(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Estimulación Temprana, 2020-02-01) Santana Bonilla, Karen Beatriz; Troya Ortiz, Elsa Verónica Lcda. Mg.
In this research project entitled "MUSIC THERAPY IN THE PSYCHOMOTRIC DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN OF 4 YEARS", we will find important information on the use of music therapy and the benefits they have in the evolutionary development of children, since music It has been used since ancient times to prevent diseases and as a treatment for them in the case of people with Alzheimer's disease, children who have characteristics of the different syndromes and also in people with normal development since through music they Get a balance of body, soul and emotions. In early childhood the use of music therapy influences the psychomotor, sensorimotor, and intellectual and language development, since during the birth the first neuronal pruning occurs and the neurons adapt to the acquisition of new learning especially to adapt in the outside world, upon receiving the sound stimuli, children acquire learning and knowledge that will serve them in the future. During psychomotor development, early stimulation is important as it allows and helps the child to evolve in a better way the skills and abilities that correspond to the age of the evolutionary development that he presents, therefore if there is a delay in the acquisition of an item motor, a treatment plan must be created according to the needs of the child and be able to develop it until the acquisition of said item is achieved.

This Research Project is developed on the theme "Outdoor Games in the Motor Development of children aged 2 to 3 years, whose general objective was to determine the influence of outdoor games on motor development. thick of children from 2 to 3 years old. The technique of observation was used to collect the information and the sub-scale of the Tepsi Test was used as an instrument. At the beginning of the investigation a pre - test was applied, which allowed us to conclude that 60% of the children were at risk in their gross motor development and 40% had a delay, therefore, none of the children had a normal development according to their age presenting mainly difficulties in coordination, balance and stability. And at the same time, these results served as a basis for carrying out an intervention plan applied for a period of 3 months for outdoor games as a stimulus in the gross motor area. Finally, a post - test was applied, the results of which allowed us to conclude that the outdoor games are a fundamental instrument to stimulate the gross motor development, since after the intervention the children improved, reaching a 100% in the motor performance.

Which it had a question to answer and it was: establish the proprioceptive room influence in children from 0 to 3 years old with Down syndrome. In this point, I proved that children with Down syndrome showed a retardation in the milestone’s accomplishment of development. It is due to presence of mental retardation with intellectual coefficient between mild and moderate. Also, the multisensory room helps children to active their senses because it works with different stimuli. That is to say that it lets to wake up in children new feelings improving the working of their central nervous system. Likewise, the project applied an observation sheet focusing on visualize what kind of activities the teachers did in the multisensory room. After that, the Sensory Profile Test of Winnie Dunn was applied in children of 8 years old who always came up to “El Peral” Disability Inclusive Center. The test was focusing at parents because they know very well the posible answers of their children to sensory interactions that occur in the whole day. Finally, the application of the test let to get an important aspect to be consider and it was the sensory processing. It let to know the functional performance section of the child. With the processing and analysis of the results obtained, it turns out that the majority of children showed definite difference or sensory processing problems.
