Electronic control systems have advanced at an impressive rate compared to other aspects of road vehicles. These advancements have enabled improvements in reliability, specific power, efficiency, comfort, and safety that would otherwise have been impossible. Reconfiguring the internal parameters of an electronic engine control system can completely transform engine performance and behavior. Modifying certain values in the memory of an integrated computer in the original equipment can unlock between 50 and 100 additional horsepower, opening up a range of possibilities for increasing power and improving volumetric efficiency. However, it is crucial to do this correctly, as it can be a significant challenge. Therefore, it is essential to correctly interpret the values obtained from the original computers, analyze the mapping, and observe electronic limiters or the mechanical power that the component or machine can deliver in order to extract its maximum performance without compromising its integrity. In this study, the original configuration parameters of the electronic control units (ECUs) of two vehicles from the same manufacturer, with similar specifications in their technical data sheets, were analyzed. Through this analysis, the manufacturer's requirements and specifications for the internal combustion engine vehicle and the hybrid vehicle were determined. Additionally, the injection, ignition, and turbocharger systems were examined using these maps. This allowed for verification of whether the torque requirement is lower in a hybrid vehicle or directly proportional to the use of the electric motor in relation to the power output of each. This study analyzes the original ECU parameters of two similar vehicles to understand manufacturer strategies in combustion and hybrid systems. By examining injection, ignition, and turbo maps, it evaluates torque demands, power delivery, and the influence of electric assistance while highlighting how electronic calibration significantly shapes engine behavior and performance.Item Estrategias de Mercadeo y Posicionamiento Comercial para la Asociación Ecuatextil Pelileo(- UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO - CENTRO DE POSGRADO- MAESTRIA EN GESTION DE PROYECTOS, 2025-10-08) Medina Arias Segundo Javier; Mantilla Falcón Luis Marcelo; - UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO - CENTRO DE POSGRADO- MAESTRIA EN GESTION DE PROYECTOSThis research seeks to create a strategic marketing and positioning plan for the Ecuatextil Pelileo Association to strengthen its position in the Ecuadorian textile market. The challenge identified is the lack of defined strategies, which prevents the association from attracting new customers, differentiating itself, and establishing a local presence. A mixed approach was adopted, utilizing quantitative techniques through surveys of members and customers, as well as qualitative techniques through interviews and competitor case studies, with the goal of diagnosing the situation and developing appropriate proposals. Information was collected from a sample of 400 people, taking into account different variables such as quality, sustainability, innovation, satisfaction, and likelihood of recommendation. Key findings include the fact that 80% of respondents rated the product quality positively, while 62.5% would recommend the association, demonstrating strong potential for customer loyalty. However, weaknesses were noted regarding the perception of sustainability and a lack of product innovation, which are critical for market positioning. Based on these findings, strategies are recommended to expand the production offering, strengthen its digital presence, promote sustainability, and improve customer service. The conclusions underscore that the adoption of the strategic plan will allow Ecuatextil Pelileo to meet market requirements, leverage its organizational expertise, and establish a strong market presence while reinforcing its leadership in the Ecuadorian textile industry.Item Desarrollo de una guía de archivo para almacenar los expedientes estudiantiles digitalizados, optimizando los recursos en la Facultad Ciencias de la Salud(- UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO - CENTRO DE POSGRADOS - MAESTRÍA EN BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA Y ARCHIVOLOGÍA, 2025-10-08) Rosero Sánchez Soraya del Carmen; Bravo Ramos María José; - UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO - CENTRO DE POSGRADOS - MAESTRÍA EN BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA Y ARCHIVOLOGÍAThe main objective of this work is to develop an archiving guide for the proper organization, storage, and management of electronic academic student records at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato. Given the need to optimize institutional resources, the decision was made to reduce the use of physical archives, improve the availability of academic information, and ensure the secure and orderly preservation of digital documentation. At the Faculty of Health Sciences, a diagnosis was made of the current status of student academic records management through surveys and a review of internal processes. The results revealed deficiencies in the organization of documentation, file duplication, a lack of standardization in file management, and inefficient use of technological and human resources. Based on these findings, an archiving guide was designed that includes technical and administrative guidelines for the management of electronic records, as well as recommendations for the digitization, classification, storage, and retrieval of documents. The proposal also suggests the use of available technological tools and training for administrative staff. The implementation of a guide will allow for a substantial improvement in operational efficiency, for greater protection and control of academic information, cost reduction, and alignment with institutional digital transformation policies. The Faculty of Health Sciences' document management would be optimally benefited by the proposed guide, which represents a viable and sustainable solution.Item Plan de mejoras para el manejo archivístico de la secretaría general de la Prefectura de Bolívar(- UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO - CENTRO DE