    The structural liquidity risk management process is aimed at calculating and recording daily indicators to ensure that the liquid assets of a financial institution are sufficient to cover the liabilities due on time and in the necessary amounts. This research project focused on its automation for Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito San Martín. For the development of the system, the agile software development methodology Xtreme Programming (XP) and the Client - Server architecture were used. The system was developed using the C# programming language in conjunction with the .Net framework and SQL Server database server, in accordance with the policies of the entity for which the work was developed. The proposed tool passed the performance tests. Likewise, a value of 80.62 was obtained when measuring its usability level using the SUS instrument, applied to the potential users of the proposed solution. This result corroborates the fulfillment of the user's functional and non-functional requirements. It is concluded that the system for the automation of structural liquidity risk management processes implemented allows the process in question to be satisfactorily managed, avoiding the inconveniences of manual data processing.

    Implantación de una aplicación web progresiva para la administración post evento de capacitación del personal de la Empresa Eléctrica de Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A.

    This thesis project focuses on the implementation of a web application to improve the management and control of attendance at training events at “Empresa Eléctrica de Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A.” Currently, these processes are performed manually, which is prone to errors and excessive time consumption. The automation of these processes seeks to increase efficiency and accuracy, providing a more fluid and modern solution. Through interviews with the company's personnel, specific needs and requirements were identified in order to develop an application that meets these demands. The methodology used for software development was Extreme Programming (XP), allowing constant communication and continuous feedback with the client, ensuring efficient development and frequent deliveries of value. The Flutter framework was used to create a progressive web application, combining modern technologies for the user interface. For the backend development, Spring Boot was used as the Java tool and Oracle as the database, ensuring the robustness and scalability of the system. In addition, to evaluate the effectiveness of the application, usability and acceptance tests were carried out, applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) through surveys. The results indicate that users perceive the application as useful and easy to use, confirming its effectiveness in improving attendance control, event evaluation and certificate issuance. In summary, the implementation of this web application not only optimizes the company's internal processes, but also offers a more efficient and comfortable experience for participants, establishing a digitalization model that can be replicated in other organizations.

    The city of Ambato faces significant challenges in the collection and analysis of crime and casualty data, which negatively impacts public safety decision-making. Traditional methods, based on manual records and fragmented systems, are inefficient and error-prone, affecting accuracy and timeliness in tracking crime trends. This research project proposes the development of a system that combines a mobile application and a web platform, with the objective of optimizing the collection and analysis of geo-referenced crime data and creating a Business Intelligence (BI) analytical model. The system seeks to improve operational efficiency, reduce human error and provide a tool that facilitates administration and access to information for both authorities and citizens. The project was developed using the XP (eXtreme Programming) agile development methodology, which allowed for greater flexibility and adaptability to changes during the development process. This approach facilitated rapid iterations and the incorporation of continuous feedback, ensuring that the final product met requirements as system development progressed. The project is divided into two main applications: web and mobile. Flutter was used for the development of the mobile application, due to its cross-platform performance. For the web application, NextJS and NestJS were used, technologies that allow the creation of robust and scalable web applications. Additionally, a PostgreSQL geospatial database was used to efficiently manage large volumes of georeferenced data and develop a BI analytical model to visualize and analyze crime trends.

    Aplicación web para la evaluación del desempeño de los funcionarios de la Empresa Eléctrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S. A.

    The process of performance evaluations for employees at Empresa Eléctrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S. A. is a tool that helps determine the productivity of personnel through the position. However, after an analysis of the process in operation up to the time of this research, it became evident that valuable resources for the institution were being wasted. The purpose of this research project is the implementation of a web application that can efficiently manage the company's resources. In the research, information gathering techniques such as interviews were applied to explore problems and define needs and requirements for the development of the application. RAD (Rapid Application Development) was used as the application development methodology, since it allowed the development of the application in less time through continuous collaboration with the client and constant iterations resulting in a rapid development of prototypes and the application. The software development used Oracle database engine managed with PL/SQL, RESTful API type services through a multi-layer architecture and finally for the web application the Angular framework was used. Acceptance and usability were evaluated using the TAM model. This proposal made the whole evaluation administration process more efficient, as well as the performance evaluation process of the employees.

    Implementación de un sistema de control docente en la Unidad Educativa Rumiñahui ubicada en el cantón Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua

    In the Information Society in Ecuador, the adoption of technologies has significantly improved administrative management in public institutions. Web systems optimize administration and generate greater productivity, making processes more efficient. During the period 2022-2023, the Ministry of Education reported 12,341 public institutions that must effectively manage pedagogical and administrative activities, with attendance control being a crucial process in the administrative area. The purpose of this project is the implementation and deployment of a web system that handles the data management of teaching, administrative, and service staff at the "Rumiñahui" Educational Unit and manages the attendance records provided by biometric devices located at three different campuses of the institution. In this regard, the three campuses of the institution have been unified using Open VPN's Cloud Conexa, forming a Site-to-Site VPN. TypeScript was used as the main programming language for the system development. NextJS was used for the Frontend and NestJS for the Backend as development frameworks. Additionally, PostgreSQL was used as the database management system. The applied methodology was Crystal Clear, which adapts to the needs and size of the project team. For information gathering, interviews were conducted using a questionnaire based on the IEEE Std 830-1998 standard.

    Módulo de facturación electrónica adaptable al sistema “atiendo” y evalúo de rendimiento bajo la normativa ISO/IEC 25010 para la empresa Plasticaucho Industrial S.A.

