Item Estudio descriptivo sobre el consumo y calidad del desayuno en estudiantes de la carrera de nutrición y dietética de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Nutrición y Dietética, 2023-09-01) Paredes Játiva, Joceline Lizbeth; Viteri Robayo, Carmen Patricia PhD.Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day, it has been identified that the habit of eating breakfast in the university population is less than 20%. In addition, research shows that one out of every three university students skip breakfast. The objective of this project was to conduct a descriptive study on the quality and frequency of breakfast consumption habits in university students. A quantitative, observational, descriptive, crosssectional, cross-sectional study was carried out. A population of 197 students of both sexes enrolled in Nutrition and Dietetics at the Technical University of Ambato was surveyed. The frequency of breakfast intake and its quality were evaluated. The results showed that 12.2% of the students do not eat breakfast, although 87.8% stated that they do eat breakfast, 25.9% do so infrequently (1-5 days). With respect to the quality of breakfast, 49.7% of the university students do not reach the recommended breakfast quality or simply do not eat breakfast. It is concluded that a high percentage of university students do not report the daily consumption of a breakfast that meets the criteria of good quality; and the fact of being a daily breakfast consumer does not guarantee that the choice of food is adequateItem Estrategia didáctica para la evaluación de la calidad de los estudios bioquímicos en el laboratorio clínico con base en los indicadores de eficacia(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Centro de Posgrados, 2022-12) Moreira Espinoza, Betty Andrea; Viteri Robayo, Carmen Patricia PhD.The didactic strategy refers to the way to carry out a training process, they require rules for the development of the actions, which allow the objectives established in the student training programs to be achieved. The reality of the biochemical evaluation strategy in students shows the absence of elements for its effective development, that is, there are shortcomings in terms of a didactic strategy that allows evaluating the quality of biochemical processes in students. Methodology: This is a quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional research. Population: It is made up of 67 students who are studying the sixth and seventh semester of the clinical laboratory career at the Technical University of Ambato, in the period between January 1, 2022 and October 1, 2022. A survey was applied through a questionnaire, with its validation. Results: A significant percentage of the surveyed students who state that they infrequently use some strategies was obtained. Conclusion: A didactic strategy based on efficacy indicators was suggested for the evaluation of the learning of biochemical studies.Item Calidad de atención durante el control prenatal en la Unidad de Salud Vicentina(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-10-07) Morales Barrera, Valeria Elizabeth; Gómez Bonilla, Narcisa BeatrizIntroduction: The World Health Organization defines quality health care as that which recognizes the needs of users; When evaluating the quality of care, the probability of achieving good results is increased, it depends on the patient's perspective, for this reason it is important to exceed expectations when meeting her needs. Mg.Family plays a very important role in patient recovery. Despite this, it is rarely considered as an important recovery component in nursing practices. As such, we decided to carry out the current research with the objective of determining the perception of relatives regarding patient care provided by nursing staff at the Intensive Care Unit of Ambato General Hospital. The research project uses a quantitative methodology, non-experimental field research design, with a cross-sectional type of descriptive research, the study population was made up of family members identified in the period established by the project with a total of 32 participants included by close relatives such as: parents, mothers, spouses, children; through the application of a structured interview, which was carried out in the Intensive Care Unit of the Ambato General Hospital. Finally, it was concluded that the relatives of the patients consider a very good nursing care, in the three dimensions studied, the quality of attention, emotional support and finally the level of communication between the nursing staff and the relatives, however there are aspects to improve, such as: the nursing staff must first identify their relatives so that they know and establish good communication with the staff in charge of their patient during the hospital stay.Item “Caracterización físicoquímica y bacteriológica de aguas de la laguna de colta de la zona central del Ecuador”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Laboratorio Clínico, 2019-02-01) López Vargas, Mayra Amanda; Zurita Aucancela, María Fernanda Lic.The objective of the present study is to characterize the physical-chemical and bacteriological parameters, in order to determine the water quality index of Laguna de Colta, for the presence of pathogenic microorganisms, it is a sanitary problem for all dwellers What is happening with this sector, for what was proposed in a descriptive and exploratory study, where the bacteria that are present in the water of the Lagunas de Colta were identified? Likewise, the analysis of the physical - chemical parameters was carried out, where water quality was determined for irrigation and agriculture according to TULSMA quality indexes. Through the tests carried out, three bacterial strains were identified, which are: Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris and Klebsiella pneumoniae are all pathogenic where the WHO says, in which they are sensitive to antibiotics (OFX, CN, CRO, SXT, FEP, AK, FF) in addition to an acquired disease such as AMC-CXM and Klebsiella pneumoniae showed resistance to AMC, determining that it is a broad-spectrum beta-lactamase (BLEA) due to the production of a SHV-1 enzyme. Compared with the water quality indexes (ICA), the water of the Colta lagoon represents an average of 50% that indicates that it is in the middle of the contamination, and that it needs a treatment for the seawater in Irrigation. Mg.The present objective is to investigate the water quality of the Yambo lagoon, according to its physical, chemical and bacteriological characteristics, for which a quasi-experimental study was carried out, determining several water parameters according to TULSMA, obtaining high values mostly , the bacteria present in the lagoon water were determined, for this a 6 point sample of the lagoon was taken, both in the morning and in the afternoon; 3M petrifilm media for aerobic, S. aureus, coli / coliforms, were isolated from the latter, 98% of which was established by the WHO, so the identification of the type of bacteria was enhanced, and 8 types of bacteria were determined. belonging to the enterobacteria, finally proceeded to perform the antibiogram according to CLSI 2018.
