Item Administrador de servicios TI con Software Open Source GLPI para optimizar la gestión de procesos de inventario en la empresa Megakons S.A.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. As a company that manages a wide range of technology assets, optimizing inventory control resources is a key objective, making open source software an excellent alternative. In addition to inventory control, the company aims to streamline processes by minimiz ing the risks of data loss or possible human error during inventory management. To achieve this, research was conducted that led to the adoption of the GLPI tool, a service management manager for IT. The software was deployed on a virtual machine running Ubuntu Server 22.04.2. This virtual machine was created, installed, and configured within the Proxmox virtualization environment. After completing the necessary configurations, essential tools such as Apache, MySQL and PHP were installed to ensure the prope r functioning of GLPI. To accurately record assets, the GLPI Agent was used on each of the company's devices, allowing data to be acquired directly and recorded on the server. These difficulties negatively impact the company's performance as well as the quality of service provided to customers. Thus, it is proposed to conduct a comparative analysis of different load balancing algorithms that allow the distribution of requests among virtual machines according to various parameters. The primary objective of this project is to determine which algorithm offers the best performance in optimizing time and resources. The methodology used to achieve this objective consists of three stages. Firstly, a detailed bibliographic review of load balancing algorithms is conducted to select the most suitable algorithms for the study. Secondly, an experimental scenario is designed and implemented using web servers and virtual machines, allowing for the measurement and analysis of the obtained results. Finally, the performance of the selected algorithms is compared, and the algorithm that performs the best is identified. The project aims to identify the primary challenges faced by small companies regarding the management of time and resources on their web servers that employ virtual machines. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2024-02) Silva Segura, Bryann Sebastian; Jara Moya, Santiago DavidThis project establishes the relationship between Wi-Fi networks and artificial intelligence, after analyzing the information collected from the review of previous research works and the instruments of data acquisition applied to customers and technicians, some problems in the home networks were detected such as intermittent Wi-Fi signal, low connection speed, high packages loss rate, saturated bandwidth, high jitter and latency for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency. The prediction model “Decision Tree Algorithm for Regression and Classification” is used because it was the model that best fitted the software requirements. This model allows measurements, network analysis, optimal values predictions, and failure detection carried out through the comparison of data obtained in the measurement and the values predicted by the algorithm, contemplating the conditions and limits established based on the frequency used and the speed plan contracted by the customers together. The developed tool provides an option to gather reports once the scan is completed and it predicts the correct location of the router in the customer's home. A technical guide is included, which contains methods to mitigate the failures detected on Wi-Fi networks. Among the proposed corrections there are change of channel, device management and load balancing, which allows the network to be supervised in a technical way, reducing the time used by each technical support provided to customers.Item Análisis de seguridad basado en el marco de ciberseguridad del NIST para la protección del sistema informático de la Unidad Educativa “19 de Septiembre” del cantón Salcedo(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2025-02) Narváez Tanguila Erika Thais; Sánchez Zumba Andrea PatriciaThe growing reliance on information systems in educational institutions highlights the need for robust cybersecurity strategies to safeguard sensitive data and ensure operational continuity. Educational environments, like the “19 de Septiembre” Educational Unit in Salcedo, are particularly vulnerable to cyber threats and physics due to limited resources and a lack of formalized practices. This research focuses on implementing security measures based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework to address these challenges and improve the institution’s overall cybersecurity posture. The study began with the identification of physical and cyber threats, using a risk matrix, these threats were classified according to their probability and potential impact, providing a structured assessment of the vulnerabilities within the institution. The NIST framework was subsequently applied to evaluate the cybersecurity maturity level across its five key functions: Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover. Results revealed that most functions remain at an initial level of maturity, characterized by informal and reactive practices, that make it more prone to incidents. To resolve these deficiencies, a cybersecurity guide tailored to the institution’s needs was developed. This guide provides a comprehensive strategy focusing on asset prioritization, policy creation, incident response protocols, and continuous staff training. The aim is to elevate the institution’s cybersecurity maturity while fostering a culture of proactive risk management. This study significantly enhances the resilience