In the present research, titled “Gymnastic Practices in the Psychomotor Coordination of Middle Basic Education Students,” the main objective was to analyze the impact of gymnastics, viewed as a didactic strategy, on the psychomotor development of students, considering its fundamental role in holistic growth during the school stage. The study was conducted using a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative methods. A systematic observation was carried out through the use of checklists, and the KTK test (developed by Kiphard and Schilling, 1974) was implemented to assess levels of motor coordination before and after the execution of the gymnastic practice plan. Additionally, documentary reviews of the institution's academic plans were conducted. The sample consisted of 38 students from Middle Basic Education at Unidad Educativa Ambato. The results showed a notable improvement in the students’ psychomotor coordination after the proposal was implemented, especially in areas such as balance, rhythm, laterality, and eye-motor coordination. It was concluded that structured and continuous gymnastics practice effectively enhances students’ psychomotor development, becoming a highly valuable pedagogical tool. It is recommended that teachers receive training in gymnastic techniques so that they can incorporate them into their curricular planning.

The research titled "Gymnastic Practices in Motor Skills in Middle General Basic Education Students" has the main objective of determining the level of relationship between gymnastic practices and motor skills. The approach is quantitative, employing a non-experimental design. The scope is correlational as it seeks to establish the relationship between gymnastic practices and motor skills. The study was crosssectional, and the theoretical foundation of the research was deductive, based on established theories to analyze the obtained results. The study was conducted using the MOBAK Test research instrument, and the information obtained was processed with the SPSS statistical program, applying a correlation analysis between the variables. The selected sample consisted of 64 students from the 5th, 6th, and 7th grades of Basic General Education from the educational unit. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov and ShapiroWilk tests were applied, and the significance value (p) was compared with the significance level α=0.05. For motor skills, the significance value obtained was 0.000, and for gymnastic practices, the significance value obtained was 0.018. The values obtained are lower than the established significance level; therefore, the null hypothesis of normality is rejected, suggesting that the distribution of the variables is not normal. Concluding that there is a significant difference between the variables, considering that gymnastics practices are not necessarily required to develop motor skills, although there are several diagnosed activities that could aid the process.

The thesis titled Gymnastic Practices in the Explosive Strength of Students in Upper Basic General Education addresses the relevance of developing explosive strength, a key factor in physical and sports performance. Its main objective was to determine the impact of gymnastic practices on the explosive strength of students in Upper Basic General Education. The methodology used was quantitative, applied, preexperimental, and field-based, with a longitudinal, analytical-synthetic, hypotheticaldeductive, and comparative design, employing the non-parametric Wilcoxon statistical test. The results showed that the p value was less than 0.05 in both dimensions (upper and lower body), validating the alternate hypothesis and demonstrating a significant impact of the program. Initially, the explosive strength of the lower body showed low levels with a predominance of negative ratings and an absence of outstanding performances, while in the upper body, the results were better, with a predominance of positive ratings. After the intervention, significant improvements were observed: in the lower body, the acceptable level increased to 43.2%, and the very good level reached 10.8%, with a notable reduction in low levels; in the upper body, the good level increased to 56.8%, and the very good level to 24.3%, drastically reducing low levels. These findings reflect a general improvement in the explosive strength of students in both the upper and lower body, highlighting the effectiveness of the gymnastic practice program. The research concludes that the implementation of these practices constitutes a valuable strategy for strengthening explosive strength in educational contexts, demonstrating its potential to optimize motor performance and promote a balanced development of students' physical capacities.
