Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2020) García Sánchez, Francisco Xavier; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioThis final technical report was carried out with the purpose of designing and building a cutting machine (Shear) of steel sheets up to 1.4 mm thick in the company Ingeniería del Acero y Matricería. The Morris Asimow method was used for the design of the cutter, which is based on two phases: Planning and detailed design. The planning stage had as its main point, the selection of the properties of the machine that was designed, for the selection it was considered: the economy, maintenance, feasibility and versatility, in order to meet the cutting needs of the company Ingeniería del Acero y Matricería. The machine that met these requirements was the guillotine-type shear powered by a hydraulic system (hydraulic oil), a fixed blade and a mobile blade with an inclination angle of two degrees. Concluded the design, construction and testing, the company implemented the machine, where they were carried out: training on the use, maintenance of the machine and cutting of plates, of different materials and dimensions. Giving these last satisfactory results for the company.Item Diseño y fabricación de una matriz de embutido y corte para producir un casquillo bipolar de resistencias eléctricas industriales en la empresa Redanse S.A.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2018) Ortiz Escobar, Mario Gabriel; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioThe present technical project focuses on the design, construction and operation tests of two matrices, one for embossing and another for cutting-drilling, with the purpose of generating bipolar bushes. First the selection of the material was made according to the functionality and mechanical properties of the same to act directly with the development or template of a metal sheet, being the AISI SAE D3 steel the most suitable for the punches and matrix plates, also for the elements The ASTM A36 steel and the AISI SAE 4340 for bushings and columns were chosen. Once the material was selected, the constituent elements of the matrices were designed. Through the theoretical and analytical part, punches and plates were designed for drawing, cutting and drilling, considering parameters such as radius, clearance, number of operations, lubrication, speed of work and geometric shape, that guarantee a deep drawing avoiding the breaking of the strap and likewise a cutout of the surplus and perforation of two holes. Finally, it was mechanized by means of the wire EDM process and tests were carried out in a hydraulic press and a punch press, in order to obtain the bipolar bushing fulfilling the requirements of Redanse S.A.
