Within the framework of the health emergency, the tourism sector in Galapagos found itself in need of offering its products and/or services in an innovative way, which is why surveys were applied in March to 267 tourist servers and 383 tourists. subscribed to the Galapagos Ocean Safaris S.A.S. agency, obtaining that 34% of servers mentioned the importance of promoting tourism through virtual reality technology and 41% considered that implementing a mobile application would help promote their products and/or services, while, 0.7% of tourists mentioned the lack of information through mobile applications and 37.24% considered that an application would improve their tourist experience during their stay on the island. In this context. this project emphasizes the development of a multiplatform mobile application with virtual reality technology, to promote experiential tourism on Santa Cruz Island. Likewise, to give continuity in the agile management of the project. a hybrid methodology between XP and Mobile-D was used, which facilitated its development, relying on the use of technologies such as Flutter and Unity together with their programming languages Dart and C# respectively. Specifically, the development of a mobile application is proposed to facilitate interaction between the business and its customers, offering a more convenient ordering experience while optimizing the use of available resources. The purpose of this research project was to propose the implementation of a mobile application for the adoption of rescued pets. In this context, data collection techniques such as surveys and interviews were used to identify the problems of the shelter in this process and also to gather the requirements for the development of the application. The growing awareness of animal welfare and the need to facilitate efficient adoption processes highlights the importance of this initiative. The methodology applied is based on the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, taking advantage of the flexibility and speed offered by this method to adapt to the changing needs of the project. The use of the Firebase platform as a database provides a secure and scalable structure to manage information related to pets and adopters. The main line of research is framed within Software Development, with an emphasis on creating practical and efficient solutions to concrete problems. However, it faces various challenges related to the management of animal information and the adoption process. This project proposes the implementation of an augmented reality mobile application with the aim of streamlining the adoption process. The app allows users to view, through the camera of their mobile device, a representative 3D model of the animal, thus avoiding the need to physically travel to the Foundation. In addition, the application provides a detailed profile of each animal, allowing users to better understand its characteristics and reinforce their decision to adopt. This represents a significant benefit for the Foundation, as it contributes to reducing the returns of adopted animals. The mobile application not only facilitates adoption, but also manages the entry of animals to the shelter, as well as the record of dewormers and vaccines administered. Various technologies were used for its development: the application programming interface (API) was implemented with Spring Boot and PostgreSQL as the database manager, while the user interface was developed with Flutter. The augmented reality functionality was built using the Unity editor. The purpose of this research was to implement a centralized application for managing and attending to turns in the company's branches. In this context, data collection techniques such as interviews and surveys were used to identify the needs and requirements for project development. The RAD (Rapid Application Development) methodology was employed to achieve constant client feedback. SQL Server was used as the database management system, and React JS was employed for the application development. The TAM and UTAUT models were utilized to assess the acceptance and adoption of the application. This proposal optimized the generation, allocation, and handling of turns, while also enhancing the reporting process, providing the company with comprehensive information. This is the case of museums that seek to attract more visitors and provide them with a better experience. This project seeks a way to promote cultural tourism in museums by proposing a web application that uses augmented reality. Thus, surveys were conducted to find out the interest of visitors in this technology. In addition, the RAD (Rapid Application Development) methodology was used for the development of the application, which allows a close contact with the client and a quick delivery of the product. Express.js and React.js were used as development tools along with the MySQL relational database manager. Also, Model Viewer was used to apply Augmented Reality and the photogrammetry technique to model's 3D the museum's exhibits. This project arises in response to the need to modernize the educational and administrative processes of the institution, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic that highlighted deficiencies in existing educational platforms. Using a field and bibliographic research methodology, information was collected through interviews and questionnaires applied to teachers and students. The results, evaluated using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), indicated a high perception of usefulness and ease of use of the proposed LMS. The system allows optimizing course management, improving communication and providing effective follow-up to