Item INTERVENCIÓN MULTICOMPONENTE EN ADULTOS MAYORES CON RIESGO DE SÍNDROME DE FRAGILIDAD(2025-06-17) Ushco Baño, Sandy Dayana; Espín López, Valeria Isabel; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de EnfermeríaIntroduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) points out that aging is an irreversible process that human beings experience, it is associated with a decrease in muscle and bone mass. Since it causes a gradual deterioration of physical, cognitive and psychological functions. Objective: Determine the effectiveness of the multicomponent intervention in older adults at risk of frailty syndrome Methods: The research is quantitative, quasi-experimental design, longitudinal section, descriptive scope, it was carried out at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Nursing Home, Ciudadela neighborhood. Spain, in the period March - June 2024, the sample was 23 older adults. A pre and post test was assessed using the Barthel Index, Reduced Battery for the Assessment of Physical Performance (SPPB) and walking speed, where informed consent was obtained for the same, for this the SSPS program version 26.0 was used for the analysis of data. Results: The minimum age of the sample was 67 to 92 years. It was evident that at the beginning 60.9% presented moderate dependence, after the intervention it reached 34.8%. Regarding the moderate limitation at the beginning it was 34.8%, after the intervention it was 30.4%. Conclusions: Older adults who completed the multicomponent exercise program improved their physical condition, physical and functional dependence, which highlights the importance of implementing this intervention for healthy aging.Item Intervención educativa de enfermería en la adherencia terapeútica de adultos mayores con diagnósticos de hipertensión y diabetes durante la pandemia covid-19(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-09-01) Cajamarca Chicaiza, Karen Michelle; Jiménez Peralta, Ana Lucia Lic. Mg.The low figures of therapeutic adherence have become a worldwide health problem, so the present research had the objective of applying an educational nursing intervention on the therapeutic adherence to older adults with diagnoses of hypertension and diabetes during the COVID-19 pandemic, through a quantitative-explanatory study, with a quasi-experimental and crosssectional design. The sample consisted of 30 older adults belonging to the Lions Club of the Sigsicalle Sur neighborhood, divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 15 persons each. Regarding the results, the experimental group presented pre- and post-intervention adherence percentages of 65.3% and 76.15%, respectively. While the control group decreased adherence by 1,48%. Regarding the first dimension related to the intake of medication, food and exercise, adherence increased by 12.77%, regarding the dimension related to medical-behavioral follow-up, it increased by 7.14% and regarding the third dimension of self-efficacy, it increased by 12.64%. In conclusion, the effectiveness of the intervention on therapeutic adherence is shown, so that the significant contribution of the educational role of nursing during the COVID-19 pandemic can be affirmed.Item Intervención cognitiva a las mujeres que asisten al grupo de apoyo de la lactancia materna(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-04-01) Tamayo Martínez, Paola Lisbeth; Fernández Soto, Gerardo FernandoDr , PhD.Introduction: Breastfeeding affords benefits for mother-child health and nutrition that is why an opportune educational intervention of promotion, support and advisory during the prenatal, immediate period and postpartum period guarantees the length and exceptionality of breastfeeding. Objective: To evaluate the impact of educational intervention of women who attend the ¨maternal breastfeeding support group¨. Method: Quantitative, prospective, descriptive research with a quasi-experimental design (before and after) in a sample made up of 10 pregnant women and 20 women in the breastfeeding period. The measurement was carried out through the questionnaire; IIFAS scale of attitudes towards child nutrition of lowa. Results: According to the correlation coefficient analysis, the student´s t - test and the results obtained using the post- test, statistical significance was found with a probability of less than 0.05. Meanwhile, in the attitude items, the pre- intervention showed a mean and standard deviation of 2.07-1.16, respectively, compared to the post- intervention, which obtained 4.48-0.65. Conclusions: Age and low level of educational are issues that the contribute to early weaning breastfeeding; however, after the educational intervention carried out, a better and positive attitudes to improved and encouraged breastfeeding in the mothers was reached.Item “Estrategias de intervención de enfermería para el manejo de pacientes con intoxicación por alcohol metílico que llega al servicio de emergencia del hospital general Latacunga”(Enfermería, 2018-10-01) Casa Ante, Ruth Diana; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy Cristina, DraThis research deals with the strategies used by nursing professionals for the care of patients intoxicated with methyl alcohol during their daily practice in the emergency service of the General Hospital Latacunga. The aim of this study was to analyze the application of PAE as an intervention strategy for the management of patients intoxicated with methyl alcohol, in order to know if nursing professionals use this strategy as a scientific method, which allows them to validate the care provided. An investigation was carried out with a quantitative, descriptive and field approach, which allowed to describe and analyze the obtained data. The sample consisted of 33 nursing professionals from the General Hospital Latacunga. To obtain the data, a survey was applied with 28 items with five response options, according to the Lickert scale. For the reliability of the instrument, a pilot test was applied applying Crombach's alpha of 0.79, which resulted in a favorable result for the application of the surveys. The results are shown in statistical tables where it was evidenced that most of the nursing professionals apply the PAE as a nursing intervention strategy for the care of patients intoxicated with methyl alcohol. It was concluded that the nursing professionals use the PAE and Valuation model of Virginia Henderson for the care of the patients, in the same way they identify diagnoses of risk, potentials, promotion and syndrome; executing the planned actions, with the aim of promoting the independence, rehabilitation and recovery of the health of patients intoxicated with methyl alcohol.
