    Movilidad académica y estereotipos culturales

    This research examines the relationship between academic mobility and cultural stereotypes. A quantitative approach was used, allowing for precise and objective results. Data were collected through a questionnaire administered to 153 students from the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences at the Technical University of Ambato. The study is characterized by a solid theoretical framework, supported by thorough bibliographic and field research. This enabled the review of various sources from authors specialized in the topic, delving into the problem and adequately contextualizing the phenomenon under study. The results show that, during academic mobility, local students often exhibit cultural stereotypes toward students from other regions. In some cases, this dynamic can be detrimental to those participating in academic mobility, affecting their experience and integration into the educational environment and creating a sense of exclusion in the academic setting. Academic mobility faces several obstacles that limit students, such as housing, economic, religious, cultural, and social factors. The research topic aligns with the line of investigation on social exclusion and inclusion of students from the perspective of Social Work.

    Resiliencia y empoderamiento en estudiantes de familias monoparentales

    Single-parent families are characterized by the presence of a single parent who assumes responsibility for the upbringing of their children, in recent times single-parenthood has increased significantly worldwide, experiencing social, economic and above all emotional difficulties and challenges at the family level. The main objective of the research is to analyze the relationship between resilience and empowerment in students from single-parent families of the "Gabriela Mistral" Educational Unit of the city of Latacunga - Ecuador, using a quantitative approach methodology with a descriptive-correlational level, the study population consisted of 31 unified general high school students, with an age range between 15 and 17 years. and their respective mothers. For the study of the resilience variable, the RESI-M questionnaire by Palomar & Gómez (2010) was used, which is composed of 5 dimensions of 43 questions, and, for the empowerment variable, the IMEM questionnaire by Hernández & García (2008) was used, which contains 7 dimensions of 34 questions. The results indicated that there is no significant relationship between resilience and empowerment in students, in addition it was found that the level of resilience in students is medium, which indicates that although they know how to act in adverse situations, they still face limitations to develop their resilient capacity, in the same way, the empowerment of mothers has a medium level, since, although they are in control of their lives, there are barriers that prevent them from fully developing their autonomy

    Phubbing y habilidades sociales en estudiantes de primero y segundo de bachillerato

    In the digital age, phubbing has emerged as a growing concern, describing the trend of prioritizing the phone over social interactions. This behavior, although it may seem harmless, significantly impacts personal relationships and emotional well-being, especially in educational settings such as high school. Social skills, essential for personal and academic development, are affected by the excessive use of technological devices such as mobile phones, which can hinder the ability to interact effectively with others. This study focused on investigating the relationship between first- and second-year high school students. The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship of Phubbing and social skills in firstand second-year high school students of the La Merced-Ambato Educational Unit. The study was carried out with a quantitative approach, using a descriptive and correlational design. We worked with a sample of 60 first and second high school students. For the analysis of variables, Cumpa's Phubbing Scale (2017) and Goldstein's Social Skills Evaluation Scale (1980) were applied through a survey in Google Forms. The results revealed high levels of Phubbing in dimensions such as anxiety-insomnia (58.3%), dependency (60.0%) and interpersonal relationships (53.3%). In contrast, a normal level of social skills was found in the sample studied. A strong negative correlation (-0.678) was identified between phubbing and social skills, indicating that excessive mobile phone use is associated with a significant reduction in students' ability to interact effectively unsocial situations, manage emotions, plan appropriately. and resolve conflicts without resorting to aggression. This study highlights the importance of addressing Phubbing as a problem that can affect the social and emotional development of first and second high school students, underlining the need to promote a balanced and conscious use of technology to promote healthy social skills in this population through strategic programs to address the latent problem

