Item Diseño y simulación de una cubierta en estructura metálica para ser usada en estacionamientos vehiculares en base a la normativa NTE INEN 2248(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2025-02) Dueñas Beltrán, Justin Leonardo; Yunapanta Velastegui, José LuisTo obtain normalized information about the cantilevered roof, the main objective of this technical project is to design and simulate a metal roof intended for vehicle parking, in compliance with the Ecuadorian standard NTE INEN 2248, which establishes the minimum dimensions required for vehicle parking spaces. Additionally, the types of loads affecting the roof were determined based on Ecuadorian construction regulations. To achieve this, an analysis of different metal roof alternatives was carried out, selecting the one that offers the most efficient design in terms of stability, strength, and cost. The design was based on preliminary analyses with different structural elements and variations in load analysis. The evaluation included a detailed assessment of the various load conditions acting on the structure, such as dead loads, live loads, seismic loads, and wind loads, according to the specifications of Ecuadorian construction standards. The values corresponding to these loads were determined through precise calculations, ensuring the structure maintains adequate stability and safety. For the structure, A36 steel profiles were selected due to their wide availability in the market and excellent mechanical properties. The modeling and simulation of the design were conducted using specialized structural design software, which made it possible to evaluate the roof's behavior under various load conditions. This analysis ensured that stresses and deformations remain within the ranges allowed by the standards, minimizing the risk of structural failures. This comprehensive approach ensured a safe, efficient design fully aligned with the current technical standards in Ecuador.Item Estudio de recubrimientos anticorrosivos aplicados sobre acero A-36 y su incidencia en la tasa de corrosión utilizando la cámara de niebla salina(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2017-08) Yépez Intriago, Ambar Carolina; Vaca Ortega, Wilson HenryThe study of the coatings in carbon steel A-36, and its incidence in the corrosion rate using the chamber of salt spray, for which three types of organic coatings were chosen, and their anticorrosive behavior was studied. In addition to this, the effect of the initial cleaning rates prior to the application of the coatings was studied. The test was performed according to ASTM B117, which establishes the parameters necessary to perform the accelerated corrosion test in a salt spray chamber, in addition to the necessary laboratory controls that prove the test. The corrosion rate was calculated according to ASTM G1, and the coatings will be purchased to establish which is the best protection. Additionally, the degree of corrosion of the coatings was established by visual inspection according to ASTM D610. Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2014-04) Chasi Cajas, Yesenia Maribel; Correa Jácome, Juan FranciscoLa presente investigación consiste en el estudio de sistemas de elevación para productos cerámicos en la empresa “Novel” de la ciudad de Latacunga, adicionalmente tiene como finalidad disminuir el tiempo de transporte y aumentar el nivel de producción. Se realizaron investigaciones previas de campo para observar y recolectar toma de tiempos que fueron registrados en Cursogramas Analíticos y Diagramas de Recorrido, con estos resultados se efectúa la investigación del mejoramiento de la producción tanto con el transporte manual como el de elevación. Utilizando el método ordinal corregido de criterios ponderados se selecciona el sistema de elevación que mejor cumpla con los requerimientos planteados: costo, factibilidad de manufactura, capacidad de carga, tamaño y mantenimiento, para mejorar el transporte y producción de cerámicos. Finalmente se realizan los cálculos estructurales y diseño de los diferentes componentes en función a la carga que debe elevar y los esfuerzos a los que están sometidos en su funcionamiento habitual.
