    Análisis del material vulcanizado caucho estireno-butadieno 1502 con dióxido de silicio amorfo y su incidencia en la resistencia a la abrasión, fatiga por flexión y dureza, mediante la utilizaciòn de normas NTE-INEN-ISO, en la empresa Carvifactory CIA LTDA

    In the present investigation, the mechanical behavior of a compression vulcanized composite material, consisting of Rubber SBR 1502, Amorphous Silicon Dioxide and other compounds was evaluated. In addition, through the use of NTE-INEN-ISO 4649, 20344 and 868 standards, Abrasion Resistance, Flexural Fatigue and Hardness tests were performed, respectively. For this, it was necessary to develop different specimens, manufactured under these 3 same standards. Once all the trial data were obtained, they were tabulated and analyzed using two statistical techniques: Factorial Design and Response Surface Methodology (RSM) These two statistical strategies allowed validating all the data obtained, defining the significant effects and their influence on the mechanical properties evaluated and optimize each of the response variables according to the NTE-INEN-ISO 20345, 20346 and 20347 requirement standards, which specify the minimum, maximum or range values for each property evaluated. After analyzing all the data, it is observed that the RSM is the most appropriate tool to study the effects of the factors on the variables in this investigation. Thus, by means of the composite desirability function of 0.858, it is defined that the combination that allows keeping within the 3 requirements is a material composed of 100 PHR of Rubber SBR 1502 + 44 PHR Amorphous Silicon Dioxide + 30 PHR of the others compounds, where an Abrasion Resistance of 136.5271 mm3 was obtained, an Incision Growth of 0.4034 mm and a Hardness of 66.87 SHORE A.

    Diseño y construcción de una máquina lavadora de discos de vinilo para la estación de radio estéreo San Miguel

    The This Technical Project called “Design and construction of a washing machine for vinyl records for the San Miguel Stereo Radio Station”, aims to quickly and deeply clean the grooves of the vinyl record by establishing the same washing cycle for three types of discs (12 ”, 10” and 7 ”), the operating process is carried out automatically in a time of 52 seconds, at the beginning of the process the liquid distributor arm is first activated, then the roller is activated ( hourly and counterclockwise work) and finally the suction arm, thus allowing to satisfy the needs of the person requesting the machine, imposing ideas of geometric requirements for the design of the machine and complemented with bibliographic citations,. For the development of this technical project the selection of the pump, servomotors, gear calculation, stress analysis in the highest part of contact between teeth, calculation of stress acting on the transmission shaft, selection of the bearing, with the selection of the bearing was carried out. In order to apply the best options for the selection of machine elements. The time, speed and flow were the parameters established to verify the correct operation of the cleaning process, in addition, a functionality diagram was made based on the machine's operating times according to the selection of the disc type.

    Desarrollo de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo y predictivo mediante la distribución de WEIBULL para las Inyectoras horizontales de polímeros en la empresa Ingeniería Diseño de Suelas

    The present technical work is developed based on the needs of carrying an adequate preventive and predictive maintenance for the injectors of polymers in the company of "Ingenieria Diseño de Suelas", with the purpose of diminishing the times of repair produced by the failures caused in the components of the machines and thus be able to avoid the unnecessary stops in the production and in the injected of the soles of shoes. For the development of the plan, statistical data of maintenance activities previously carried out were taken, which allowed us to identify, through an AMFE matrix, the most critical components or the most prone to failures. Subsequently, with the collected data, the statistical analysis was carried out by means of the WEIBULL distribution of each injector machine, both the mathematical model and the graphic model, calculating the reliability of the data that have a 95% truthfulness, because the method WEIBULL allows to give a more relevant criterion on which position of the curve of the bathtub are the machines and the pertinent actions that must be carried out to avoid the failures. To carry out this project, NTP 331 and NTP 679 were used for the WEIBULL and AMFE analyzes respectively, after which the preventive maintenance ranges were carried out each month to keep the organized control of the same, thus avoiding unnecessary stoppages that harm the good operations of the machines.

    Diseño y construcción de un banco de pruebas para ensayos de inflamabilidad de materiales usados en la construcción de interiores de carrocerías

    The objective of this project is the design and construction of a test bench for flammability tests of materials used in the construction of bodywork interiors, for the development of the technical project the ISO 3795 standard was used, and other sources of information such as the FMVSS 302 standard, which clearly details the parameters that must be followed for the construction of the test bench. Within the development of the technical project a theoretical framework was developed according to the needs of the subject, detailing relevant topics such as the principles of fire science, materials used in the construction of body interiors, materials used for the construction of the test bench, welding and manufacturing processes for the construction of the equipment. The parameters, requirements and conditions prescribed by ISO 3795 and FMVSS 302, helped to delimit the criteria for the selection of the type of fuel to be used, the selection of the Bunsen burner that will provide the ignition source and the materials to be used in accordance to the service conditions to which the material flammability test bench will be subjected. For the correct use of the test bench it is recommended to read the operation and maintenance manuals before using the equipment, in order to contribute to the duration in excellent condition of the equipment throughout its useful life.

    Injection molding is going through for a technological transformation with trends such as: intelligent machines that are solutions that can be optimized themselves, the automation can now control virtually any industrial process, the sensor that can detect a wide range of magnitudes and the additive manufacturing that allows small productions of pieces, the elaboration of pieces of high complexity at low costs, the construction of molds, among others. The national competition has forced the company Halley Corporation to supplement its safety kit with hearing protectors, the importance of this project is that a plastic injection mold was built, contributing to the exploitation of the industry. In the present work the piece was designed in a specialized software, injection mold components were designed, feed, ejection and refrigeration systems were designed using only written bibliographies, in addition the mold components were machined with calculations based on the tools of the company. The final product obtained ratifies that the design was correct , there were no disadvantages when trying the mold and to make the assembly with the rest of the elements that make up the safety kit.

    The object of the present work is satisfy the necessity of the company Halley Corporation, with the end of do the arc pad in series in the same time with certain dimensions, for this reason the author of the work have requirements of the company for elaborate the mold, like the material that will be used for the building, and the plastic that will be used for inject the object that need the company. For this reason, the project was started with the modeling of the arc pad in a specialized software, after that we got the nucleus and cavity of the object to inject. Then with the help of the software we analyze the demoulding angles and the dimensions that need the arc pad. For other part, the calculations were obtained in based of requirements of the company like the material that will be injected, in this case the material is ABS, and the material that will used for the building of the mold Among the calculations that were obtained are the feeding, refrigeration and expulsion systems for asegurate the correct operation of the mold. For finish the project we realized machining of the arc pad with a CNC milling machine, also it was built the different elements that make up the mold. The tests of the construction of the mold were realized with the help of an injecting machine, in this moment we look that the selection of the systems were correct, because the mold had an adequate efficiency in the injection process.
