    ASERTIVIDAD Y ESTADO DE ÁNIMO EN ADULTOS PROFESIONALES

    Assertiveness is the absence of anxiety in social situations, which allows the manifesting of feelings, thoughts, emotions, and actions. On the other hand, the mood is a composite of self-perceived sensations, the origin of which is biopsychosocial and practically manageable by the perceiving subject himself. This study aimed to determine the relationship between assertiveness and mood in professional adults. The study maintains a quantitative-non-experimental approach, with a cross-sectional and correlational scope. The Rathus Assertiveness Test (RAS), standardized by Madrigal in 2009 in Costa Rica, and the mood assessme nt scale (EVEA), standardized by Giuria and López in 2021 in Peru, were used to measure the variables. The results showed that there is a correlation between the variables, 96% of the population has a level of assertiveness above the average range. In the mood state, 42% maintain a moderate level of happiness with low levels of anxiety at 42%, sadness-depression at 50%, and anger-hostility at 64%. In addition, no significant differences were found in the quality of sleep according to gender.

    Afrontamiento de estrés y asertividad en trasportistas urbanos

    Introducción: El afrontamiento de estrés y asertividad son capacidades esenciales en la vida del ser humano, pues permite que se desarrolle de manera adecuada en su entorno tanto personal como laboral, adicional, ayuda a mantener un equilibrio en cuanto emociones, pensamientos y decisiones. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los estilos de afrontamiento de estrés y asertividad en trasportistas urbanos. Métodos: La metodología que se utilizó fue descriptiva-correlacional, tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo y diseño no experimental con corte transversal en 98 transportistas urbanos de la ciudad de Ambato. Resultados: Tras el análisis, se pudo deducir que los estilos de afrontamiento de estrés presentan una correlación negativa significativa entre cada uno de ellos con la asertividad y las puntuaciones totales. Conclusiones: Se concluye que seis de siente estilos de afrontamiento tienen relación con la asertividad, lo que puede estar relacionado a que mientras mayor estilos de afrontamiento tenga una persona presenta mayor asertividad

    Funcionalidad familiar y asertividad en estudiantes de educación general básica superior y bachillerato

    Students who are passive victims of bullying have difficulties in assertiveness, a social skill most frequently learned in the family. The objective was to determine the relationship between family functionality and assertiveness dimensions in 87 students of a PCEI educational institution in Tungurahua. The research approach was quantitative, correlational in scope, nonexperimental and cross-sectional design. The instruments applied were the Family Functioning Perception Test (FF-SIL) and the Multidimensional Assertiveness Scale (EMA). The results showed a moderate positive relationship between family functionality and one of the dimensions of assertiveness: assertiveness (R= 0.605, p < 0.01); the highest percentage (46%) corresponded to individuals who expressed having a moderately functional family; in the three dimensions of assertiveness there was a predominance of subjects who are in the normal range; the mean family functionality score in men (H=44.4) was not significantly different from that in women (M=47.2). In conclusion, the higher the family functionality, the higher the assertiveness; there was a predominance of families that partially develop seven categories; most of the students in each of the assertiveness dimensions reflected a fluctuating and intermediate degree and finally, sex did not interfere in family functionality

    La ansiedad y su relación con las habilidades sociales en estudiantes universitarios

    The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and social skills levels in university students. The study had a quantitative, correlational, non- experimental and cross-sectional approach. The population sample was delimited through a non-probabilistic and intentional sampling with the participation of 159 people with an age range of 22 to 40 years. Anxiety was assessed with the Beck Anxiety Inventory and social skills with the Social Skills Scale. The data were analyzed and contrasted using SPSS-28 statistical software. The results determined that there is a statistically significant, moderate and inversely proportional relationship between anxiety and social skills (Rho=−0.493**; p=0.001<0.05). It is concluded that when anxiety levels increase, there is a decrease in the levels of social skills and vice versa in the university students evaluated. Likewise, the prevailing levels of anxiety were minimal and mild, while the predominant level of social skills was high.

    The present research work on the relationship between the degree of assertiveness and the risk of alcohol consumption in the students of the Colegio Galo Miño with the years of high school of the two specialties offered by the institution for the information necessary for this research was obtained Through the collection of data with Gambrill and Richey Assertion Inventory (AI) to determine the degree of discomfort in the subject, the estimated probability for assertive behavior to manifest, and the situations in which The evaluated one is more or less assertive, and the Questionnaire for the Risk of Consumption, with which it is tried the situations that tend to the consumption of alcohol in the adolescents. In the process, 110 high school students were evaluated, which showed that there was a relationship between the two variables, finding that 38% of those evaluated do not have assertive behaviors, which represents a moderate risk of alcohol consumption. Thus, adolescents who do not possess assertive behaviors are more likely to have moderate to severe risk of consuming alcohol in their adolescence, which triggers problems in the three main areas of development such as family, social and school personnel, As well as risk of consumption of other types of illegal stimulant substances that would cause great harm to adolescents and their families.

