Item ANSIEDAD Y DEPRESIÓN COMO CAMBIO FISIOLÓGICO O PATOLÓGICO EN EL EMBARAZO: REVISIÓN BIBLIOGRÁFICA(2025-06-17) Garcés Cano Nahomi Micaela; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia Isabel; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de EnfermeríaPregnancy is a physiological and psychological process that women go through, becoming a sensitive point for developing mental pathologies such as anxiety and depression in the prenatal stage, associated with related causative risk factors. Objective: To determine the prevalence of anxiety and depression levels (physiological or pathological) in pregnant women to promote education during the prenatal stage. Methods: A systematic search was conducted in electronic databases such as PubMed, Scielo, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Dialnet, following PRISMA guidelines. Observational studies published between 2019 and 2024 that investigated anxiety and depression as physiological or pathological changes in pregnancy were included. Results: The symptoms of anxiety and depression are related to their origin, whether physiological or pathological, leading to various complications for the dyad that pose a life-threatening risk, and are also associated with risk factors and the history of the pregnant woman's pathologies. Conclusion: The bibliographic review conducted will support the updating and promotion of knowledge about mental disorders that silently affect pregnant women, caused by various risk factors that further exacerbate adverse effects, making depression and anxiety become a proper pathology according to the CIE-10.Item NIVELES DE ANSIEDAD Y EVITACIÓN EXPERIENCIAL EN SERVIDORES PÚBLICOS(2025-03-05) Benavides Paredes, Sandra Anabel; Cueva Rubio, María Augusta; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología ClínicaAnxiety refers to a complex response system involving cognitive, physiological and behavioral processes; on the other hand, experiential avoidance is a phenomenon that consists of avoiding unpleasant thoughts, emotions or sensations instead of accepting them. The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between levels of anxiety and experiential avoidance in public servants. The sample used was 150 employees of a public institution in the Pelileo canton, province of Tungurahua. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, crosssectional and correlational scope. The variables were measured through the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire - II (AAQ-II). The results showed that there is a high positive correlation between the following variables (Rho=0.701 p<0.001). Therefore, it is concluded that the higher the level of anxiety, the higher the degree of experiential avoidance in public servants.Item PERCEPCIÓN DE LAS EMBARAZADAS SOBRE ANSIEDAD Y EL USO DE TERAPIAS ALTERNATIVAS COMO APOYO EMOCIONAL(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-03) Ati Andino, Alison Mirley; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia IsabelAccording to PAHO, anxiety and depression during pregnancy turn out to be disorders of mood and emotions that the mother presents during this stage, these being a mental health condition that can affect significantly in some cases and in others mildly. Adolescents are more prone to develop mental health problems. Anxiety and video game dependence are phenomena that have increased in prevalence in recent years in adolescents, reflecting a significant challenge. Therefore, the aim of the study was to determine the relationship between anxiety and dependence on video games in adolescents between 13 and 19 years of age in the rural sector. The study used a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design and correlational scope, with a cross-sectional cut. The instrument used to assess anxiety was the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and the Test of Video Game Dependence (TDV) was used to assess video game dependence. After analyzing the results, a prevalence of moderate anxiet y and a low level of video game dependence were found. In addition, significant differenc e s were observed between men and women in video game dependence, with men having a higher score. Finally, it was found that there was a slight positive relationship betwee n the variables studied.Item SATISFACCIÓN DE LA IMAGEN CORPORAL Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA ANSIEDAD EN ADOLESCENTES(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-09-06) Campos Paredes, Katheryn Andrea; Flores Hernández, Verónica FernandaBody image is the perception that a person has of their own body, which can be either positive or negative. A negative perception can result in physical and emotional discomfort. The objective of this research was to de-termine the relationship between the level of body image satisfaction and anxiety in adolescents since this stage led to several physical and emotional changes. The Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) was used to evaluate the level of body image dissatisfaction and Beck’s Anxiety Inventory (BAI) was used to calculate anxiety. This study was managed under a quantitative approach of non-experimen tal design with a descriptive-correlational scope with a cross-sectional section. Based on the results, it was concluded that there is a mild positive correlation, which indicates that the greater