Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2023-09) Flores Pico, Alex Medardo; Zuñiga Tirado, Jonathan Alexander; López Velástegui, Jorge EnriqueThe project is oriented to the development of a machine for the production and supply of balanced trout feed for the fish farmers of the Pasa parish in the province of Tungurahua, due to the fact that in the area there is a large production of this species and little commercialization of this feed, in addition to having a high price. For the execution of the project, we started with the collection of bibliographic information that allowed us to analyze the principle of operation of the various systems that make up the machine, to later establish the design parameters such as pressure, temperature, viscosity, humidity, and the forces acting on the prototype. In addition, simulations were performed in specialized analysis programs considering the factors established in the design to later select the types of materials and systems established by various standards related to the subject. Finally, the prototype was built, and functional tests were carried out with the raw material. The pellets were manufactured by programming the prototype at a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius in the compression chamber, a screw rotation speed of 100 rpm, a viscosity of the mixture of 596.3 pascal second and in the course of one hour 48 kg of balanced feed were produced. Once the pellet has been produced, buoyancy tests and the acceptance of the product by the trout are carried out.Item Diseño y construcción de un dosificador para envasar jabón líquido en botellas de 250 ml en la asociación de personas de la tercera edad San Antonio de Quisapincha de la provincia de Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2023-08) Amores Bastidas, Henry Gabriel; Analuiza Maiza, Oscar IvánThe Association of Senior Citizens of San Antonio de Quisapincha, in the province of Tungurahua, requires a packaging method for handmade liquid soap. In collaboration with the Linking Unit of the Technical University of Ambato, the idea was to design and build a semiautomatic soap dispenser with a 250-ml presentation to reduce manufacturing costs. The study was based on bibliographic sources and field studies, demonstrating the feasibility of implementing the equipment. Safe materials were used for contact with the soap, especially AISI 304 stainless steel for its durability and resistance to corrosion. An efficient packaging method suitable for the association's production capacity was selected to ensure its economic viability, and a pneumatic system was used to facilitate its use. Calculations, designs, and machining processes were carried out, and plans and computer simulations were generated. Ergonomic and production time studies were also carried out to determine the bottle filling capacity. The proposed semi-automatic dosing machine offers an effective and safe solution for the packaging of handmade liquid soap; the use of a double-acting pneumatic cylinder allows precise dosing of 50 ml per drive. The materials used and the design of the equipment guarantee its long-term durability and efficiency. This project contributes to the welfare of the association and has the potential to be applied in other similar contexts if required.