    Assertiveness is one of the capabilities of human beings to express their beliefs and their rights, using a behavior devoid of aggressiveness and emphasizing the expression of their feelings, positive and negative opinion in any social situation. In several studies it has been determined that one of the main social skills that can prevent alcohol and other substances is assertiveness, poor ability to exchange ideas, thoughts and even their emotions, difficult problem solving and thus causes difficulties in defense of one's rights to others. Of course we take into account that alcohol is multicausal where personal, family and social variables, education is encompassed, all in relation to the chronicity of alcohol and tobacco use is directly linked with the absence of assertive behavior in the teenager because largely assertive behavior type are depleted either by lack of both family practice and personal or remote to negligent behavior regarding conflict resolution. The approach under which this work was done was quantitatively and qualitatively, in the first instance with the form of documentary bibliographical research and secondly with the mode field research, with the objective of correlating the variables studied.

Today stress is a factor affecting the proper development of each of the individuals, since the pace of life of a college student requires effort and achievement of various activities, in addition to the requirement imposed by each teacher required perseverance and dedication, as well as time for the duties, tasks, lessons and exhibitions, are everyday demands of college student. In achievement of academic activities and of the everyday life, assertiveness refers to the quality solve and assume in an appropriate manner their own situations and life events, stress is a variable that influence in the resolution of any situation. At present, the University Students have Difficulties and problems to assume different Responsibilities and the load psychologicals level is expressed by the stress.     La Comunicación Familiar y la Asertividad de los Adolescentes de Noveno y Décimo Año de Educación Básica del Instituto Tecnológico Agropecuario Benjamín Araujo del Cantón Patate

    This research study aims to study family communication and assertiveness of ninth- and tenth year of basic education of the Technological Institute of Patate Canton Benjamin Araujo. The necessary information was collected by reagents: Scale parent-adolescent communication (PACS). Designed by Barnes and Olson in 1982 and translated into Spanish and validated by Musitu et al. (2004). In studies of Estevez (2005) and Estevez et al. (2007), which measures the communication styles. The other reagent used is the scale (test) Rathus assertiveness, which measures levels of assertiveness in adolescents. With the application of reagents has concluded that family communication is related to assertiveness of adolescents, a high percentage of the population studied handle a avoidant communication or offensive communication with parents, we must consider that this prevents students easily express their thoughts and feelings. Regarding Assertiveness a high percentage of teens run an unassertive level and quite assertive to relate to the social environment in which they operate, making it difficult in their daily life, generating a series of conflicts for himself and for others. As a proposal of psychological intervention implementing a program of psychoeducation focused on family communication for the purpose of providing strategies to improve communication style that handle teenagers with their parents and at the same time help improve their level of assertiveness is prioritized.

    Estrategias de Comunicación Asertiva de los docentes del Instituto Tecnológico Superior Rumiñahui y efectos emocionales en los estudiantes de primero A tercer año de Bachillerato

    This research work was to evaluate assertive communication strategies in educational and emotional effects on students of third year of High School College the place of the investigation was in the "Rumiñahui School" in the city of Ambato, Tungurahua Province, those present at work are 121 teachers and 121 students of the institution in question. Methodologically the information was obtained by applying multidimensional scaling Assertiveness (EMA) and the Scale for assessing subsequent positive and negative emotions Fredrickson (2009) analysis of the results achieved as shown by calculating "Chi-square "X2 for hypothesis testing, concluding that assertive communication strategies not related to the emotional effects [X² (2) = 84.51 p <0.001, N = 121], as well; the null hypothesis is accepted and the alternative hypothesis is rejected, ie it is confirmed that there is no relationship of assertive communication strategies of teachers with the emotional effects of the juniors in high school the Rumiñahui Association; most teachers has an average assertiveness, resulting in a higher rate of positive emotions students third year of high school and to a lesser extent indirect assertiveness that is directly related to negative emotions. Finally, the creation of a psychological model based on behavioral prevention emotional assertiveness aimed at teachers with assertive communication strategies and juniors in high school with emotional effects of "Rumiñahui Association" with the purpose or objective aims to improve the environment both inside and outside the classroom.

    The present investigation was to study the influence that maintain the interpersonal relationships in the assertiveness of persons with hearing deficit between the 18 and 25 years of age in the association of the deaf was established in the province of Tungurahua canton Ambato, the sample was composed of 30 people between the ages listed in where they were applied two psychometric test measurement, the first method used the template guide of interpretation 16 pf of Raymonds Cattell which assesses personality types but within the same there is a section to measure interpersonal relations and this is the section that we will take into account for the investigation, additionally continued with the implementation of the multidimensional scale of assertiveness (EMA) .After performing The evaluation found that interpersonal relationships if influence of positive and negative manner in the assertiveness of persons with hearing deficit. It was also found that people with hearing deficit prefer maintaining interpersonal relationships very closed, that is to say, their family or social circle is comprised of persons with the same hearing impairment as nuclear family, due to the fear of being rejected by the average listener and that is why wakes up its defense mechanism to preserve his ego by minimizing the social circle that could possess. On the other hand, the assertiveness was ambivalent, since it the people with a greater acceptance of the medium and with a broad social circle in their interpersonal relationships possessed a better assertiveness that people with hearing deficit that his social circle was more upscale and closed.
