In Ecuador, the figures are alarming, and the phenomenon is related to social attitudes that reinforce gender inequality, such as the belief that women should be subordinate to men. These attitudes, which affect cognitive, affective and behavioral dimensions, perpetuate violent behavior towards women. Objective: To analyze the attitudes towards violence against women that male students may present in the university environment. Methodology: This research had a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross- sectional cohort, with descriptive scope. The target population consisted of approximately 124 students enrolled in the Nursing program at the Technical University of Ambato, during the academic period from September 2024 to August 2025. Results: The results obtained indicate that most of the students surveyed presented scores that suggest a low predisposition towards aggressive attitudes against the female gender. These findings suggest an environment in which attitudes towards the female gender are not associated with violent behaviors, which could be a positive indication in terms of attitudes of respect and gender equity. Conclusions: Although the results reflect an overall positive trend, the persistence of indifferent or worrying attitudes in some students highlights the need to continue working on gender violence awareness and education.Item Actitudes y afrontamiento ante la muerte de los estudiantes de enfermería(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2023-09-28) Masaquiza Chango, Jessenia Maribel; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy CristinaIntroduction: In health care institutions, the health care team and nursing students, during their hospital internships, witness death, considered as a process that exists in life, therefore, the attitude and coping with this situation is important.Objetive:To determine the attitudes and coping with the death of nursing students.