of the “19 de Septiembre” Educational Unit against cyber threats. Business and home networks are susceptible to attacks, so proper configuration is necessary to prevent outsiders from connecting to the network, endangering personal or business information. The present work aims to perform intrusion attacks to the home network with different tools such as Airgeddon, Aircrack-ng, Wifite to detect vulnerabilities. In a practical way, it is an ability that certain people make use of to obtain information, access to information systems that allow them to carry out some act that harms or exposes the person or organization involved. For the development of this project, the DigitalOcean platform was used for the virtualized cloud service, the Gophish framework was used for the creation, planning and execution of attack simulation, using the Phishing technique and the Hunter.io tool for the discovery and collection of emails. It is important to evaluate the security of computer systems that handle information of the institution, however, the human component that manipulates this, can become a source of disclosure of the same, being useful for an attacker. Therefore, it is of vital importance to know the level of cybersecurity awareness of students and teachers. In Ecuador, The Ministerio de Educación prepares the curriculum for the country's educational units, but each of these is responsible for preparing and delivering the teaching distributive along with school hours, so it is necessary to have a computer tool that optimizes the time spent for these activities. The purpose of this project is to develop and implement a computer application to manage the school timetables of The Unidad Educativa Inés Cobo Donoso, due to the fact that the manual procedures currently carried out in the institution are not efficient and take more time than necessary. As a result, the following processes were streamlined: Management of Teachers, Students, Courses, Classrooms, Subjects, Instruments, Preparation of Timetables and Preparation of the Teaching Schedule. The Extreme Programming (XP) software development methodology was used, which facilitated the organization of activities by establishing delivery times in each of the user stories until the functional application was obtained. The desktop application was developed with the .NET 7 framework with its compatible programming language C# applying an N-Layer architecture to maintain flexibility, maintainability and scalability. MySQL was used as the database engine. Finally, the application installer was generated, which was implemented in the Educational Unit. The present work aims to apply a methodology of business continuity (BCM) to improve safety in the installation of a virtual platform, BCM describes the preparation and recovery of the platform against the contingencies, information is also collected from the current situation of the educational institution, identifies assets and critical processes, performs an analysis of the impact of business (BIA) and risk analysis to identify threats and vulnerabilities, as well as defined recovery strategies that provide the ability of resistance in the face of unexpected events. The rapid growth in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) offers high benefits and low operational costs, creating more stable and automated work environments. However, one of the greatest challenges in applying AI is the complexity of trajectory planning for mobile robots, as their behavior varies according to the scenario and algorithms used, making it difficult to compare learning and performance between different methods. This research, as part of the project titled "Use of Deep Learning Techniques for Trajectory Planning of Mobile Robots within an Industrial Process," developed a trajectory planning algorithm using Q-learning and a multi-agent system that collaborate in decision-making. This algorithm employs odometry and laser sensor signals to manage states and rewards. Tests were conducted in a ROS simulation environment and replicated in a real-world scenario with the KUKA Youbot robot to implement the algorithm's actions. The simulated environment recreates a space with obstacles, where a master agent evaluates the decisions made by the odometry agent and the laser sensor agent to autonomously make a final decision. Companies are looking to implement advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and reinforcement learning to automate industrial processes. This study was developed using the Kanban methodology, allowing the work to be broken down into several stages and tasks for monitoring and control. The implementation of the reinforcement learning algorithm SARSA to generate optimal trajectories in mobile robotic platforms is addressed, focusing on adapting and applying this "on-policy" algorithm, which updates its action values based on the direct experience with the environment. The experimental process included implementing the SARSA algorithm in a simulated environment for the autonomous-capable KUKA YouBot robot and a LIDAR sensor on an Nvidia Jetson AGX Orin module. The agent interacted with the environment through training episodes, learning through ε-greedy policy exploration and exploitation of the current and next actions available and computed based on the current and next states, respectively. The trained models were tested in a real environment with the KUKA YouBot robot to validate their performance under practical conditions. Finally, the results were integrated with a larger project using Deep Learning techniques to optimize autonomous trajectories in mobile robots within industrial processes, demonstrating the feasibility and advantages of using reinforcement learning algorithms in advanced robotic applications.Item Aplicación del proceso threat hunting para la detección de vulnerabilidades y contramedidas en la infraestructura de red del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Ambato.