Item Práctica del baloncesto en la coordinación óculo-manual en estudiantes de educación general básica media(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-07-04) Pilco Chango Kevin Alexander; Mocha Bonilla Julio Alfonso; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteThe study entitled “Basketball practice in hand-eye coordination in students of General Basic Secondary Education” focuses on examining the effect of basketball in the improvement of fundamental motor skills. The main goal was to establish how this practice enhances hand-eye coordination in a group of students of the “Nueva Era” Educational Unit. For this purpose, a pre-experimental research was carried out, which included an initial diagnosis through the 3JS test, followed by an intervention based on basketball activities. The approach used was quantitative, using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis methods, such as the Wilcoxon test, to measure the discrepancy between pre- and post-intervention measurements. The sample consisted of 31 students, chosen through non-probability sampling, who engaged in training sessions for six weeks. The findings revealed remarkable gains in the motor skills assessed, particularly in locomotor coordination and object handling, showing an increase in the mean from 15.03 to 17.58. In addition, the percentage of students in low performance grades decreased significantly, while medium and high grades increased. To conclude, it was demonstrated that basketball is an effective resource to improve hand-eye coordination, and its systematic inclusion in physical education programs is advisable to promote the integral growth of students.Item Expresión corporal en la coordinación óculomanual en escolares de educación general básica preparatoria(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-01-20) Caizabanda Jerez Alex Wilmer; Medina Paredes Segundo Víctor; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteThe present study aims to implement a guide of playful and expressive activities to improve eye-hand coordination in students of preparatory general basic education at the José Ignacio Ordoñez Educational Unit. The research followed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, including the application of a pretest and posttest to assess student performance. The Purdue Pegboard test was used as the measurement instrument, allowing for the diagnosis and analysis of improvements in eye-hand coordination after the intervention. The results showed a significant improvement in the motor skills of the students: while 95.8% were at a medium level in the pretest, 75% reached a high level in the posttest. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the implemented activity guide, which included dynamics such as threading beads, ball games, cutting exercises, and painting activities. It is concluded that playful and expressive activities are effective pedagogical tools for enhancing eye-hand coordination, facilitating not only motor development but also improving students' concentration, precision, and active participation. Continuous implementation of these interventions in the educational context and ongoing teacher training in methodologies that integrate play and motor learning are recommended.Item Fundamentos de voleibol en la coordinación óculomanual en los estudiantes de educación general básica superior(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y Deporte, 2025-01-20) Martínez Tibanlombo Jonathan Daniel; Jiménez Ruíz Luis Alfredo; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Pedagogía de la Actividad Física y DeporteThis research was conducted at La Granja Educational Unit, located in the city of Ambato, province of Tungurahua. The main objective of the study was to determine how the fundamentals of volleyball affect hand-eye coordination in students of General Basic Education. The relevance of the study lies in the need to improve motor and cognitive skills through the implementation of volleyball fundamentals in the integral development of students. The research had a quantitative approach, with a pre-experimental, applied and longitudinal design. We worked with a sample of 27 students to whom the 3JS Motor Coordination Test was applied before and after the intervention. The study combined analytical-synthetic, inductivedeductive and comparative methods to analyze the incidence of activities based on volleyball fundamentals, such as passing, spiking, serving and receiving. The results obtained in the pre-test showed that a high percentage of students presented low and medium levels of hand-eye coordination. However, after the implementation of the volleyball fundamentals program for four weeks, the post-test results showed a significant improvement in the participants' hand-eye coordination. Statistical analysis performed with SPSS version 26 software using the Wilcoxon test confirmed that the intervention had a positive impact and that the participants' hand-eye coordination was significantly improved. In conclusion, it was found that the technical fundamentals of volleyball have a positive impact on the improvement of the students' hand-eye coordination, strengthening their motor and cognitive development. The constant practice of this sport not only improves precision and synchronization of movements, but also fosters values such as discipline, teamwork and concentration. This study contributes to the educational field by demonstrating that the implementation of structured sports programs can be an effective strategy for the integral development of students and their academic performance.Item Dribling del baloncesto en la coordinación óculo-- manual en estudiantes de educación general básica superior(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de Psicopedagogía, 2025-01-17) Moya Amores Carlos Mateo; Zapata Mocha Esmeralda Giovanna; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Carrera de PsicopedagogíaThis study aims to determine the impact of basketball dribbling on the eye-hand coordination of upper-level general basic education students at the "La Gran Muralla" Educational Unit. The initial coordination level was evaluated, a dribbling program was implemented, and the effects of the program on improving this skill were verified. To measure the results, the 3js test and a Wilcoxon statistical test were used, which showed a significant improvement in eye-hand coordination, with a p-value of 0.002. This confirms that dribbling has a positive effect on students' motor skills. The findings support previous theories about the effectiveness of sports, such as basketball, in developing fine motor skills, particularly the synchronization between the eyes and hands. Students who participated in the program showed improvements in the precision and speed of their movements, demonstrating that dribbling is an effective activity for improving coordination. This study provides evidence of the value of basketball as a pedagogical tool in physical education, suggesting its use to promote motor and cognitive development in students. It is recommended to expand future research with more participants and consider long-term mea.
