Item La programación televisiva de Unimax Televisión y la prevención de violencia de género(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Comunicaciòn, 2024-02) García Solis, Doménica Monserrath; Viteri Torres, Walter FranciscoThe main purpose of this research is to examine the programming of UNIMAX television as an agent of mass communication and potential facilitator of civic literacy, focusing on how it addresses issues related to gender perspective, gender-based violence and the position linked to communication. In addition, it seeks to evaluate the audiovisual production, whether it effectively contributes to gender equality, recognising gender as an integral part of human development and its inclusion in fundamental human rights. It is based on the proposition that television tends to repeatedly reproduce sexist stereotypes and gender violence, derived from the social construction of gender, which undermines respect for gender diversity. In terms of methodology, a qualitative approach is adopted through a documentary bibliographic research modality, complemented by data collection through surveys. The content analysis reveals that UNIMAX television programming lacks programmes that address issues of gender-based violence.Item La comunicación institucional y la perspectiva de género en los GAD cantonales de la provincia de Tungurahua(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Comunicaciòn, 2024-02) Paredes Sánchez, Christian Andrés; Tamayo Rodríguez, Alicia PaulinaIn order to include the gender perspective in the cantonal governments of the country, actions have been incorporated in order to strengthen inclusion and gender equality in public administration. It focuses on challenging and dismantling stereotypes that may influence judicial decisions, aiming to create a justice administration that is impartial, equitable, and respectful of all gender identities. Preliminary findings suggest a lack of adequate knowledge and understanding by the judicial system when it comes to gender crimes. This knowledge gap not only undermines justice but can also have devastating consequences for the victims of these crimes. Since the classification of femicide as a specific crime in Ecuador in 2014, more than 1,200 cases have been registered. However, until September of the current year, just over 400 conviction sentences have been issued. This number, however, does not account for the severity of the crimes, as many of these sentences seem not proportional to the severity of the damage caused by the perpetrators. Moreover, it has been observed that sentences rarely include adequate reparations measures for the victims. To better understand these issues, judges and experts in criminal law were interviewed, who provided valuable insights and knowledge for the research. The findings suggest a widespread negligence in the administration of justice in cases of gender crimes, which further exacerbates the trauma and injustice experienced by the victims.Item La semiótica del videojuego en la percepción de género en los adolescentes(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Comunicación Social, 2021-02) Cisneros Vera, Andrés Alejandro; Proaño Zurita, Jenny De Los ÁngelesTo begin with the compendium of the video game is currently intuitive; that is to say that for the players in question of playability it does not need an instructive guideline. In addition to this, the visual perception of male and female complexions refers to aspects beyond their clothing, but also to the fact that they reproduce behaviors rooted in a gender conception. In this way, the video game projects a spectacularization in relation to the perception of the world. However, the virtual representation of the game that it constitutes in the gamer, has semiotic implications in the foundation of the gender role according to the preferences and attitudes of the same. Due to this, this study reflects the perceptions, behaviors, gender backgrounds of the main and adjacent characters of the video game "Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar North, 2013". In this way, the experimental achievement in players / ras is a reference for analysis to establish dynamics in the constructions of symbolic arguments as a means of information about the conception of the video game. Substantially, ludological structures of characters are analyzed from cinematographic sequences and the video game interface is categorized between the user. Along with this, discover the repercussions that they entail in the conception of gender. In this way, conclusions were generated regarding the use of the video game and mainly, the independent assessment in aspects of gender projection in players / ras; through methodologies and theories that address later studies
