Item Utilización de circuitos motores para mejorar la disfunción sensorial en niños menores de 5 años(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Centro de posgrados, 2021-09-01) Balladares Pérez, Mónica Lilián Lic.; Martínez Cosme, Arturo Dr.In the current educational system, there are several problems of psychomotor skills, learning, that boys and girls externalize, originating in the diffusion of sensory integration, a factor that conditions the relationship and adaptation to the environment, directly influencing academic results, for this reason this study sets the objective of establishing an intervention program for sensory dysfunctions through motor circuits in children under 5 years of age. From this perspective, it intends to collaborate in the integral development preventing future learning difficulties that, through the contents, principles and regulations, benefit in the work of psychomotor skills in search of improving the patterns of sensory processing, sensory system, coordination, motor skills and the language. Methodology, a qualitative approach was applied, in addition the Dunn Test that measures the sensory area and the Pepsi Test that measures the areas: coordination, motor skills and language, was used with a total of 30 boys and girls who attend the Center Specialized in Language and Speech Pathologies CEPALH. Results, it was evidenced that 26% presented sensory alterations, in the delay of coordination in 40%, 27% difficulties in motor skills and 57% delay in language. To relate sensory dysfunctions with psychomotor development, an intervention guide was developed with significant motor activities focused on improving the integration of sensory information received through the senses, vestibular, proprioceptive and tactile. design of an intervention guide that reduces alterations and improves their developmentItem “Aplicación de la musicoterapia en la coordinación motora y equilibrio en deportistas con discapacidad intelectual”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Terapia Física, 2020-02-01) Nuñez Pillajo, Ericka Paola; Espín Pastor, Victoria Estefanía Lcda. Mg.The present research is about the application of music therapy as essential role in the enhance of motor coordination and balance in intellectual disability athletes. For intervention protocol an initial evaluation was carry out by three test which allowed sort out athletes in high, medium and low difficulty levels. The intervention protocol was performed three times per week for increase scores and be effective in vulnerable patients. Research was done through an qualitative, field approach with a descriptive type level. The intervention was performed for eight weeks with ten intellectual disability athletes. At the participants was applied the music therapy with a metronome and music instruments were used in each exercise according to the intervention level, with motor coordination and balance basic exercise. In the final evaluation changes in cognitive, coordination and balance level was observed. This results can be applied in other populations and with greater number of participants. Mg.Down Syndrome (SD) is a chromosomal disorder caused by the additional presence of part or all of chromosome 21, which causes a series of physical, physiological and cognitive disorders in those who suffer from it. The vestibular and optokinetic system of the brain is affected, so one of the main features of this syndrome is the loss of balance and motor coordination. The main objective of this research was to determine the effects of the application of music therapy on motor coordination and balance in athletes with Down syndrome belonging to Special Olympics Ecuador from Quito. An intervention protocol was applied with a sample of six male athletes with Down syndrome, whose ages range between 15 and 42 years. During 8 weeks of intervention, 3 times for week and 60 minutes each one. An evaluation was made at the beginning and end of the intervention through the KTK Test, and Romberg Test. This intervention was based on a training program with neurological music therapy of 15 exercises distributed in three difficulty levels high, medium and low. The intervention with neurological music therapy during the 8 weeks of intervention produces positive results on evaluated variables, improving the motor coordination by an average of 12% and the balance by 17%.Item “Tipos de familias y el desarrollo psicomotor de niños y niñas de 3 a 4 años.”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Estimulación Temprana, 2018-03-01) Garcés Bastidas, María Alejandra; Valencia Medina, Paola SilvanaPsc. Cl. Mg.The present investigation intends to establish in what way the types of families influence the psychomotor development of children from 3 to 4 years old, in the Héroes del 95 Private Educational Unit located in the Izamba parish of the Ambato Canton. To fulfill this objective, a registration sheet was applied to 25 parents or legal representatives of the children. In addition, the Psychomotor Development Test (TEPSI) of Haeussler & Marchant (2009) was used as an evaluation instrument for the child population. The results were analyzed statistically by the Chi-square test. Obtaining that the family structure does not significantly affect the psychomotor development of children aged 3 to 4 years in this study.Item Efectos de los Ejercicios de Equilibrio y Coordinación para mejorar la Motricidad Gruesa en personas con Discapacidad Intelectual(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Carrera Terapia Física, 2016-05-01) Bonilla Proaño, Lidia Noemí; Córdova Velasco, Luis ErnestoDr. Mg.In the present research work it was raised aimed to determine the effects of balance and coordination exercises to improve gross motor skills in people with intellectual disabilities who attend the Center on Disabilities Inclusive "El Peral" GADMA belonging to the Municipality of Ambato. The study was shown to 34 people who meet the inclusion criteria, which have mild to moderate intellectual disability. After having the respective authorization by informed consent by parents we proceeded to collect information for our study. several data collection instruments among which are the observation sheet adapted to describe the exercises of balance and coordination made by the therapist was used instead; Tinetti test that allowed us to know the initial and final state of the subjects in the study, along with a survey questionnaire of ten questions applied to parents at the beginning and end of the investigation. These instruments were the basis of the study because the data could be verified the effectiveness of the exercises. The results of the research were positive as it was possible to improve balance and coordination in people with intellectual disabilities; that is, they managed to maintain their balance when valued as sit without support and remain stable, rising from a single attempt without losing balance, standing with eyes closed, turn 360º degrees, achieving kept in balance by pushing the sternal area.