POSGRADOS - MAESTRÍA EN BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA Y ARCHIVOLOGÍA, 2025-10-08) Gaibor Armijo Valeria Jasmin; Bravo Ramos María José; - UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO - CENTRO DE POSGRADOS - MAESTRÍA EN BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA Y ARCHIVOLOGÍAThe objective of this research was to design an improvement plan to optimize archival management within the General Secretariat of the Prefecture of Bolívar. The methodology followed a quantitative approach, at an analytical level, with bibliographic and field modalities, and worked with the entire population consisting of nine administrative staff members, using a structured questionnaire validated by expert judgment. The survey results showed that 89% of respondents partially know the archival regulations and 11% do not know them; 67% received only one training session in the last year, 22% none, and 11% do not remember; additionally, 33.3% carry out foliation and disposal, 22.2% prepare file inventories, 22.2% do not perform any procedure, 11.1% classify documents, and 11.1% conduct transfers, while 100% do not perform digitization processes. The conclusions determined that institutional archival management is limited by the lack of internal regulations, systematic training, and sufficient resources. Consequently, the proposed Archival Improvement Plan includes continuous staff training, the preparation and dissemination of technical manuals, the provision of infrastructure and technological resources, and the periodic monitoring of archival processes.Item La gestión de las competencias informacionales en la formación de usuarios: procesos académicos de ALFIN en una biblioteca universitaria(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO CENTRO DE POSGRADOS MAESTRÍA EN BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA Y ARCHIVOLOGÍA, 2025-07-28) Enriquez Carrillo Mary Yolanda; Mantilla Sandoval Cristina Alexandra; UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO CENTRO DE POSGRADOS MAESTRÍA EN BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA Y ARCHIVOLOGÍAThis research work was developed from the analysis of information skills in the training of users to academic processes of ALFIN in a university library. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the management of informational skills and informational literacy in university libraries. The methodology used in this research has a mixed approach that is qualitative - descriptive, which allowed the researcher to identify aspects that are relevant according to the object of study. The empirical work was aimed at students of the Faculty of Political and Administrative Sciences of the National University of Chimborazo, users of the Library. Thus it was determined that the university library is at the core of academic research and knowledge generation activities, with all bibliographic resources accessible to users. The conclusion is that the library as a dissemination centre of knowledge and information must have a relevant bibliographical background in order to organize it and elaborate it in a useful way, so that it can help decision making.Item Inteligencia de negocios en la toma de decisiones efectivas en el área comercial de cadenas de Retail.(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO MAESTRÍA EN GERENCIA DE LA CALIDAD E INNOVACIÓN, 2025-07-01) Rodríguez Celi Eduardo Paúl; Edwin Javier Santamaria Freire; UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO MAESTRÍA EN GERENCIA DE LA CALIDAD E INNOVACIÓNBusiness intelligence in making effective decisions in retail chains has a multidimensional approach, from which the research question arises: how does business intelligence make the decisions made in the commercial area of retail chains more effective? The objective of the study is to determine the role of business intelligence in decision making for the commercial area of retail companies. A qualitative study methodology with a descriptive approach is used; As data collection tools, four questionnaires are designed focused on measuring the processes ofthe areas of: sales, imports, marketing and finance to know if business decisions are made based on data analysis. The target population is the company LG Electronics of Ecuador, Whose commercial department is made up of 15 collaborators, distributed in the city of Guayaquil and Quito. The findings found are that the commercial area of LG Electronics of Ecuador carries out data collection, filtering, processing and analysis processes manually, relying on the Microsoft Excel System. Due to the management of each area and the volume of data, reports are processed by areas, are presented at the wrong time and decisions are made from a specific and not a comprehensive perspective. The company does not have a database of the main transport providers (internal and external), which causes inexperienced logistics operators to be hired, Which is why on many occasions the merchandise is received at the wrong time. Nor does it have a database that stores and processes historical sales data for each retail chain in the country. This is in order to better evaluate possible product offerings. Information literacy is an essential element in the academic field, as it allows students to identify, locate, evaluate, and use information effectively, contributing to their educational and professional performance. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach and employed techniques such as interviews with academic authorities and observation in study and learning environments. This analysis identified that the universit y community faces difficulties in using technological tools and digital resources, as well as significant information gaps in key competencies, such as critical evaluation of sources and ethical management of information. Based on these findings, a training proposal was designed, structured into thematic modules that address fundamental aspects such as advanced searching in academic databases, source quality assessment, correct citation and ethical information management, as well as strategies for the efficient use of digital libraries. This study contributes to strengthening the role of university libraries as agents of change in the knowledge society, promoting comprehensive training that meets the demands of today's academic and professional environment.Item Estrategias de alfabetización informacional para la optimización del uso de recursos electrónicos y bases de datos en la educación superior(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO - CENTRO DE POSGRADOS - MAESTRÍA EN BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA Y ARCHIVOLOGÍA, 2025-05-27) Cedillo Fárez Paola del Pilar; Mantilla Sandoval Cristina AlexandraThe purpose of this study is to evaluate information literacy strategies (ALFIN) in order to optimize and improve the use of electronic resources and databases in the library of the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana at the Cuenca branch. on the other hand, the study seeks to identify the skills, training needs and areas for improvement of current users in order to improve them; through a quantitative analytical level, a structured questionnaire with a Likeirt scale was applied to 200 active users. where basic knowledge, access to electronic resources and the impact of training provided by the library area on learning were explored, revealing that a significant percentage of users have basic skills, however, there are gaps in areas such as techniques for evaluating information and advanced search tools, despite this, the training was valued positively, and students expressed their interest in receiving more of these. Finally, it is concluded that information literacy strategies have a significant impact on learning because through the use of electronic resources and databases, learning and research are optimized. For this reason, the implementation of user training programs in a personalized or group manner is very well received, promoting improved performance and reaffirming the role that libraries have in the educational environment.Item Mejora continua de los medios de pagos digitales en la Cooperativa Chibuleo Ltda(2025-04-30) Machado Yánez Rodin Renán; Jiménez Castro Wilson FernandoThe convergence of technology and digital platforms has impacted the financial sector, requiring financial institutions to improve their payment methods and maintain a competitive advantage while ensuring customer security. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to explain the continuous improvement in the digital payment methods of the Chibuleo Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltda., a financial institution that contributes to the financial inclusion of its members and society in general. The methodology was characterized by a descriptive-correlational, non-experimental research, with a mixed approach, using a survey directed to 383 members and clients of the institution and an interview with 10 people who work in the area of electronic channels and payment methods. As a result, it was found that there were several areas that needed improvement, such as better integration of new technologies, better security measures in digital transactions and the need for training for both users and staff. Furthermore, the importance of designing a successful communication plan was recognized as a means of encouraging cooperative members to adopt digital means, as they still rely on traditional payment methods. For this reason, a continuous improvement plan was developed, which was based on the findings and focused on three key pillars: technological updating, training and security. The strategy covers the establishment of new digital payment systems, the reinforcement of the current technological infrastructure and the implementation of a continuous training program for employees and partners. As conclusions, it is noted that the continuous improvement in the digital payment methods of the Chibuleo Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltda. focuses on constantly optimizing the experience of its users, responding to their changing needs and the technological demands of the market. This process involves regularly evaluating and updating the security, speed and ease of use of the payment platforms, in addition to improving communication and customer support to ensure a reliable and satisfactory experience.Item Proyecto de factibilidad para la creación de un área de Responsabilidad Social en el Centro Integral de Atención Geriátrica Vida Feliz del Patronato de Amparo Social del Cantón Salcedo.(2025-04-16) Navas León Ana Lucia; Hurtado Yugcha Jacqueline del PilarThe revitalization of the environment and the improvement of the quality of life for vulnerable people has become a priority in public administration. In this context, the research on the topic of the Feasibility Project for the creation of a Social Responsibility area in the public Geriatric Care Centers of Salcedo, aims to generate the creation of care services for the elderly from a social service approach so that their development allows them better integration into the environment. Under the above, the Municipal Board of Salcedo generates its management based on the provision of innovative services that satisfy the needs of the elderly, thus promoting high social responsibility and territorial development. The methodological design used the mixed approach because it involved the collection, analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data necessary for the study, the scope of this exploratory study, allowed to gather information on the characteristics of the non-existence of a feasibility project, likewise from the descriptive research it is intended to describe the characteristics that have caused the problem, while the collection of information was carried out through the survey directed to the population of Salcedo generating relevant results on the need for a Geriatric Center in the town to promote an environment with social empowerment. Finally, the proposal allowed to outline a feasibility project in which innovative services are generated through competitive strategies that make a difference using the integration of social responsibility to improve the institutional profile through a service to these vulnerable people, therefore the financial management focuses on obtaining capital and work to place the service in demand and position the institutional geriatric center as a transversal axis of comprehensive care for the elderly.
