Item Implementación de los requisitos técnicos establecidos por la norma técnica ecuatoriana NTE INEN-ISO-IEC 17025- 2018 para ensayos de inflamabilidad en materiales textiles de acuerdo con la norma ASTM d6413 para los Laboratorios de la Carrera de Mecánica(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2023-09) Yunda Buñay, Fernando Efraín; Castro Miniguano, Christian ByronThis technical project presents the need for the implementation of the technical requirements established in the Ecuadorian Technical Standard NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 17025-2018 because the Mechanical Research Laboratory for Vertical Flammability Tests on Textile Materials requires the documentation established in this standard to establish itself as a more reliable laboratory. For the preparation of documents, records and instructions, a thorough study of the NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 17025-2018 Standard was carried out, complying with the requirements established therein. In addition, vertical flammability tests were developed for 5 textile materials (Nomex, Antifluids, Denim, Die-cut Polyester and Cotton) in accordance with the parameters established in the ASTM D6413 Standard, where vertical flame resistance was measured by evaluating post-flame and postincandescence times. One of the main objectives of the project is the validation of the measurement method, which was carried out by means of the data obtained from the vertical flammability tests and the use of specialized software, obtaining a result of less than 30 percent, considered acceptable according to the criteria established by the AIAG. At the end of the project, both the documentation and the results of the method validation will be delivered to the Mechanical Research Laboratory LIM - UTA, where they will be used for the benefit of the Technical University of Ambato.Item Diseño y construcción de una cámara de inflamabilidad horizontal con extractor de gases para el laboratorio de inflamabilidad de la Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, para ensayos de reacción al fuego y determinación de los comportamientos de combustión de los materiales interiores de vehículos de carretera, tractores y maquinaria para la agricultura y silvicultura de acuerdo con la norma ISO 3795-2(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2023-03) Aldás Sánchez, Luis Fernando; Coque Núñez, José Raúl; Espín Guerrero, Víctor RodrigoNowadays, companies that manufacture bodywork must comply with a series of requirements and regulations, including the use of materials that safeguard the passenger's life in the event of an automobile accident; for this reason, the combustion rate of the materials used in the internal part of the bodywork must tend to zero or must be self-extinguishing. This project meets the requirements of the ISO 3795-2 standard, it also has several systems that are removable, which allowed easy maintenance and exchange of parts, has a control panel that allowed setting the time the specimen will be exposed to fire at the same time the internal temperature of the flammability chamber is controlled, once the flame touches the first point of measurement the user is able to operate the timer, then when the flame reaches the last point of measurement the operator could stop the timer. The results obtained in 64 samples of navaleado fabric are shown, demonstrating the correct operation of the flammability chamber, since its recovery factor is less than 10 percent.Item Diseño y construcción de una cámara de inflamabilidad para productos de construcción para el Laboratorio de Investigación de Ingeniería Mecánica LIM UTA(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2022-09) Vargas Cordovilla, Ronnie Efrain; Castro Miniguano, Christian ByronNowadays it is important to comply with the quality requirements of construction products since their application involves the safety and life of people, it is essential that these products are fire resistant and in case of an adverse event such as this, it can be guaranteed that the spread of flame in the basic building materials is avoided. For this reason, the possibility of implementing the flammability test of construction products in the Mechanical Research Laboratory of the Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Ambato has been proposed. This technical project is based on the design and manufacture of a flammability cabinet under the requirements of the NTE INEN - ISO 11925-2: 2010 standard that focuses on the testing of construction products, for this the equipment was designed considering the regulatory provisions and the equipment was built in AISI 304 steel using cutting processes and TIG welding with filler material and shielding gas, finally, the equipment was validated by testing three different materials such as: vinyl flooring, MDF and ceiling, with the test results under the criteria of NTE INEN - ISO 11925-2: 2010 it was determined that the equipment meets all the requirements.Item Implementación de los requisitos técnicos que establece la norma NTE-ISO-IEC 17025-2018 para los ensayos de inflamabilidad de juguetes para los laboratorios de la Carrera Ingeniería Mecánica(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2022-09) Pullopaxi Aimacaña, Edwin Fabian; Castro Miniguano, Christian ByronThis degree project was responsible for implementing the records established by the NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 17025-2018 standard in the Mechanical Engineering Research Laboratory of the Technical University of Ambato, for which a series of documents have been developed containing: procedures, instructions, records and regulations that allow forming a management system that will contribute to the optimal functioning of the aforementioned laboratory. In addition, a series of tests were developed in the flammability chamber of toys in conjunction with the NTE INE-ISO 8124-2 "TOYS SAFETY - PART 2: FLAMMABILITY (ISO 8124-2:2007, IDT)", in which we have a classification of 8 classes of toys, which are necessary to prepare them prior to performing the tests, being these as: trimming to a certain size, environmental treatments with a specific temperature and humidity as a method of conditioning and specific cleaning methods. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2021-04) Martínez Acosta, Roger Alexander; Mayorga Mantilla, Daniel Eduardo; Castro Miniguano, Christian ByronIn the preparation of this technical project, the compilation of information on standards, NTE INEN-ISO 8124-2 SAFETY OF TOYS - PART 2: FLAMMABILITY and ASTM A36, AISI 304 were used for the manufacture of the toys flammability chamber and in the manufacture of all its components and 3D printing - PLA was used for the parts with less impact, so that the flammability chamber provides reliability, Automation was carried out with the Arduino system, for its low cost and good functionality for the process to be carried out in each test. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2020) Lasluisa Gómez, Carlos Augusto; Castro Miniguano, Christian ByronThe present work was responsible for implementing the requirements established by the NTE INEN-ISO / IEC 17025-2018 standard in the research laboratory for flammability tests of the Technical University of Ambato, for which procedures, instructions, records and regulations were created which allowed establishing a management system that will help the proper functioning of the aforementioned laboratory. In addition, tests were carried out to verify the correct functioning of the horizontal flammability chamber in accordance with ISO 3795, for this purpose 6 materials were used (flexible polyester Pranna, corosil, velvet polyester textile, Chinese polyester textile, composite material “Fiberglass reinforced epoxy resin”, Colombian polyester textile) used in the construction of the internal parts of the buses, obtaining optimal results. From the results obtained, the compliance of the combustion rate (mm / min) was verified in accordance with the rules and regulations (NTE INEN 2205 “Motor vehicles, urban bus, requirements”, NTE INEN 1668 “Vehicles of intra-regional public passenger transport , interprovincial and intraprovincial requirements ”, RTE INEN 041“ School transport vehicles ”).