    TikTok como herramienta educomunicacional de la Unidad Educativa Joaquín Lalama

    In the present research TikTok as an educommunicational tool of the Joaquín Lalama Educational Unit, the weaknesses and strengths of this platform as a means of learning for the students of the Eighth Year of Basic Education of the Joaquín Lalama Educational Unit were investigated.Exploratory and descriptive methods were used to obtain information on the use of TikTok and through the bibliographic methodology, to know how this platform can be integrated into the educational system.This research seeks to determine if students learn better about different specialties of science with the TikTok platform and if it allows them to improve their knowledge and if it turns out to be an adequate study tool for students and teachers. The study population with which we worked consisted of 70 students and 9 teachers of the eighth year of EGB. The relevant results found were: students learn better about General Culture, Language and Literature, Art and Creativity, if digital platforms are used that allow them to interact and participate, which is why teachers must adapt and integrate this type of tools. and improve their knowledge about the management of social networks, to improve the teaching process and not be just a distraction.

    Micromachismo y violencia en estudiantes de tercero de Bachillerato a y b

    The Salcedo Educational Unit has a great trajectory in the training of high school graduates. The purpose of this research is to know the importance of micromachismo and violence in students, its main objective is to determine the influence of micromachismo on violence in students of the Third Year of Baccalaureate A and B of the Educational Unit "Salcedo", period 2022 -2023. Taking into account that, within the educational establishment, there is the use of phrases, gestures that harm men and women, which apparently are subtle, soft or of low intensity or that do not harm, are supposedly daily mental acts and processes within the society, so the research focuses on that, on demonstrating with the conceptual contents in the theoretical framework, how both variables give a range of knowledge to solve the problem. On the other hand, the methodology which has a quantitative approach, given that information was collected from 80 students, this being the population, to later tabulate the data. Working with an exploratory-descriptive level of work, we worked with the bibliographic and documentary modality. The following results were reached that there is a high level of ignorance about what micromachismo is, the new forms of violence, and above all how machismo has been reduced to micromachismo, in all areas, such as economic, social, labor , familiar. And above all, how music can generate micromachismo and violence.

    Estatus sociométrico y rendimiento académico en los estudiantes

    The sociometric status is often considered as a reflection of the social competence of a child and adolescent, understood as their ability to maintain interactions, relationships with groups and peers, within them are derived the students in this research as those of popular status, which are controversial, ignored and rejected, constituting an exclusion for their low social acceptance for their performance and social inclusion for their acceptance within the classroom group, this through the positive and negative nominations that are made among their peers, according to the academic performance of these students. The focal group is constituted by 35 students of the first year of high school BGU "F", which is confirmed by 11 women and 24 men in an age range of 14 to 16 years old. Within this methodology, the methodology was carried out with a qualitative approach only, the technique applied was an unstructured interview which consists of 6 questions, three of positive nominations and three of negative nominations, these questions are of an educational, personal and social nature, while for the academic performance we have taken into account the qualitative grading scale, the same that we obtained from the educational institution. Among the important results, it is concluded that the sociometric status influences academic performance in such a way that it has an impact on the qualitative scale of students' learning, students who maintain a low school performance are socially excluded by their peers, without becoming interested in the reason and the reason for this problem, i.e. those who within the interview applied have received a greater number of negative or derogatory nominations for what is ignored or rejected, which has affected the integral development of adolescents and their future.

    Participación estudiantil y la responsabilidad social universitaria

    One purpose of the University social responsibility is to prepare competent professionals with a humanist vision who help to the sustainable development of the society. That is why it improves the etic and values such as solidarity, equity and responsibility through the participation of students in different curricular and extracurricular activities for the creation of a critical, self critical and proactive attitude. Which helps to the professional development through the application of knowledge in the resolution on the societies’ problems. The present research has a correlational and descriptive approach, it is aimed to the determine students’ influence and levels of participation in the university social responsibility. For the research a quantitative approach was used, the instrument used for this was a virtual survey to 298 students in the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Social Science at Universidad Técnica de Ambato. It was determined that the 45.8% if students show a moderately active participation and in relation with the university social responsibility the data was 55.72%. Thus, it is determined that students have acquired enough knowledge to consider themselves socially responsible or with a unity way with the social participation have generated a sense of belonging. Which will help them to become future professionals that will contribute to the development and transformation of the society.

