Item Gestión por procesos en el laboratorio de prototipado de la Corporación de Desarrollo de Ambato y Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2025-02) Supe Criollo Christian Patricio; Ortiz Guerrero Daysi MargaritaThis research proposes a process management in order to standardize the activities developed within the innovation laboratory Makerspace Inspira Lab, this will allow operations to be executed in a more effective and efficient way by controlling the processes through the relevant documentation. In order to know the current situation of the laboratory, we began with the collection of information through interviews, surveys and direct observation of the workflow, showing that the tasks are performed in a traditional way, with undefined processes and disorder in the execution of activities due to the lack of documentation for monitoring the processes. Based on the current situation, we proceeded to carry out a process survey where each of the activities to be carried out during each operation was specified, through the use of data sheets and the design of flow charts, then each of the identified processes was classified, which were represented in a structured manner within the process map to visualize how they are interrelated. Additionally, the processes were characterized, including the SIPOC diagram, the PHVA cycle and the management indicators. Finally, the processes and procedures manual was developed, which contains detailed and orderly information for the uniform execution of tasks, work instructions and documents for the control of indicators.Item Diseño e implementación de algortimo para control de trayectoria con compensación gravitatoria para el robot Kuka Youbot(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2024-08) Rosero Sánchez, Christian Andrés; García Sánchez, Marcelo VladimirThis work addresses the challenge of precise trajectory tracking control in the KUKA youBot robotic manipulator, focusing on an alternative computed torque control method. The approach aims to overcome the inherent non-linearities of these systems, considering both structured (model errors) and unstructured (friction) uncertainties. The alternative method implements a cascade PI controller, combining position and velocity controllers for improved disturbance rejection. A crucial aspect is the accurate identification of dynamic model parameters, as those provided by manufacturers are often inaccurate. The work includes a detailed analysis of the semantics used in rigid body algorithms, contributing to a more precise construction of geometric relationships. Additionally, friction compensation is incorporated to enhance controller performance. The implementation of the alternative method is complemented by a safety control layer that constantly monitors the state of the joints, protecting the system's valuable hardware. The experiments conducted include validation of the dynamic model through gravity compensation tasks and controller tests with analytical trajectories. Friction modeling and compensation experiments were carried out, and the control scheme was evaluated on the joints farthest from the base. The results demonstrate that, despite inaccuracies in the dynamic model parameters, the controller achieves precise trajectory tracking with acceptable errors in the manipulator's joints. This work significantly contributes to the field of robotic control, offering valuable insights into the practical implementation of advanced controllers in complex robotic systems, particularly in handling uncertainties and optimizing performance in trajectory tracking tasks.Item Gestión de inventario para mejora de la productividad en la empresa Tecnimaq(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2024-08) Carrillo Villacís, Johanna Mariela; Reyes Vásquez, John PaulInventory management is a fundamental pillar for operational efficiency and, above all, for the profitability of organizations. This study proposes an inventory management model for the company TECNIMAQ, with the purpose of reducing inventory costs and providing the company with a tool to avoid overstocks or shortages of its products so that it can respond efficiently to customer demands. The methodology employed includes a quantitative analysis focused on the application of the EOQ model in conjunction with safety inventories, order points and time between orders based on historical data and demand forecasts. The results show that the company currently manages its inventory empirically or improvised, without considering any control parameter, which has resulted in high inventory costs and sometimes in product obsolescence. The application of the EOQ model based on the demand forecast shows that the inventory turnover increases from 1,846 to 2,314 and the total inventory costs are reduced from $287624.65 to $238075.95, which represents a savings of 17.20%, this shows a significant improvement in the operational efficiency of our company without affecting the availability of items. In conclusion, through proper inventory management the organization will be able to generate savings and adapt to future fluctuating market changes.Item Sistema de gestión de calidad basado en la norma ISO 9001:2015 para la empresa Tenería Núñez(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2024-08) Lagua Moreta, Hugo Ricardo; Ortiz Guerrero, Daysi MargaritaGlobally, process standardization and compliance with quality standards are fundamental elements to ensure excellent levels of competitiveness in today's market. However, the poor or null knowledge regarding ISO 9001:2015 and its application has generated significant losses and very big challenges in terms of managing agile and controlled processes. This research addresses the design and development of a Quality Management System based on ISO 9001:2015 for the company Tenería Núñez, in order to improve the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the organization. Under this context, the research begins with the mapping of all the company's processes, identifying its strategic, operational and support processes, in order to contemplate a global vision of the organization's operations. Subsequently, an evaluation was developed to measure the company's level of compliance with the requirements of this standard, using a checklist based on the initial conditions of Tenería Núñez. The results obtained reveal that the organization's processes are developed under empirical approaches, without formalized or structured systems and without a clear vision to comply with quality standards. After the analysis developed, it was identified that the level of non-compliance of the organization amounts to 61.73%, which could cause negative impacts on its credibility and reputation before all its stakeholders. In this sense, it provided the necessary documentation and requirements for the company's Quality Management System. The proposed documentation contains matrices, formats, records and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 contemplated in a quality manual for the organization, a document that will serve as a guide for the application, implementation, monitoring and improvement of the QMS.Item Desarrollo del sistema de gestión de mantenimiento para maquinarias Caterpillar en la inmobiliaria freire oriental Cia. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2024-02) Mena Chungata, José David; Salazar Logroño, Franklin WilfridoThe aim of this research project is to design, build and automate a milling cutter sorting machine. Starting with a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the alternatives to determine the sorting system, the selected model is based on the principle of a sorting table divided into three sections. Next, the elements, electronics and electrical devices required for the construction are selected. The individual parts of the machine were designed in AutoCAD software and the choice of the implemented components was made by comparing the elements by predefined aspects. Finally, the machine is built by assembling the components and elements. The communication of the machine components is established through the Modbus TCP/IP protocol, which operates as a client-server by sending a request frame, which indicates to the slave which operation to perform based on a Holding Register data register. In addition, Keepserver is used as a communication channel between TIA PORTAL V15, Arduino and Wonderware Intouch software. The automatic control system allows to supervise and monitor the amount of burr containers that the machine sorts. It also allows manipulation of the machine's actuators in two modes of operation: manual and automatic. Tests run on the strawberry sorting and packing machine demonstrate a production capacity of 55.61 kg per hour, averaging between 63 and 64 bins of small, medium and large strawberries.Item Modelo de sistema de control interno para la producción en la empresa de calzado Canaan(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2024-02) Carrera Suarez, Diego Alejandro; Carranza Garcés, Ángel MauricioThis research project is aimed at providing a proposal for an internal control system model that is capable of producing an efficient administrative, economic and financial management strategy. The company CANAAN is dedicated to the manufacture of sneakers, characterized by being comfortable, versatile and suitable for daily use. Weekly, almost a thousand pairs of models are produced, which are created according to current trends, always on order from the warehouses that are throughout the country. Currently, the company does not have a previous study or documents on internal control issues. Therefore, a diagnosis of the company’s situation is started. For this, information is collected through a survey with contrasting and oriented questions to the control systems, inspections and checklists are carried out to guarantee the veracity of the answers and evaluate the available tools. Finally, an interview is conducted with the manager, who has a deep knowledge of all production processes. After analyzing the information collected, an SCI model adapted to the company’s needs is created, the roles and responsibilities of each area are defined, controls are established for process management, inventory, quality, safety, documentation and costs. Internal control not only seeks efficiency, but also protects the assets of the organization. This includes not only financial resources, but also data, intellectual property and the physical security of employees. A focus is given to Safety Control based on the Colombian Technical Guide GTC-45, with which the risks of each specific area are identified, signage and health and safety recommendations that help reduce physical, chemical, mechanical, ergonomic and psychological effects on workersItem Redistribución de planta en la empresa textil Edy Sánchez Sport(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. The objective was to analyze a proposal for a plant redistribution at the textile company EDY SÁNCHEZ SPORT based on data collection from the production process, starting from the current situation of the plant, resulting in: the company has three major processes distributed throughout the plant with a total of 30 activities, taking a time of 1961.56 s. and a distance of 113.77 m. to produce the highest demand product (Physical Education Hood of La Inmaculada). By using the SLP methodology, the appropriate sequence of activities was determined, and by employing the Guerchet method, it was determined that the company requires 195.36 m^2 for the placement of all objects in the plant. Through the proposal of two alternatives, it is suggested that sequence B allows for greater optimization with a total displacement of 73.40 m. and a working time of 1818.74 s., resulting in the production of 49 extra garments per month of work. Finally, through the analysis of load - distance, it was obtained that the company can reduce its monthly route from 7053.74 m. to a total of 4937.90 m.Item Simulación de conatos de incendio en almacenes de calzado de poliuretano utilizando ignífugos inorgánicos(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de automatización, 2024-02) Córdova Morales, Kevin Antonio; Morales Perrazo, Luis AlbertoCurrently, a significant increase has been observed in the number of fires that especially affect commercial footwear stores, without effective preventive measures being adopted to reduce possible losses. A simulation of a polyurethane footwear warehouse was carried out using the Consolidated Model of Fire and Smoke Transport (CFAST) software and the SmokView smoke viewer. To have a point of comparison, the fire scenario was first modeled without implementing any prevention or control measures. Then, a second fire scenario was simulated by designing a water sprinkler system in the enclosure room with the highest thermal load following the UNE 12845 standard and the NFPA 13 standard. Afterwards, to check the effectiveness of the smoke removal and the temperature of the fire in the premises, an inorganic fire retardant based on Mg(OH)2 was used in the feed water of the Sprinklers system, modifying the Heat Growth Curve (CCC) by 18%. Do the results indicate a smoke saturation time of 1510sec and an enclosure temperature of 34°C at 34 seconds without a fire protection system. In the simulation of a water-based firefighting system, the following were determined: a) the smoke saturation time in all rooms at 67 seconds, b) the time necessary to cool the room was 1500 seconds. to reach 34°C. Finally, the fire simulation using the fire retardant reduced the cooling time of the room by 22.56% until it reached a cold temperature of 35 °C. The simulation was carried out for the city of Ambato, at an altitude of 2560 m, with a temperature of 16 °C, a pressure of 97172.02 Pa, a relative humidity of 65% and a limit amount of oxygen of 15%.Item Gestión por procesos en la empresa Balanvalle Cia. Ltda.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2023-11) Padilla Pilataxi, Diego Fabián; Ortiz Sailema, Christian IsmaelIt is known that lack of studies on the standardization of processes generates waste in the production process, ending in waits and delays in the planned delivery times of an order batch from a plant. A study carried out at BALANVALLE CÍA. LTDA. and the objective were to analyze the waste generated in the production plant, through the field methodology steps of identifying, evaluating, and establishing control over the activities that do not add value to a product were carried out. It began with the sales analysis that established complete bovine feed as most in-demand product with average annual sales of $193,218, equivalent to 63.35% of the total. Through the process survey, a total of 83 activities were identified, where the existence of 16 waste generated in the areas of the production plant was determined. The 5s methodology determined that the company must be regulated internally by eliminating unnecessary objects that do not add value to the product under the principle of a place for everything and everything in its place and generating a culture of cleanliness on the line. of production. Through the proposal of the procedure’s manual in which each plant process was placed and 10 unnecessary activities were eliminated, an improvement equivalent to 12.05% was obtained.
