory and correlational scope, through which vocational interests in the choice of university career were known. With the investigation determined the vocational interests, applying the CHASIDE vocational test, giving the result that 44% of students develop marked preferences in humanistic and health sciences, also the HOLLAND vocational test was applied, giving the result that 40% of students prefer social areas. To verify the research work, the chi-square statistic was used with the SPSS program, which rejects the null hypothesis and accepted the alternative hypothesis, which states that vocational interest do influence the choice of university career in the students of science bachelor of “Nueva Generación” educational unit.

    The present research work was carried out in the Educational Unit “Joaquín Lalama”, located in the province of Tungurahua in the city of Ambato with the objective of analyzing the influence of vocational interests and academic stress in students. In chapter I, the theoretical framework was developed in which it is highlighted that there are many factors that can influence students' decision making regarding their professional future and on the other hand, factors that can cause stress in students are also described. Consequently, in chapter II, the methodology proposed was mixed, and the instruments used for the evaluation were the CHASIDE test and the SISCO SV-21 Inventory. As a result of the above, Chapter III presents the analysis and discussion of the results of each dimension proposed by these tests. The data collection was carried out in person and in groups to a total of 85 students, the data obtained were tabulated in Excel and analyzed by means of the Chi-square statistical test, giving the validation of the alternative hypothesis. Finally, in Chapter IV, after the results, the OrientaBot technological tool is proposed as a support for vocational orientation for students.

    The purpose of this research, called "Styles of thought and vocational interests", was to analyze the styles of thought and their influence on the vocational interests of students in the third year of high school. In order to respond to the proposed objectives, an exhaustive research was carried out in various bibliographic sources. As for the methodology, a mixed approach was used that includes descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational elements. In addition, the Sternberg thinking styles test was applied, which contains elements related to thinking styles, and the CHASIDE test, which contains dimensions related to vocational interests. In total, 137 students of the third year of parallel high school participated: "A", "B", "C", "D", and "E". To compare the results, the Kruskal Wallis statistical test was used to validate the alternative hypothesis. As a result, it was shown that thinking styles do have an impact on the. vocational interest.

    El presente trabajo de investigación sobre: Intereses vocacionales y la elección de la carrera universitaria en estudiantes de tercero de bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa “Ramon Barba Naranjo”, el cual tiene como objetivo: Diagnosticar el interés vocacional, mediante la investigación y participación de alumnos de tercero de bachillerato para la adecuada elección de la carrera universitaria, se trabajó con una población de 72 estudiantes de la institución educativa. En el aspecto metodológico se utilizó el enfoque cuanti – cualitativo y correlacional, el mismo que nos facilitó la recolección de datos, se usó la modalidad de la investigación bibliográfica y de campo, con un alcance descriptivo, exploratoria y correlacional mismo que nos ayudó a conocer los Intereses vocacionales en la elección de la carrera universitaria, el instrumento que se aplicó de manera presencial en la institución educativa, utilizando el Test CHASIDE para medir la elección de la carrera universitaria. Para la comprobación del trabajo de investigación se usó el estadígrafo Tau_b de Kendall, con él se rechazó la hipótesis nula y se aceptó la hipótesis alternativa que refiere que los Intereses vocacionales influye en la elección de la carrera universitaria en los estudiantes de tercero de bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa “Ramon Barba Naranjo”.