    La mediación escolar en los centros de adolescentes infractores como medida de prevención para la no reincidencia

    The present work of degree with the topic "SCHOOL MEDIATION IN THE CENTERS OF ADOLESCENT OFFENDERS AS A PREVENTION MEASURE FOR NON-REINCIDENCE", is an investigation that is part of a research project of the Technical University of Ambato of the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Social Sciences approved by Resolution No. UTA-CONIN-2020-0319-R with the topic "Implementation of school mediation in middle-level educational institutions of the canton Ambato", and whose purpose is to show what the impact of the incorporation of School Mediation within the Centers for Teen Offenders, to teach minors from their technical classrooms that help them get away from conflict circles. Taking into account that the Adolescent Offenders by taking advantage of a socio-educational measure, their right to freedom is restricted, but under no circumstances their right to Education, so it is a priority of the Ecuadorian State through the Ministry of Education and the Centers of Teen Offenders are responsible for ensuring that this right is not undermined under any circumstances. School mediation aims to be an ally for educational institutions teaching young people to resolve their conflicts through dialogue, avoiding negative emotions and even violence, with the purpose of avoiding the recurrence of conflicts that harm their studies and their daily life. Mediation is already applied in Ecuador in different judicial aspects and especially in the context of the global pandemic that we face due to COVID-19 has represented to be a great ally of justice, so this research aims to show that it can also be an ally of the academy, thus establishing a culture of peace in young people

    El impacto de la mediación escolar en las instituciones educativas como medida de fomento de paz y dialogo en las sociedades futuras

    This degree work with the theme: "THE IMPACT OF SCHOOL MEDIATION IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AS A MEASURE TO PROMOTE PEACE AND DIALOGUE IN FUTURE SOCIETIES", is framed in the field of Mediation and its focus on school education, as a measure to seek a culture of peace in future societies from an early age. It is a comprehensive research project where law, school mediation and psychology are combined, in order to demonstrate the importance and significance of the incorporation of School Mediation within educational institutions in the country. Teaching children from an early age can break stereotypes, old thinking, modernize cultures, and encourage the use of alternative conflict resolution techniques for future societies. Children and adolescents are the future of tomorrow and that is where we must start working, only in this way will we achieve positive changes in the future, breaking past mentalities. The research project is aimed at preventing conflict in educational units in the province of Tungurahua, both public and private. In addition, an analysis of emotional intelligence is presented, an analysis of how human beings react to different situations where our brain sends an alert to the body in order to react or have a negative or positive result in the face of a conflict. The culture of peace is one of the purposes that the government has raised through the Constitution of Ecuador of 2008 in its article 3 within the primary duties of the State specifically in its numeral “8. Guarantee its inhabitants the right to a culture of peace (…) ”, which is why the culture of peace is constituted as a right in Ecuador. (Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, 2008). Children and adolescents are able to learn alternative conflict resolution techniques from an early age, as is done in other countries such as Latin America and Europe.

    The socio-family foundations influence one hundred percent directly in the behavior and personality of each individual, which is manifested in their opinions, attitudes, habits, and ways of thinking in their daily lives; in such a way that it is notorious to emphasize that there may even be influence in all areas where the human being develops individually and collectively. The Educational Centers become the second home of each person since most of the time after spending time at home they dedicate it to studies, showing that their context can also influence the person and their behavior. The academic performance of a student depends on both contexts, since it can influence according to genetics, that is, inherited or acquired behaviors and to the experience acquired or influence received by classmates. Behavioral and emotional problems arise when dysfunctions begin to appear, be they personal, family, or educational, and it is precisely at that moment that the disorder of emotions begins to appear and generate academic difficulty, promoting the loss of studies, deserting them or even to be expelled. The fundamental idea of this research is to know what causes the behavioral and emotional problems in students, which can hinder and affect the academic performance of them. Therefore, necessary information is required, through books, thesis, observation, survey, and other means that clarify the problem of research.
