Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2021-07) Yumbolema Narváez, Darío Javier; Pérez Salinas, Cristian FabianThe present experimental work was focused on the study of the properties obtained from a thermoplastic component obtained by applying the additive technique of 3D printing SLA. The specimens were obtained by applying a high-power laser beam in order to harden the liquid resin to form the desired three-dimensional elements, that is, Type I and Type II specimens, which are used in Hardness and wear tests respectively. For the elaboration of these samples, two types of components were taken into account, standard resin and Ingenieril Tough resin with the aim of making a simultaneous comparison between them after the stereolithographic process. In determining the weight, a digital analytical balance of thousandths of grams in precision STX 223 OHAUS recommended by the ISO 9352 standard of abrasive wheel wear was used; the data on wear was carried out in the Taber Type Abrasion tester with the abrasive wheels H22. The Hardness test was performed using the Shore D Durometer and the ASTM D2240 standard in the Laboratory of the Technical University of Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2021-03) Criollo Rojas, Jennifer Ashley; Pérez Salinas, Cristian FabianThe development of this research is focused on the material composed of the matrix of latex and recycled rubber granule particles (PGCR) as reinforcement, since this composite has optimal peculiarities for the elaboration of floors. For the development of this study, the variation in the percentage of reinforcement was taken into account in such a way that, it is possible to show which of the volumetric configurations has the best properties of Wear and Hardness. The tests were applied according to the specifications of the wear standard ISO 9352, Hardness ASTM- D2240 and ASTM D 1435 for outdoor exposure. Through the application of experiment design (DOE), a complete overall factorial design was made from which six volumetric configurations were obtained with a reinforcement variation of twenty, thirty and forty percent. The material behaviour was then analysed using the Taber wear test, measuring Shore D hardness using ISO and ASTM standards respectively. At the end of the execution of the tests by means of tables and graphs it is evident that the percentage of wear for the three reinforcement variations is minimal, yet the statistical analysis shows that the exposure time has an influence on the wear rate and that the volumetric configuration that best fits a real flooring application is 80 percent Latex (matrix) and 20 percent PGCR (reinforcement) , at zero days of exposure as it has less wear and greater hardness. Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2018) Bautista Romero, Milton Andrés; Vaca Ortega, Wilson HenryThis experimental work has as main objective: Analyze the hard coatings applied by the SMAW process on carbon steel A36 and its incidence in the abrasive wear evaluated under the ASTM G-6 standard, for which 72 x 60 x 12 mm specimens were manufactured , were coated with three types of Indura brand electrodes, 10 specimens were coated with chromium carbide based electrode (Overlay - 62), 5 with one pass and 5 with two passes, the same procedure was performed with the electrodes based on Martensitic alloys (Antifrix-450) and with the electrodes based on Austenitic alloys high in manganese. The machine in which the abrasive wear tests were carried out established the parameters of the ASTM G-65 standard. The metallography tests helped to verify their microstructure in each type of electrode, hardness and spectrometry tests were also carried out to obtain their percentage in chemical composition, in order to analyze the parameters that provide better resistance to wear. Finally the samples were weighed to obtain the difference of mass loss (g) and calculate the volumetric losses in each one of the cases, with which it was possible to determine that the smaller volumetric loss was obtained with the electro-Overlay-62 with a volumetric loss of 49.909mm3 and 41.697 mm3 with one and two passes respectively the second best result was with the Weldmang-14 electrode with a volumetric loss of 74.58 mm3 and 65.189 mm3with one and two passes respectively, The electrode that did not provide good characteristics for wear resistance was the Antifrix-450 electrode with a loss of 305.548mm3 and 274.876 with one and two passes respectivelyItem Estudio de los parámetros de un sistema mecánico PIN ON DISK bajo Norma ASTM G-99 y su influencia en el desgaste adhesivo del teflón sobre el acero AISI 304(Universidad Técnica de Ambato.