    In sales management and electronic invoicing, it is crucial to have an integrated solution that avoids errors, delays and compliance issues, which can negatively affect a company's competitiveness. The absence of a unified system in these processes can result in significant inefficiencies. The main goal of the project is to develop an electronic invoicing module that seamlessly integrates with the "aTiendo" system. In addition, the module's performance was evaluated using ISO/IEC 25010 standards to ensure its efficiency. The development of the module involved the use of technologies such as Angular, ASP .Net, phpMyAdmin and Apache JMeter. Through surveys and meetings, client requirements were gathered to ensure that the module met the specific needs of the company. Functionalities developed included the generation and sending of electronic invoices, sales data management and detailed reporting. The project was managed with an incremental software development methodology, by clearly defining roles and creating a delivery plan divided into increments. This allowed to address in an organized and efficient way the different stages of the development, ensuring the successful completion of the module. The importance of the development is that the module will allow an effective integration with the "aTiendo" system, offering advanced sales listing, management and reporting capabilities. Additionally, the module will facilitate the generation and sending of invoices in PDF format by e-mail, as well as the implementation of an electronic signature system for invoice validation.

    Sistema web y móvil para la sistematización de la gestión administrativa y de asambleas del conjunto habitacional “El Portal de la Viña”

    The “El Portal de la Viña” housing complex consists of 303 residences, which makes it difficult for the board of directors to control the administrative processes, giving rise to challenges in the management of parking spaces, calls, and in treasury, since these processes are carried out manually. This project implements a web management system along with a mobile application to systematize the administrative and financial processes of the housing complex. In addition, geolocation is used as a mechanism to verify attendance and voting at assemblies. To do this, the Haversine formula is used to accurately calculate the distance between the resident’s location and the assembly point, thus ensuring that only those present can participate in the votes. The housing complex management system includes modules for the administration of owners, residences, payments, calls, guardianship, and parking. Modern technologies such as Angular and Ionic frameworks were used for the web and mobile client, respectively. For the development of the application programming interface (API), the Spring Boot framework was used along with PostgreSQL as a database manager. The validation of the implemented system was carried out by applying the technology acceptance model (TAM) to the residents of the housing complex, resulting in a positive acceptance of the proposed system. The implementation of this system is expected to improve efficiency and transparency in the administration of the housing complex.

    Sistema de gestión de recomendaciones de la Contraloría General del Estado para el “Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipalidad de Ambato”

    In Ecuador, the Comptroller General of the State (CGE) supervises the use of state resources in the Municipal Decentralized Autonomous Governments (Municipal GADs) through audits that generate crucial recommendations. The Municipality of Ambato faces difficulties in tracking and implementing these recommendations due to inefficient systems, making it challenging to meet the established deadlines. This project aimed to develop and implement a recommendation management system using Oracle APEX and the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology to improve efficiency and effectiveness in managing these recommendations. The system leveraged Oracle APEX for integration with existing technologies, while the XP methodology facilitated agile and collaborative development. Additionally, Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) was used to optimize work processes, allowing for the automation and centralization of information, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and reducing errors. To evaluate the usability of the system, a survey based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was applied, validated with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.95, indicating high internal consistency. The results revealed a high acceptance of the system among users, demonstrating its effectiveness and efficiency. Thus, the developed system has significantly optimized the management of recommendations, improving internal communication. The use of Oracle APEX and the XP methodology has laid the foundation for future improvements and technological expansions within the institution, thereby promoting better use of state resources and greater transparency in management.

    Prototipo de un sistema de monitoreo y control para la gestión de consumo de agua en los cultivos de plantas del vivero Michita mediante lógica difusa

    The main objective of this thesis work is the development of a prototype monitoring and control system for the management of water consumption in the plant crops of Michita Nursery, using fuzzy logic. This system seeks to optimize the irrigation of plants by integrating advanced technology, thus reducing water waste and improving the efficiency in the use of this vital resource. The developed prototype is based on a modular design approach, which includes the integration of soil moisture sensors, servomotors, solenoid valves and a microcontroller with Internet connection. The accuracy of the sensors is critical to provide accurate data on soil moisture status, allowing the system to make informed decisions on the amount of water needed for each plant. Fuzzy logic is used to manage irrigation decisions, focusing on pump speed based on rules that consider multiple variables and their interactions. The prototype development process followed the RAD (Rapid Application Development) methodology, allowing for rapid iteration and refinement of the system through short design, implementation and testing cycles. In each iteration, specific requirements were identified and addressed, ensuring that the system meets the needs of Vivero Michita. The prototype also includes a mobile application that provides a user-friendly and accessible interface for the user, allowing control and monitoring of the irrigation system. This application connects to an accessible database, which stores and manages all relevant information about irrigation and plant status, facilitating informed and timely decision making.

    Empleo de herramientas de analítica web como medio de apoyo para la toma de decisiones sobre la oferta de programas académicos

    The decision-making process in higher education institutions is a significant aspect that relies heavily on relevance studies. These relevance studies enable organizations to evaluate and improve their academic programs. To achieve this, programs are assessed based on student expectations and labor market needs. The main objective of this project is to provide an additional tool to support this process by offering a robust database and an advanced analysis system. Surveys were collected and analyzed from high school students and companies using Business Intelligence processes and web analytics tools. The results were presented on decision-making dashboards, some of which were integrated with predictive and association models. In this context, the research provides the Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial of the Universidad Técnica de Ambato with a support base to make more informed and strategic decisions.
