Item La actividad física acuática y la calidad de vida del adulto mayor del asilo de ancianos del hospital Ambato(2015) Rivera, Carlos; Indacochea Mendoza, Jean CarlosThe answer to the aquatic physical activity in older adults has been widely evidenced and regular practice contributes to improving the quality of life. Moreover, assessment and evaluation of the elderly before starting an exercise program. A balanced and planned program should include activities to achieve each of the three objectives of good physical coordination: increase flexibility, increase strength and increase cardiovascular endurance. It is shown that physical exercise and sports, can preserve most vital and physical strength, delay the devolution of skeletal muscle, strengthen joint activity and prevents osteoporosis and bone fractures; involved in preventing arteriosclerosis cardiovascular aging, stress resistance and adaptation, strengthening the psychological balance and social activity.