the dissatisfaction of the body image, the greater the likelihood of experiencing anxiety symptoms. Likewise, there is low dissatisfaction with body image and high levels of severe anxiety and statisticall y significant differences according to sex.Item RESILIENCIA Y ANSIEDAD EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-09-06) Bombón Lagua, Tannia Paola; Gaibor Gonzalez, Ismael AlvaroResilience is the ability to overcome adversity while anxiety implies a feeling of lack of control. The objective was to determine if there is a relationship between these variabl es . The Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale and the Hamilton Anxiety Scale were applie d to 107 Ecuadorian university students. The study was cross-sectional and correlationa l , finding a slight negative or inverse relationship between both variables. In addition, most of the participants presented high or very high levels of resilience and low levels of anxiety. Although men had a higher mean of resilience than women, this difference was not significant. Implications of these results are discussed.Item Conductas sobre sexting y ansiedad en adolescentes(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-08-01) Cujano Chimborazo, Joselyn Lissette; Valencia Cepeda, María Cristina Psc. Cl. Mst.This study analyzes how social pressure and excessive use of technology influence the emotional well-being of adolescents. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between sexting behaviors and anxiety in adolescents. A sample of 100 male and female participants was taken, ranging in age from 12 to 18 years old. This study is a non-experimental quantitative approach, cross-sectional and correlational in scope. For the variables studied, the Behavioral Scale on sexting ECS adapted by Chacón-López et al. (2016) and the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) developed by Clark & Beck (2012) were used. To obtain the results, the Spearman correlation test was applied, finding that there was a slight positive correlation between anxiety and active disposition (Rho= 0.210 p<0.05), and participation (Rho= 0.225 p<0.05), but there was no relationship with emotional expression (Rho=0.061 p>0.05). These data allowed concluding that those who have an active disposition towards sexting and a greater participation in this practice tend to experience anxiety symptoms.Item Técnicas de relajación para el manejo de la ansiedad en estudiantes universitarios(Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Centro de Posgrados, 2024-06-13) Rhea Freire, Paula Camila; Robayo Carrillo, Jessy MarianaThe general objective of the present research was to know the effectiveness of the application of relaxation techniques on anxious symptoms in university students. Because this population does not receive support for the management of this type of condition. Regarding the methodology used, a quantitative, quasi-experimental longitudinal cohort approach was maintained. With a population of 300 students from the Pedagogy of Physical Activity and Sports major, with non-probabilistic convenience sampling, a sample of 33 students was obtained. The information was collected using the Hamilton anxiety scale to evaluate anxious symptoms, which was used before and after the training. The training taught three types of relaxation techniques. Which were Jacobson's progressive relaxation, Schultz's autogenic training and Labrador's breathing control training. The data were analyzed using SPSS 26, in which the results obtained indicated that the group presented severe anxiety. Through the paired student's T analysis, it was known that relaxation techniques are effective in anxiety symptomatology in university students.Item ROL DE ENFERMERÍA EN LA ANSIEDAD DE LA PACIENTE EN PERIODO PRENATAL(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-29) Telenchana Telenchana, Aracelly Belèn; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia IsabelIntroduction: Pregnancy involves important physical and emotional changes in women, which can generate psychological disorders, making it a priority research topic for public health. Anxiety generates excessive and persistent worries, classified as the second most disabling mental disorder in American countries. For this reason, health professionals must participate in educational, preventive and therapeutic interventions. Methodology: A systematic bibliographic review of articles with the criteria (PRISMA) was carried out through a search in health science databases: Pbmed, Scielo y Elsevier. Results: Review tables were made divided by subtopics: 1) Articles were reviewed in relation to prenatal anxiety, 2) Factors associated with prenatal anxiety and 3) Nursing role in prenatal anxiety. Discussion: The articles reviewed on the risk factors for prenatal anxiety agree that low social/family support, domestic violence, low economic income, as well as a history of psychological disorders give rise to psychological and emotional health problems of the pregnant woman. Which evidenced the need to educate the pregnant patient to clarify doubts throughout the pregnancy. Conclusion: Nursing, being the staff that has the first contact with the patient, has to participate as an educator in the controls that the mother undergoes in the different health entities in order to identify alterations in both physical and mental health.
