    The increase in unexpected failures in the CEPOLFI company is detrimental to production due to unexpected stoppages and unplanned downtime. The lack of detailed historical records makes it difficult to identify failure patterns and predict optimal times to perform maintenance activities, resulting in significant costs from unforeseen repairs and constant replacement of components. A preventive maintenance plan is implemented that covers the collection of data in each of the areas, recording in an inventory all the machines and equipment found, coding them according to their respective area so that they can be identified more quickly. The preparation of technical sheets for each of the machines provides information about each machine. Likewise, analysis methods such as FMEA are implemented to identify each of the most critical failures of the machine, which helps make improvement decisions. The creation of matrices with the description of the possible failures that may occur with their respective criticality evaluation provides us with the necessary information for decision making. The range of machinery and the log template for data collection were also generated. more efficient.

    Desarrollo de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo para las máquinas, equipos y sistemas del taller de innovación y desarrollo tecnológico de la Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica

    The lack of preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and systems shortens their useful life, for this reason in this technical project a preventive maintenance plan was developed for the machines of the FICM Innovation and Technological Development Workshop. In the development of the technical project, the coding of each of the machines was carried out in order to identify them quickly, the technical sheets, the general characteristics, the service conditions, the list of spare parts, the drawings, diagrams, the dimensions and tolerances, the assembly instructions, the operating instructions, etc. were also carried out. The analysis of the FMEA matrices was carried out with the help of the NTP 679 Standard, analyzing the most critical elements, which are more prone to suffer failures causing unexpected interruptions in the operation of the machines, the causes of failure, functional failures and failure effects were also analyzed. Then, the criticality matrices were carried out to identify and prioritize the most critical elements of each of the machines that need improvement. Finally, the preventive maintenance plan was developed under specialized software, in which the Logs and Maintenance Ranges of each of the machines are detailed, where it will be possible to visualize and print the technical sheets, the drawings and the monthly maintenance activities, it will also be possible to record the stop and repair times of each activity generating the curve of the bathtub.

    Desarrollo de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo, para la maquinaria del área de trituración de materiales pétreos en la empresa Jeal Construcciones

    The company does not currently have a preventive maintenance plan, so it uses a reactive approach, in which it waits for equipment to fail before proceeding to repair it. This not only generates interruptions in the company's production, but also increases the risk of occupational accidents, reduces the useful life of the equipment and generates periods of inoperability, since the machinery used in the process of crushing stone materials is important for the company's operation. This project was developed in several steps, the first one was to make an inventory of the machines belonging to the crushing area, then the critical equipment was identified and its current status was evaluated, also technical data sheets, FMEA and statistical matrices were made where the availability of the machines could be analyzed and the criticality and identification of components susceptible to failures were determined. Different ranges of maintenance were elaborated with activity guidelines with the objective of improving the performance and useful life of the machines and their components, knowing their reliability and availability; subsequently, preventive maintenance matrices were elaborated with different activities and the periodicity with which they were carried out throughout the year. Finally, fulfilling the objectives, the maintenance plan was uploaded to a specialized software, with the objective of automating maintenance tasks and improving the efficiency and productivity of its processes and personnel.

    Desarrollo de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo para las máquinas de control e inspección de calidad de la empresa Siccpetr S.A. de la ciudad del Coca

    The company SICCPETR S.A. is located in the province of Francisco de Orellana, in the city of Coca, this company is dedicated to perform quality control processes with non-destructive testing in the oil sector, to make a technical visit in the company was found to lack a record of machines, inventories and maintenance plan that does not keep a detailed record of activities and this affects the production of the same, it was necessary to collect information from the machines and equipment it owns, performing preventive maintenance to verify that most common failures exist. In this technical project, a dossier of machines was prepared, which includes an inventory and technical data sheets, reflecting the most relevant and detailed information on the company's machines and equipment. Through statistical analysis, it was determined that most of the machines are in an optimal state of operation, also with the FMEA matrix, criticality matrix, logbook and range of maintenance, it was determined, which components are the most critical to failures and the most likely to be replaced, with this information was implemented a software where a record of more detailed activities of preventive maintenance, more organized and easy to use. On the other hand, as a result, the technical note NTP 679 was of fundamental use to carry out this technical project, which will help to avoid emergent stoppages of machines and equipment, to reduce repair times and to reduce costs.

    Desarrollo de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo para las máquinas y equipos del laboratorio de investigación mecánica LIM-UTA

    The Mechanical Research Laboratory of the Technical University of Ambato LIM-UTA, is focused on the service of flammability testing of materials under the ISO 3795 standard [1]. It works under the ISO 17025 standard [2], which establishes the necessary requirements to work as a laboratory. Formed in 2019 with specialized technicians from the university, obtaining the recognition of the SAE and the designation of the MIPRO in 2021. Since its creation, only a scheduled maintenance plan has been drawn up, which does not cover the primary requirements that a preventive maintenance plan must meet [3]. In this project, a preventive maintenance plan was developed for the machines and equipment of the LIM-UTA mechanical research laboratory, based on the technical dossier according to the current documentation. The current state of the machines and equipment was established according to the Davis curve; its reliability was determined by applying the mathematical model of Weibull distribution according to NTP-331; failures and potential effects were identified by means of FMEA according to NTP-679. Finally, the plan was generated through the logs and ranges of activities, applying the criteria of the Total Productive Maintenance TPM program and delivering it to the UTA LIM for its respective approval and implementation. The elaboration of this technical project will allow LIM-UTA to develop its activities without any inconvenience or setbacks, which represent possible potential losses in legal and economic fields, both for LIM-UTA and for the Technical University of Ambato.

