Item INSTRUMENTOS DE EVALUACIÓN DESPUÉS DE LA RECONSTRUCCIÓN DE LIGAMENTO CRUZADO ANTERIOR(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Fisioterapia, 2024-08-28) Rojas Ibarra, César Enrique; Espín Pastor, Victoria EstefaníaClinical trials focused on anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) use multip l e assessment methods to determine the effectiveness of interventions ; however, the tests used depend on the authors' criteria. The purpose of this study was to determine the assessment instruments used in ACLR with autograft or allograft. A search was conducted in the Cochrane, Scielo, Pubmed, Epistemonikos, and PEDro databases up to May 10, 2024. Inclusion criteria focused on systematic reviews or meta-analys es from the past five years that specified the type of graft, included follow-up details, and were in English or Spanish. Exclusion criteria included studies without population numbers, sex descriptions , or available access. Post-surgical follow-up times for strength evaluat i o n exceed 24 months. The assessment instruments used included the Limb Symmetry Index (LSI), isokinetic and isometric strength tests; clinical tests such as Lachman, Pivot Shift Test; functional evaluations such as the Single Leg Hop Test; question naires associat e d with surgery and function like the IKDC, Lysholm, Tegner, Shellbourne Trumper; and finally, subjective evaluations such as anterior knee pain, pain while kneeling, and Active Joint Position Sense Assessment. Numerous assessment instrument s exist following ACL reconstruction, but it is essential to identify the most effective ones in clinical contexts. Mg., Andrea CarolinaThis research work was carried out with the objective of determining which variant of the CKCUEST test is related to the results of the YBT-UQ test, so that it can be applied to the ecuadorian athlete. The evaluations were carried out on a total of 67 athletes between the ages of 15 and 46, 45 male and 22 female. The CKCUEST tests with three different measures were used; original measure of 91.4 (CKCUEST1), measure of the acromion (CKCUEST2) and measure of half the height (CKCUEST3) and YBT-UQ with its medial, superolateral and inferolateral ranges, for each side; dominant (YBTUQ_D) and non-dominant (YBT-UQ_ND), in order to assess the stability of the upper limb. The evaluations were carried out on three different days 3 to 7 days apart, each one after training with the athlete fatigued. This research has a quantitative approach, because the CKCUEST and the YBT-UQ will be applied, obtaining numerical values that will be related by Pearson's parametric statistical test. It is of an observational type without intervention, because a comparison will be made in order to find a standard measure of the CKCUEST. It has a crosssectional design, since the data will be averaged, taking a single piece of data for comparison, and it is prospective because the athletes were directly evaluated.xiii As a result of the relationship between the CKCUEST and the YBT-UQ, which was carried out by means of a Pearson correlation, statistically significant results were found in the relationship between the YBT-UQ and the CKCUEST3; YBT-UQ_D (p= 0.005), YBT-UQ_ND (p= 0.126) and YBT-UQ_T (p= 0.025), demonstrating that the variant that is related to the YBT-UQ is the CKCUEST3, corresponding to the measurement taken from 50 % of the athlete's height, in conclusion, the CKCUEST3 is the variant with which Ecuadorian athletes who use the upper body should be evaluatedItem Estrategia didáctica para la evaluación de la calidad de los estudios bioquímicos en el laboratorio clínico con base en los indicadores de eficacia(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Centro de Posgrados, 2022-12) Moreira Espinoza, Betty Andrea; Viteri Robayo, Carmen Patricia PhD.The didactic strategy refers to the way to carry out a training process, they require rules for the development of the actions, which allow the objectives established in the student training programs to be achieved. The reality of the biochemical evaluation strategy in students shows the absence of elements for its effective development, that is, there are shortcomings in terms of a didactic strategy that allows evaluating the quality of biochemical processes in students. Methodology: This is a quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional research. Population: It is made up of 67 students who are studying the sixth and seventh semester of the clinical laboratory career at the Technical University of Ambato, in the period between January 1, 2022 and October 1, 2022. A survey was applied through a questionnaire, with its validation. Results: A significant percentage of the surveyed students who state that they infrequently use some strategies was obtained. Conclusion: A didactic strategy based on efficacy indicators was suggested for the evaluation of the learning of biochemical studies. Aguilar Salazar, Aida FabiolaEmergency Obstetric Care (COEs) are performed in pregnant and postpartum women with complications, its purpose is to prevent maternal deaths. Establishments with COEs must provide adequate coverage for obstetric complications exceeded 15% and case fatality rate of less than 1% The Plan for Accelerated Reduction of Maternal Mortality in hospitals implemented the COEs since 2007, so this work is carried out to assess the management of direct and indirect complications in Ambato Provincial Teaching Hospital (HPDA) from 2008 to 2011. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We performed a retrospective study documentary, reviewed the record books of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and analyze a sample of 363 randomly selected medical records. We also analyze the medical records of all maternal deaths in the indicated period. RESULTS: During the study period care coverage for obstetric complications ranged from 25 to 28% and the case fatality rate was less than 0.5%. 99% were direct obstetric complications: prolonged labor/obstructed abortion complications, hemorrhage antepartum / postpartum average of 39%, 32.3% and 18.2% respectively. There were 31 deaths: five indirect complications, 13 associated with eclampsia/severe preeclampsia, 10 obstetric sepsis (6 complications of abortion, postpartum endometritis two stillbirths and 2), there were 3 cases of hypovolemic shock (ectopic pregnancy, placental retention and uterine atony). Twenty patients died within 48 hours of hospitalization. Diagnosis was based on the average of 2 hours and treatment was initiated in 1H30. The performances surgical/drug were effective and applied according to protocols. CONCLUSIONS: The COEs for HPDA CO coverages are adequate to rising above 25% with less than 0.5% TL, with rapid and effective implementation of protocols, but constant evaluation is essential to improve the service.