trainees, thus contributing to a significant improvement in the quality of gastronomic training. Angular was used in the frontend, providing a dynamic and intuitive interface, while the backend was implemented with Node.js for fast and efficient executions. State-of-the-art technologies, such as Wave Grandstream, were incorporated to improve the quality of voice calls. In terms of database, MongoDB was chosen, offering flexibility and scalability to manage large volumes of data. Regarding the development methodology, the XP methodology was adopted, which stands out for its agile approach. This allowed a flexible adaptation to change in the project requirements and a continuous delivery of functionalities. The system consists of several modules designed to optimize management and communication with partners. According to the INEC, in the canton of Ambato, located in the province of Tungurahua, approximately 1,127 people with visual impairments face barriers in using social networks due to the lack of appropriate tools and incompatibility with assistive technologies. This project aims to implement an assisted messaging system with natural language processing to facilitate interaction for visually impaired individuals on social networks such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, and email. It leverages technologies such as voice synthesis and recognition, along with auditory feedback, to enhance accessibility, improve efficiency, and reduce message delivery times. Additionally, it incorporates multimedia content search and playback, promoting digital inclusion and fostering greater technological integration. The project development process begins with requirements gathering through interviews conducted using a questionnaire based on the IEEE 830 standard. For system development, React was used for the frontend and Node.js for the backend. Firebase served as the database manager, while Dialogflow was employed for natural language processing. This method presents several problems, such as the loss of documents, significant delays and difficulties in accessing the information necessary to carry out this process. The main purpose of this research has been to propose a system that can manage the academic portfolio in order to simplify this procedure for the secretaries, who have been performing this task manually for years. In this context, data collection techniques, such as interviews and surveys, were used to identify the problems and possible solutions that can be applied to the identified process. Similarly, the proposed surveys helped to gather the requirements that will be the pillars on which this system will be implemented. In the development process, the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology was used, which focuses on rapid development, giving more emphasis to the development tasks than to the planning itself. It focuses on developing software in a short time through iterative prototypes that are reviewed and refined in collaboration with end users. (EEASA). The application utilizes socket technologies to provide real-time visualization of project progress. Initial analysis revealed deficiencies in project management processes at EEASA; stakeholder interviews provided insights into challenges and essential requirements, justifying the need for an automated solution. The RAD development methodology allowed for agile and consistent execution. The program is notable for its capacity to improve decision-making by providing real-time information through sockets, thanks to its Angular frontend and Spring Boot backend. Through the resolution of issues, the program secures data integrity and enhances project control and monitoring productivity, timeliness, and security. A. is a tool that helps determine the productivity of personnel through the position. However, after an analysis of the process in operation up to the time of this research, it became evident that valuable resources for the institution were being wasted. The purpose of this research project is the implementation of a web application that can efficiently manage the company's resources. In the research, information gathering techniques such as interviews were applied to explore problems and define needs and requirements for the development of the application. RAD (Rapid Application Development) was used as the application development methodology, since it allowed the development of the application in less time through continuous collaboration with the client and constant iterations resulting in a rapid development of prototypes and the application. The software development used Oracle database engine managed with PL/SQL, RESTful API type services through a multi-layer architecture and finally for the web application the Angular framework was used. Acceptance and usability were evaluated using the TAM model. In the dentistry field, the effective management of medical records is crucial to ensure quality care that generates patient satisfaction. The main objective of the project is to implement a web application for managing dental records with a digital geometric odontogram at the Saúde Medical Group clinic in the Pelileo canton. The key aspects of the project center around the control of medical records, standardizing the odontogram, and the digitalization of the budget, as well its sending and reception. Techniques such as: interview, survey and observation sheet have been applied to identify the drawbacks and requirements of the system. A hybrid methodology that merges RAD and Kanban practices is adopted for the development of the application. This combination has facilitated rapid construction, constant feedback with the final user, efficient flow management and task prioritization; supported by technologies for instance the fullstack framework Laravel and the MariaDB database. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) has reflected that end users are satisfied in terms of the usability and ease of use offered by the web application. Carrera de Software, 2025-02) Carrasco Santos Erick Josué; Ibarra Torres Oscar FernandoThe Quality Management Directorate of the Technical University of Ambato faced challenges in quality management due to the lack of centralized data, inconsistencies in information collection, and delays in the manual calculation of indicators, which led to delays in strategic decision-making. To address this issue, the project aimed to develop a web application to manage information and calculate quality indicators efficiently, optimizing the processes of the Quality Management Directorate. The purpose of the application is to centralize data, validate its consistency, and automate analysis through interactive dashboards, using modern technologies such as Golang for the backend and Svelte for the frontend. The Extreme Programming methodology enabled agile iterations and adaptations based on constant user feedback, ensuring a user-centered development process. As a result, the processing time has been reduced from 35.5 hours to approximately 6 hours, representing an 83% reduction through the use of the system. Additionally, the accuracy of the indicators has improved, and continuous monitoring of academic quality has been facilitated. However, they face challenges in information management and lack a means to share information with the finance department, responsible for receiving payments, for visualization and verification. This poses a problem when completing the process of delivering products and services. The current project proposes the implementation of a web application to establish an online process for acquiring and processing payments for services and products. This allows users to attach and verify information related to their respective processes. Additionally, the project aims to expedite the registration and validation of data through optical character recognition (OCR) and image processing. This manual manipulation of information makes the process tedious and inefficient, consuming valuable time resources of the company's collaborators. The purpose of this research project was to propose the implementation of a web application to replace this manual process. Data collection techniques, such as interviews, were applied to identify issues and collect the specific needs of the client regarding this internal process. The chosen agile software development methodology was Extreme Programming, facilitating constant communication and feedback with the client and ensuring efficient software development based on frequent value delivery. The web application was developed using the JHipster framework, enabling the creation of monolithic applications with the latest trending technologies. In this case, React was integrated with Spring Boot using Kotlin language in a containerized application for scalability. To ensure the proper functioning of the web application, integration tests were implemented. The continuous technological advancements and competition compel the industry to adapt more effectively to these changes. In the context of staying at the forefront of technology, the credit and savings cooperative "Credi Facil" found the need to offer its products and/or services digitally. In response to this scenario, surveys were conducted in May, involving 360 individuals, including customers and employees of the cooperative. The results revealed that 85.5% of the respondents were willing to use the online credit application system. For project management, the hypermedia-oriented object-oriented design method (OOHDM) was employed, enabling object-oriented modeling, use case diagrams, navigational contexts, and abstract views. This approach was supported by technologies such as Go and the Angular Framework, implementing MVC and multi-tier architectures, respectively. Additionally, specialized facial biometrics web services were utilized to implement an identity validation mechanism for customers, significantly reducing the risk of identity theft and fraud. Ultimately, the software was successfully implemented, and the TAM model was applied, resulting in 76.25% of users expressing satisfaction with the online credit application system. An adequate level of knowledge allows one to understand the environment, make informed decisions, solve everyday problems and continuously improve. In the workplace, having trained personnel aware of their responsibilities is essential to achieve efficiency and productivity, which leads to greater competitiveness and business success. At Empresa El´ectrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A. (EEASA), inefficient training and evaluation processes were identified due to the lack of an adequate technological solution. To address this situation, an initial observation of the training and evaluation process was carried out, followed by a survey of 199 employees and an interview with the head of the IT area. The results showed that 82.4% of those surveyed agreed to reinforce their knowledge and be evaluated through an online platform as part of the process. In this sense, the project focused on developing and implementing a web application to evaluate and strengthen the technical knowledge of EEASA employees. The AUP methodology was obtained to manage the project in an agile way, facilitating the process in each phase of the application’s life cycle. After the implementation, usability tests and surveys were carried out to evaluate its impact.
