Item Aplicación web utilizando el marco de buenas prácticas ITIL 4 para la gestión de activos de ti en el área de soporte de la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito kullki Wasi Ltda.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información.This project arose from the need for a system to centrally manage IT assets at Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Kullki Wasi Ltda., since the IT Support Area carried out its processes manually using Excel spreadsheets, without automated validations or traceability, generating operational times of up to 30 minutes per assignment, poor information control, and difficulties in meeting the regulatory standards required by the SEPS. The process began with a diagnosis of the current state through semi-structured interviews and observation sheets applied to the IT Chief and two support technicians, identifying eight critical problems grouped into four dimensions. Subsequently, six components of the ITIL 4 best practices framework applicable to the solution design were identified, and development was carried out using the Scrumban methodology across five sprints, integrating modules for asset management, configuration, maintenance, evidence, and traceability. Results showed reductions of 92 percent in asset query time, 80 percent in maintenance documentation generation, and 100 percent in inventory report construction. The system was evaluated using the SUS questionnaire, obtaining an average score of 80.8 points, placing it in the good usability range, and recorded 339 audit events across 142 assets managed in production. It is concluded that the developed web application constitutes a viable system that centralizes the traceability of the technological asset lifecycle, strengthens regulatory compliance with the SEPS, and raises the IT management maturity level of the Cooperative.Item Helpdesk usando herramientas Open Source para la gestión de incidencias de soporte técnico en el Gad Municipal de Pelileo(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información.This thesis presents the development of a web-based HelpDesk system using Open Source tools for the management of technical support incidents at the Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal de Pelileo. The initial diagnosis, conducted through surveys, interviews, and direct observation on a census population of 75 municipal employees, identified two major bottlenecks: the lack of a formal incident registration system and the absence of control over response times and Service Level Agreements (SLA), which were managed through informal channels such as phone calls and WhatsApp messages. The proposed solution was aligned with IT service management best practices, implementing a digital Single Point of Contact (SPOC) that enables the structured registration, categorization, prioritization, and resolution of incidents. The system includes key modules such as ticket management, automatic SLA calculation, institutional knowledge base, and real-time analytical reports. The technological stack consisted of Next.js 14, Node.js with Express.js, NextAuth.js with JWT, Tailwind CSS, and Oracle Database 19c, selected according to the institution’s requirements. Carrera de Tecnologías de la InformaciónThe purpose of this project is to develop a Web Information System that centralizes graduate data, automates registration and update processes, facilitates the administration of surveys, and enables the generation of metrics regarding the academic and employment situation of former students. The system was built using modern technologies within a secure and scalable environment. The research was conducted using the Kanban methodology, which enabled incremental and continuous task management from requirements analysis through to development. Information-gathering techniques such as surveys and interviews with institutional stakeholders were applied. The system was developed using .NET Core, Blazor WebAssembly, and MySQL, integrating security mechanisms aligned with the requirements of the Organic Law on Personal Data Protection of Ecuador. The main findings indicate that institutions face significant limitations when relying on manual methods for registering and tracking graduates. A total of 70.9% of survey respondents expressed interest in knowing the graduates’ subsequent studies, and 51% showed interest in their work experience, highlighting the need for a centralized system. The implemented solution made it possible to automate registration, survey distribution, and statistical processing, while ensuring the protection of sensitive data and the generation of strategic reports. It is concluded that the developed solution improves accuracy in institutional management, strengthens the continuity of engagement with graduates, facilitates decision-making through reliable metrics, and demonstrates that .NET is an appropriate, secure, and scalable platform for educational information systems.Item Sistema web integrado bajo el modelo de evaluación CACES, para la gestión de procesos de autoevaluación institucional y de carreras en la FISEI(2026-01) Zapata Delgado Ricardo Steven; Lucero Estupiñan Isaac Daniel; Álvarez Mayorga Edison HomeroQuality assurance in higher education requires rigorous evidence-based self-assessment processes. The Faculty of Systems, Electronics, and Industrial Engineering (FISEI) at the Technical University of Ambato faced operational difficulties due to the manual and dispersed management of information required by the CACES model. The objective of this research was to develop and implement an integrated web system to automate and centralize the management of institutional and career self-assessment processes. A hybrid methodology integrating Extreme Programming (XP) for coding and Scrum for project management was used for development. The software architecture was implemented using .NET Core 9 for the backend, Blazor for the frontend, and Microsoft SQL Server 2022 as the database engine, ensuring scalability and security. The web platform automated the Teaching (10 indicators) and Research and Innovation (3 indicators) criteria, enabling the calculation of quantitative indicators and the validation of qualitative documentary evidence through controlled workflows. Carrera de Tecnologías de la InformaciónThis project presents the design and implementation of a web system for generating portfolio, collection, and billing reports in the Commercial Department of Empresa Eléctrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A. The need for this solution arises from the limitations of the current process, which is mostly manual, time-consuming, and error-prone, requiring significant effort from staff to consolidate the necessary information. Although tools such as SAP BO are available, they do not fully meet the operational needs of the company, leading to the frequent use of spreadsheets and legacy systems. Through a staff survey and an interview with the Head of the IT Department, key issues were identified, such as lack of automation, report delays, and workload burden. Based on this, a technological solution was developed using Angular for the frontend, Java EE and EJB for business logic, Oracle 19c as the database system, and Apache Maven for project management. The development followed the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology, supported by Kanban practices to organize workflow. The proposed solution aims to optimize processing time, improve the accuracy of reports, and facilitate decision-making. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2025-02) Masabanda Chaglla Kevin Wilfrido; Morales Paredes Pablo Israelxxi ABSTRACT The digital transformation has compelled physical stores to face the challenge of adapting to e-commerce to avoid the risk of stagnation, loss of competitiveness, and even failure. In response to this need, this project develops a responsive web system with a strategic SEO approach, designed to optimize the sales process of physical stores in the urban area of Ambato, increasing their online visibility, attracting potential customers, and strengthening their market position. The system was built using the Laravel framework, employing templates that ensure a responsive design across various devices, thus enhancing the user experience. The MySQL database was used to manage information securely and efficiently. Additionally, SEO strategies were implemented, allowing the system to stand out in search engines, making it easily accessible to interested users and expanding its digital reach. Through the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology, the project development was managed, ensuring incremental deliveries and adjustments based on the specific needs of the beneficiaries. This methodology enabled close collaboration, ensuring that the system was aligned with the expectations and specific requirements of the users, facilitating faster and more effective adaptation to their processes. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2024-02) Nuñez Guerrero, Jonathan Daniel; Chicaiza Castillo, Dennis VinicioCurrently most educational institutions have a medical department in which information of teachers and students is documented in a medical record in case of emergency to have an indication of how to act, since some teachers or students may have allergies to medications, pathologies, important diseases that could be critical to be treated within the institution. The objective of this research project is to improve the management of the documentation of medical records of teachers and students, so it is proposed to implement a web system based on the Model, View, Controller (MVC) architecture to manage the medical records of teachers and students of the Gonzalez Suarez Educational Unit located in the city of Ambato. The web system was implemented using the Laravel Framework, since it offers a solid and coherent MVC structure, which guarantees a clear separation of the business logic and a better organization of the code, it also has a wide range of tools and features that help speed up the development. The database manager used is MySQL, which guarantees efficiency and reliability in the storage of information. The methodology used for the development of the research project is the Agile Unified Process (AUP) methodology, in which there are four phases. The initiation phase focuses on establishing the objectives and scope of the system, the elaboration phase is where the use cases are identified and prioritized, the construction phase is responsible for implementing the solution and testing, and the transition phase is the final delivery of the system and its preparation for deployment and use by end users.Item Sistema web responsive utilizando contenedores y el stack mern para mejorar la experiencia de usuario en el sistema de evaluación docente de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2023-03) Constante Prócel, Célimo David; Ibarra Torres, Oscar FernandoThere are different components within the process of higher education, most universities in the country aim to train professionals with critical thinking that have specialized in a branch of knowledge that allows them to solve different social problems, which is why the institutions make their best effort so that future professionals during their training process have at hand the best resources to ensure a quality education. In addition, there are several elements that interfere during the learning process, infrastructure, academic curriculum, values and principles, etc. Even though different points of view may be taken, teachers are a fundamental piece during the formation of future professionals, since they are the ones in charge of guiding them during their academic trajectory. Therefore, special care should be taken to determine what practices teachers teach in their courses and whether these are aligned with the institutional statutes. Only in this way will it be possible to guarantee that at the end of their training process a professional will be able to perform their position in the best possible way. This tool seeks to simplify the teaching evaluation process in order to generate a constant feedback that allows raising the quality standards in the learning process. In certain dental offices, there are processes that have not been automated as they are done manually according to their specialties, however, there is the possibility of automating them as is the case with the process of diagnosing orthodontic treatments. The aim of this project is the development of a web system for the diagnosis of orthodontic treatment in the dental office "Estévez Dental Group" because the office currently keeps manual records. Therefore, the implementation of the web system optimized this process. Additionally, it allowed for optimal and automated analysis resulting in efficient diagnosis. The web system was developed using Angular, utilizing its technology and development advantages. The database engine used was MySQL. For its deployment, it was on the Somee.com server. The Extreme Programming (XP) methodology was applied for the development of the system, with the goal of achieving development in accordance with proposed activities and project planning, taking into account design and order aspects. Additionally, this methodology was adapted to the size and duration of the project, while maintaining direct communication with the client.
