(2) Methods: Research with a quantitative approach, descriptive scope and crosssectional observational design. (3) Results: Through the application of a survey for nursing students of basic training in which 4 parameters were analyzed in a survey of 16 questions, the same in which questions about the application of virtual scenarios to improve their clinical training were addressed. (4) Conclusion: Virtual reality effectively improves knowledge in nursing education because it is more effective than other methods of education in the areas of skills, satisfaction, confidence and performance time.Item LIDERAZGO DE ENFERMERÍA EN EL ÁREA HOSPITALARIA: UN ENFOQUE DE CAMBIO(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-03) Quispe Jiménez, Gloria Estefanía; Chipantiza Córdova, Tannia ElizabethLeadership is one of the key elements to achieve equitable, humane and efficient nursing care models. Under this context, this research was developed with the objective of determining the type of leadership exercised by nursing staff in the hospital area of the Nuestra Señora de la Merced Municipal Hospital, this with the purpose of diagnosing leadership actions that could contribute or in turn harm performance and job satisfaction in the institution, for this purpose a quantitative, correlational, observational and transversal design methodology was used, which included to a total of 19 nursing professionals with different academic achievements and a minimum professional experience of 3 years. The Blake and Mouton Leadership Styles Test was used as a data collection tool, which was applied virtually. According to the research findings, most of the staff perceive that there is a team leader and to a lesser extent authoritarianism is appreciated, a situation that is highly significant because it shows that the nursing leader maintains a balance between the development of specific tasks at the healthcare level and interpersonal relationships with other professionals in the institution.Item EXPERIENCIAS ACADÉMICAS DE LAS ESTUDIANTES DE ENFERMERÍA CON HIJOS MENORES DE 1 AÑO(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-03) Chiliquinga Yugcha, Lisseth Leonela; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy CristinaIntroduction: Pregnancy is a problem within higher academic studies since there are situations affected by being a mother and student, being a complex and arduous routine, which sometimes causes student dropout. Objective: To analyze the academic experiences of nursing students with children under 1 year of age. Method: Qualitative, exploratory, phenomenological. 7 interviews were carried out with students with children under 1 year old, taking into account ethical aspects. The methodology of D. Demaziere and C. Duvar was applied, generating an outline of the interviews. Results: The life routine of being a mother and student is a different aspect from the rest of the daily life of a university student, where it influences the family, academic and work relationship, presenting difficulties for progress in completing a professional degree. Also, the routine of a university mother is related to fatigue in fulfilling her responsibilities, in addition to the fact that life does not tend to be of greater achievement on occasions such as abandonment of the partner being a life problem. Discussion: Family support is important in the family, work and academic spheres, as well as support from the couple, which is essential. Conclusions: Being a university mother affects family and academic relationships and includes a work life, therefore, the majority of students are supported, but at the same time they had less time for their recreational and academic activities, where the responsibility was majority and disciplinary.Item CONOCIMIENTO DEL USO CORRECTO DEL ANTICONCEPTIVO ORAL DE EMERGENCIA EN ESTUDIANTES DE ENFERMERÍA(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-03) Barreto Freire, María Belén; Chipantiza Córdova, Tannia ElizabethIntroduction: The oral emergency pill contains progestin, which acts by preventing fertilization if administered in the first 72 hours after intercourse. Since nursing is a health career, professionals need to know the curricula of studies at the national level, which would help those in charge of curricular planning to place the subjects at approved levels that favor the mobilization of the student. Objective: Compare the curricula of nursing careers in Ecuador in search of common and divergent characteristics. Materials and methods: The research is documentary, descriptive and transversal. The curricula of four universities were studied: two public and two private. The selection was convenience sampling. The inclusion criteria: study plan available on the universities' website and the exclusion criteria: universities that did not have the data required for the research on the website. Results: The study modality is face-to-face, the degree takes place in 9 semesters; however, it varies in the number of credits. They grant a bachelor's degree in nursing, degree requirements vary. The first three semesters focus on core component subjects. The subjects are within the axes: humanistic, basic and professional. Conclusions: The distribution of the subjects is not at the same level and the credits vary from one university to another, which could make the mobilization of students difficult.Item PERTINENCIA DE LA ASIGNATURA DE ENFERMERÍA BÁSICA EN LOS PROGRAMAS DE ESTUDIO DE LA CARRERA DE ENFERMERÍA(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-28) Ocaña Fernández, Marjorie Jacqueline; Mejias-De-Duarte, MarianelaIntroduction: One of the main challenges that nursing students face when starting clinical practices is to satisfy the basic needs of the hospitalized patient, so it is necessary that from the beginning the student receives relevant academic training that allows them to acquire basic knowledge and skills to correctly perform procedures. Objective: Determine the relevance of the basic nursing subject in the Nursing Career study programs. Method: This research was a descriptive, exploratorycross-sectional literature review type study. Results: The basic nursing subject is part of the basic component of the degree, generally it is taught in two semesters, which are located between the first and third semester. The credit units range between 3 and 5. The contents are grouped according to needs. Learning and evaluation strategies are based on knowing, doing and knowing how to do. Conclusions: The Basic Nursing subject is relevant for the training of nursing students. This provides the fundamental foundation for future nurses to acquire the knowledge and develop skills to provide quality care to patients.Item IMPACTO DEL ESTRÉS LABORAL EN LOS PROFESIONALES DE ENFERMERÍA QUE OTORGAN CUIDADOS HOSPITALARIOS(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-28) Navas Fonseca, Lizeth Estefanía; Jiménez Hurtado, William AndrésIntroduction: One of the factors such as excessive work hours in nursing professionals is a risk to professional health with a probable impact on the quality and productivity of the service provided.