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Given the constant increase in cyberattacks and the ongoing evolution of tactics employed by malicious actors, it is essential to have an effective strategy that enables the identification and mitigation of threats in real time. In this context, this work proposes the development of a comprehensive manual to implement the Threat Hunting process in the network of Ambato Fire Department. Utilizing a variety of specialized cybersecurity tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, and Advanced IP Scanner. Additionally, a manual analysis of log files was conducted, delving into the understanding of their handling and their relevance in the realm of cybersecurity. As a complement, a Python code was developed to enhance the analysis, with the purpose of identifying and addressing vulnerabilities that could jeopardize the solidity of the network infrastructure. This approach not only allowed for the detection of security weaknesses but also paved the way for the planning of various countermeasures aimed at strengthening the identified susceptible points in the network. Information technologies are being updated and it is necessary to be constantly trained to always be at the forefront of each new implementation that exists. In the computer environment it is necessary to know how hardware and software work in order to provide the best service to those who need it; due to the demand that technologies have had in recent years, companies have chosen to improve their computer resources by entering the world of resource reduction. Within virtualization, we want to limit the use of resources to reduce costs and improve the performance of companies, since what a company wants is for its computer environment to be firm and sustainable to get ahead. The developers of the companies have chosen to use virtualization through virtual machines or containers for the use of multiple operating systems on a single server for the execution of applications developed on them without consuming too many resources. This project aims to demonstrate the use of virtual machines and containers in the testing of applications specifically developed in C#, it carries out a comparative Benchmarking between the two virtualization methods demonstrating which is optimal in terms of boot time, speed, performance, and use of resources. It generates 2 environments: The first is a Docker AlmaLinux 8.6 container and the second a AlmaLinux 8.6 virtual machine installed by means of KVM, in both the same application was tested and data was captured determining which one is best for testing applications generating firm conclusions for future companies to start applying it.Item Aplicación Firebase Android para la gestión de tareas académicas a los estudiantes de educación básica en la Unidad Educativa Emanuel(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. The objective of this project is to assist students and teachers of the Emanuel Educational Unit in the processes of academic homeworks by providing a technological tool for this purpose, so reducing the rate of non-compliance and helping the management of new knowledge. The firebase Android application is used in the sending and receiving homeworks process, saving their information, their details, and their respective instructions in the cloud so that students always have access to them, also notifications are sent reminding them to perform the homeworks and review them for their respective submission, achieving that the compliance rate is higher. Tasks such as banking operations, online shopping, entertainment activities, access to information, and essential services have transformed the way we interact with the world around us. The present research project focused on the development of a hybrid application aimed at enhancing the product marketing processes of the microenterprise "Tu Despensa El Tío," located in the city of Mocha. The application was created using modern technologies such as Ionic, Angular, Node.js, and Firebase, ensuring a scalable approach. The methodology employed was Mobile-D, consisting of five key phases: exploration, initialization, production, implementation, and testing. Each phase was systematically executed to ensure an agile and flexible project follow-up, allowing for adaptations and adjustments based on identified needs during the process. Data collection was carried out through surveys and interviews, providing valuable insights for the application's creation according to the specifications and expectations of "Tu Despensa El Tío." Additionally, Firebase services, including Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication, and Firebase Storage, were utilized to enhance usability and reliability. However, their excessive use has raised significant concerns, for which few or no effective solutions have been provided to date. This study focuses on the control and monitoring of students to combat nomophobia and the problems associated with this condition. An applied research approach was conducted, utilizing surveys directed at representatives, students, and teachers from an educational institution. These surveys allowed for the collection of requirements from representatives and teachers for the development of two interconnected applications. Meanwhile, data on the causes of nomophobia were gathered from the students. Additionally, the research was complemented with documentary records to better determine the indicators of nomophobia. The project led to the development of two