    Mantenimiento correctivo y preventivo para la cámara de acondicionamiento del Laboratorio de Investigación de Mecánica Lim-Uta de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato

    The present study focuses on the utmost importance of maintaining the conditioning chamber in optimal conditions, as it is fundamentally used to properly condition the samples used in the flammability test, ensuring with certainty and precision that they possess exactly the same properties distributed homogeneously throughout the extent of their surface. If, unfortunately, the chamber presents any unexpected breakdown or unforeseen defect, the process to carry out the test will be severely affected, causing untimely and costly equipment shutdowns and significant financial losses for the laboratory. Corrective maintenance consisted of analyzing the damaged parts or systems and providing them with the necessary repair. On the other hand, preventive maintenance will involve collecting information about the equipment and developing a plan to avoid possible failures and address them. These maintenance plans are essential to keep the machine in operation and extend its useful life since they allow for the development of technical specifications, dossiers, and having spare parts for components and maintenance procedures. As a result, it was possible to develop the dossier that detailed the generalities, operation, and maintenance of the conditioning chamber; examine the failure modes of the chamber components through a Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) matrix and a criticality matrix; furthermore, thanks to this last one, the criticality levels of the equipment components were determined; perform corrective maintenance by identifying and replacing the damaged elements; and create a preventive maintenance plan that includes daily, monthly, and yearly technical activities to prevent possible failures and breakdowns.

    Implementación de la metodología de Weibull para el diseño de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo en las máquinas industriales de la empresa carrocerías Jácome

    The maintenance plan was established with the main purpose of determining current state of industrial machines of the Company named as "CARROCERÍAS JÁCOME", as well as detailing activities that allow their proper performance. Given that the equipment of the mentioned Company is considerably new (4 years), a statistic analysis could not be established so, the AMFE matrix was used, determining the most critical component with the respective actions to reduce damage. Once data were obtained, the machine statistic was established and operating times, repair times, dead time and stop times were obtained. Using the prevention technical note NTP 331 detailed as Weibull Reliability, the data from the machine statistics is analyzed with the aim of establishing where the equipment is currently located in bathtub curve. The aforementioned reliability was determined by two ways, a constant failure rate and general formula presented in that technical note. NTP 331 shows two models to determine reliability, mathematical model and graphic model. Both models were used because when we combine this two, data correlation is greater than 0.95 points. In this way, the maintenance ranges were suitably established while meeting the Company's specific requirements.

    The present technical project is focused on the design and construction of a die cutter, which consists of a cutting mechanism that is constituted by a punch and die, electro-pneumatic system consisting of a maintenance unit, solenoid valve, pneumatic cylinder and a support structure that is the component that gives stability to the machine; in the course of fulfilling the objectives, the appropriate material for the manufacture of the cutting mechanism was selected, with the help of calculations and data obtained through tests and investigations, it was possible to choose a piston suitable for shaping the electro-pneumatic system. The support structure was built in structural steel ASTM A500 and this was designed to withstand external forces that not only involve the weight of the die cutter; During the tests of operation when using the punching machine it was possible to confirm that the reduction of time is considerable compared to the traditional process carried out by hand.

    The importance of this project lies in the need to have adequate and specific control of the machinery of the company IMPRENTA “MORALES” which provide preventive maintenance and control, allowing to detect potential failures and defects of the machinery in the nascent stages to avoid unnecessary downtime and emergency stops failures, causing negative financial impact on the profits generated by the company. It has been made the uprising necessary information of machinery, which enables the inventory and technical data sheets which provide us with data notable from each of the existing machines for the implementation of its service, In addition was the modal analysis FMEA which enable you to determine which are the most likely elements to withstand damage and faults that will be replaced. On the other hand also analyzed times mean time between failures(TMBF), average repair time (MTTR), the failure rate (λ), operation time (TO), Reliability, Availability (D). To facilitate maintenance, the plan was developed through the support of free software.

    The investigation of the components that make up the body of the bus was made, for this a brief description of the assembly process and the function that they fulfilled within the body was realized, being the latter very important within the valorization in the analysis of criticality, to these components were given a coding that was organized by systems depending on their nature as electric, pneumatic, air conditioning, etc., and by sections such as driver's cab, external front, external side, external rear and passenger lounge, through Which will be identified quickly and efficiently, based on these element encodings, we worked on a matrix of fault mode and effect analysis (AMFE), granting values such as gravity, frequency and detection that quantify the criticality of the elements, Later the criticality analysis of the elements was carried out to identify the components with lower and higher risk, giving the latter the highest priority in the study, then taking into consideration the results of the analysis developed the ranges and maintenance plan for the elements of the interprovincial bus body, and finally a manual of use and maintenance for the user.

    Elaboración de un plan de mantenimiento basado en el mantenimiento productivo total (TPM) para la maquinaria de recuperación de turbinas del CIRT EN LA Empresa CELEC EP –HIDROAGOYÁN

    The purpose of this project is to make a master plan in order to develop TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) philosophy for the Vertical Turning Lathe of the Turbine Research and Recovery Establishment CIRT. This project develops five of the twelve steps established by JIPM (Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance) for the TPM implementation. This project also provides the necessary documentation for: 5S and autonomous maintenance application. Also, some safety health and environment suggestions are provided. PM (preventive maintenance) activities are chosen based on RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) techniques like: CA (Critical Analysis) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). Also, several predictive maintenance activities are established following ISO 3655, 1986. All these activities including automotive maintenance ones are organized and scheduled. Finally OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) rate is applied to a broaching process to the vertical turning lathe in order to identify the principal losses on the machine.