    Desarrollo de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo para los equipos y maquinaria de la empresa Carrocerías Altamirano de la cuidad de Ambato

    The company Carrocerias Altamirano has allowed an exhaustive analysis of the equipment and machinery used in its manufacturing and repair operations with the problem that it does not currently have a preventive maintenance model specifically designed to ensure optimum performance and prolonged useful life of its essential assets. With this idea in mind, the present research work is proposed; with the purpose of approaching a methodology of a mixed nature, since it is based on both a qualitative and quantitative model. It is essential to highlight that the creation of a model aimed at identifying the parameters for the maintenance plan of the machinery of Carrocerias Altamirano required the use of a broad bibliographic base to specify each aspect related to preventive and corrective activities within the company. Additionally, the condition of the machines was evaluated by means of the prevention technical note NTP 679, and statistical data from previous years were used to detail the availability of the machines. Once these data were analyzed, they were incorporated into the FMEA matrix to determine the priority risk number NPR, and from that perspective to obtain an estimate of reliability and availability for the application of a CMMS model. It is noteworthy that the current evaluation of the condition of the machines at Carrocerías Altamirano indicates that the vast majority of them are in semi-optimal condition and show high performance of 78 percent. This is due to their origin, age and characteristics, which allow them to operate efficiently and contribute to the company's production process.

    Desarrollo de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo para las máquinas de la empresa “Servitorno” de la ciudad de Ambato

    The company "SERVITORNO" located in the city of Ambato lacks a maintenance plan, so the machines stop working until they are repaired, due to this the production processes are delayed and the commitments acquired with the clients are affected. In this project, the most outstanding research method we applied was the field research, since we had to constantly visit the company and be in contact with the machinery under study. An inventory of the machines was made with their respective codification and the elaboration of the technical data sheets corresponding to each one of them, where the most relevant and necessary information is included. After the information was collected, the machines were diagnosed by means of a statistical analysis, in which it was determined that they are in good condition and operating with an availability of 97.69 percent. In addition, an FMEA and criticality analysis was performed to determine which elements are most prone to failures or breakdowns and thus be able to establish the activities in the maintenance ranges; this record of activities will be kept by means of specific software that allows easy management and organization of these activities. The development of this project will allow to avoid the emergent stops of the machinery, to guarantee the production processes on time and to diminish the economic losses that were generated in the company for not having a preventive maintenance plan that mitigates the unexpected failures in the machines.

    Desarrollo de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo basado en la gestión de activos, empleando la norma ISO 55000 para el taller industrial Jackson en la ciudad de Esmeraldas

    This technical project was carried out with the purpose of implementing a preventive maintenance plan for the "Jackson" industrial workshop, based on asset management, as they do not currently have one, and also to guarantee support for the workshop's assets, which is why ISO 55000 was used. In the development, the coding of the machines was carried out in order to identify them quickly and easily; technical data sheets and a study of the current maintenance situation were made, this data was represented in the statistics and analysis of the curve of the machines' bathtub, which indicates the stage the machines are in. Then, a modal analysis of failures and effects (FMEA) was carried out with the parameters established in the technical note NTP 679, where the most critical components to suffer breakdowns and that can cause an unexpected stoppage of the machines were detailed, in order to know the functional failure, the causes of failures and effects; a criticality analysis of the equipment was carried out, in order to determine the most critical components of each machine. Finally, the preventive maintenance plan was developed, using a free technological software "Microsoft Excel", where the maintenance logs of each machine were detailed, the generation of the monthly report and data; it is possible to save and print each of the generated reports, in order to manage in a faster and simpler way.

    Mantenimiento correctivo y preventivo para la cámara de acondicionamiento del Laboratorio de Investigación de Mecánica Lim-Uta de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato

    The present study focuses on the utmost importance of maintaining the conditioning chamber in optimal conditions, as it is fundamentally used to properly condition the samples used in the flammability test, ensuring with certainty and precision that they possess exactly the same properties distributed homogeneously throughout the extent of their surface. If, unfortunately, the chamber presents any unexpected breakdown or unforeseen defect, the process to carry out the test will be severely affected, causing untimely and costly equipment shutdowns and significant financial losses for the laboratory. Corrective maintenance consisted of analyzing the damaged parts or systems and providing them with the necessary repair. On the other hand, preventive maintenance will involve collecting information about the equipment and developing a plan to avoid possible failures and address them. These maintenance plans are essential to keep the machine in operation and extend its useful life since they allow for the development of technical specifications, dossiers, and having spare parts for components and maintenance procedures. As a result, it was possible to develop the dossier that detailed the generalities, operation, and maintenance of the conditioning chamber; examine the failure modes of the chamber components through a Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) matrix and a criticality matrix; furthermore, thanks to this last one, the criticality levels of the equipment components were determined; perform corrective maintenance by identifying and replacing the damaged elements; and create a preventive maintenance plan that includes daily, monthly, and yearly technical activities to prevent possible failures and breakdowns.
