    Diseño y construcción de un molde de inyección bicolor en aluminio para la producción de suelas de PVC para la microempresa A.T.I. Industrial

    The objective of this project is the development of an injection mold in which a bicolor box-type sole is presented as a product, destined for the production of the A.T.I INDUSTRIAL microenterprise and it was built in cast aluminum. For this, the dima was based on the technical specifications, modeled using CAD software for bicolor injection in order to have the dimensions to build the various parts that conform and determining the quality of the sole through tests. For the previous processes, various changes and verifications were made until a model that meets the expectations for approval was obtained. At the end of the processes, the respective checks were carried out using PVC Expander as raw material, where it was verified that the dimensions, calculations, and design were adequate for the manufacture of the sole. The built mold was used for bicolor injection and can also be used for monocolor. In addition, it will be produced based on tests that there are two factors by which the final product may vary, losing its characteristics depending on the type of material and color, requiring a greater or lesser percentage for the same filling

    Obtención de un material biodegradable y elaboración de un vaso a partir de almidón de maíz

    In this technical project the process for obtaining sheets of the biodegradable material was detailed, tests were carried out to give a final use to the material with the manufacture of glasses. To obtain the corn starch, the tender corn was soaked for eight hours, to give way to washing and wet grinding, the result was left at rest for 24 hours, the starch settling to remove water and residues, the starch was left to rest to that the remaining humidity is eliminated and when it dries to obtain cornstarch. The process for the manufacture of corn starch sheets was achieved with the mixture of tender corn starch, adding binders, glycerin, acetic acid, distilled water and heating it until obtaining a uniform casting. The samples obtained were sent to the laboratories for tensile, flammable and hardness tests, with the data the properties table for the vegetable plastic cup based on corn starch was presented. To produce the cup, a design of the glass was implemented using CAD software and the development of a mold for injection of the material. It concluded with the delivery of the technical sheet which includes the description of the product, applications and technical data such as the combustion rate which is 117,43 mm / min, a shore hardness D 73.85 maximum effort at the tensile 16,85 MPa, modulus of elasticity 756,439 MPa with a percentage of elongation 3.60 percent.

    For the realization of this project, the geometric parameters requested by the sponsoring company were taken as a starting point, once they were delimited, the design was carried out considering the machinery and equipment available in the company. Once the design was approved by the company, calculations were made based on the PVC, which is the material to be injected, and the injection machine where the mold would be used, to ensure the correct operation and cooling of the mold. Resulting in estimated feed channel values and ensuring adequate heat dissipation in each injection cycle. Subsequently, the mold was manufactured with the machinery available in the company, performing machining tasks in CNC machines and manual operations according to the need, to finally assemble the mold and mount it in the injection machine for the operation tests, thus validating the calculations and parameters used in the sizing of the mold.

    The present work has as objective to satisfy the necessity of the clients of the Halley Corporation Company, since this one comes to be sponsor of this project with the purpose of manufacturing a mold that counts on the geometric requirements and of design imposed by the same one to produce this type of supports which have materials provided by the company, which have the necessary characteristics for its elaboration. The project started from an idea of making the support in the form of a semidiadema which resembles what is required and necessary by the company, for which a design was presented by the author of this same work that had several modifications based on what is required. As a second point, the same calculations that were made based on the materials that the company had for this project, such as ABS as material for injection and other materials for the manufacture of the mold, were taken into consideration. Generating estimated values in terms of cooling systems, power and machining which would allow the mold to fulfill its function and have no problem. Once established these values and considering the availability of the machinery that owned the company proceeded to perform both manual and CNC machining of most parts of the mold and then perform the assembly of these and proceed to perform the necessary tests in the injecting machine itself of the company, demonstrating that what was accomplished was successful based on decision making and selection of both design and geometric parameters.

    The object of the present work is satisfy the necessity of the company Halley Corporation, with the end of do the arc pad in series in the same time with certain dimensions, for this reason the author of the work have requirements of the company for elaborate the mold, like the material that will be used for the building, and the plastic that will be used for inject the object that need the company. For this reason, the project was started with the modeling of the arc pad in a specialized software, after that we got the nucleus and cavity of the object to inject. Then with the help of the software we analyze the demoulding angles and the dimensions that need the arc pad. For other part, the calculations were obtained in based of requirements of the company like the material that will be injected, in this case the material is ABS, and the material that will used for the building of the mold Among the calculations that were obtained are the feeding, refrigeration and expulsion systems for asegurate the correct operation of the mold. For finish the project we realized machining of the arc pad with a CNC milling machine, also it was built the different elements that make up the mold. The tests of the construction of the mold were realized with the help of an injecting machine, in this moment we look that the selection of the systems were correct, because the mold had an adequate efficiency in the injection process.