applications for Android devices. The first, named “Monitora,” is designed to enable representatives to control and monitor students. The second, “Guardian,” operates as a service that collects data related to mobile phone usage and complies with the instructions provided by “Monitora.” For the implementation, Kotlin was used as the programming language, Jetpack Compose for building the user interface, and Firebase Realtime Database as the data storage system. This eliminated the need for a traditional backend and enabled the use of a backend as a service (BaaS). For this purpose, data collection was carried out to identify the needs and difficulties they face in their daily communication. The main objective was to develop an application that would not only facilitate their communication skills, but also give them the opportunity to actively participate in chat conversations with other users. The application was built using Java on the Android platform, and voice commands were implemented in order to allow users to control the receiving and sending of text messages through spoken instructions. This approach not only sought to improve accessibility, but also to make the application more intuitive and easier to use for those with visual impairments. In order to carry out the development efficiently and effectively, the Mobile D methodology was adopted, ensuring an agile process that fulfilled each of its phases. The primary focus of this research is to provide a specific solution for people with visual impairments. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2023-09) Moposita Pullupaxi, Stalin Israel; Jara Moya, Santiago DavidServicio Automotorizado Nacional de Transporte Ambateño is a cooperative based in the city of Ambato that is dedicated to passenger transportation by buses on an interprovincial level, providing efficient, comfortable, and safe services to customers. The identified problem lies in the difficulties experienced by customers during the physical purchase of travel tickets. The development of a mobile application with electronic ticketing seek to address this problem . The mobile application allows customers to purchase travel tickets quickly, securely, and conveniently, eliminating limitations and issues associated with in person purchases. Information gathering was conducted through surveys and interviews with customers and cooperative staff, allowing for a de tailed understanding of the challenges and needs of users. Based on these findings, a payment system was designed that offers various flexible options such as bank transfers, credit or debit cards, and electronic wallets using Datafast and PayPal as paymen t solutions . The development of the mobile application was carried out using the agile methodology Mobile D, enabling efficient project management and the achievement of set objectives. The mobile application, developed on the Flutter framework and utiliz ing Firebase as the backend system, provides key functionalities such as schedule and destination visualization, seat selection, secure payment options, and generation of electronic tickets. This is because the owners of the sites belonging to this sector do not have an application that allows them to have updated their business information.The aim of this project is the development of a mobile application with audiovisual content for the promotion of tourist attractions of the Ambato city, which will allow you to easily find places of gastronomy, lodging and tourism, as the app contains relevant information such as: site description, address, hours, costs, social networks. It also has geolocation that will allow you to observe possible routes of how to reach the destination from the current location of the user, it has a section that contains audiovisual content which will be in sign language or promotional content of the place. All this information will be managed by the owners of each place that is being promoted, the audiovisual content will be managed by the person in charge of the Video Management Module (audiovisual content). For the development of the mobile application, Java was used as the programming language and the development IDE used was Android Studio. Firebase's Realtime Database was used for the database, as well as tools such as NodeJS, Firebase Functions, Messaging for sending notifications, and Firebase Authentication and Firebase Storage were used for information management. This research project focuses on improving the management of urban infrastructure maintenance in Ambato through the implementation of a mobile application with geolocation for citizen damage reporting, developed with the Flutter framework. The Mobile-D methodology, adopted in this project, has facilitated the efficient development of the application, allowing the creation of a highly effective tool. The choice of the Flutter framework has been key to ensure a smooth user experience and efficient implementation. The mobile application will enable citizens to efficiently and accurately report damage to urban infrastructure, speeding up the identification and resolution of problems by local authorities. This comprehensive approach will significantly improve maintenance management, ensuring an infrastructure in optimal condition for a safer and more liveable city. The careful determination of the development tools ensures a user-friendly application, simplifying the damage reporting process for citizens. The Mobile-D methodology has enabled the project requirements to be met in a timely manner, ensuring a successful implementation. In summary, this project proposes the implementation of a mobile application for citizen damage reporting in Ambato, supported by the Mobile-D methodology and developed with the Flutter framework.
