Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2023-09) Estacio Betancourt, Marcel Humberto; Castro Miniguano, Christian ByronThe present study focuses on the utmost importance of maintaining the conditioning chamber in optimal conditions, as it is fundamentally used to properly condition the samples used in the flammability test, ensuring with certainty and precision that they possess exactly the same properties distributed homogeneously throughout the extent of their surface. If, unfortunately, the chamber presents any unexpected breakdown or unforeseen defect, the process to carry out the test will be severely affected, causing untimely and costly equipment shutdowns and significant financial losses for the laboratory. Corrective maintenance consisted of analyzing the damaged parts or systems and providing them with the necessary repair. On the other hand, preventive maintenance will involve collecting information about the equipment and developing a plan to avoid possible failures and address them. These maintenance plans are essential to keep the machine in operation and extend its useful life since they allow for the development of technical specifications, dossiers, and having spare parts for components and maintenance procedures. As a result, it was possible to develop the dossier that detailed the generalities, operation, and maintenance of the conditioning chamber; examine the failure modes of the chamber components through a Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) matrix and a criticality matrix; furthermore, thanks to this last one, the criticality levels of the equipment components were determined; perform corrective maintenance by identifying and replacing the damaged elements; and create a preventive maintenance plan that includes daily, monthly, and yearly technical activities to prevent possible failures and breakdowns.Item Comparación al desempeño del LIM-UTA, mediante la implementación de los requisitos técnicos que establece la norma NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 17043:2010 de interlaboratorio para la realización de ensayos de aptitud de inflamabilidad de acuerdo con la norma NTE INEN-ISO 3795(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2023-09) Alcívar Tigrero, Alexander Daniel; Goyes Balladares, Cesar Andrés; Castro Miniguano, Christian ByronThis project presents the collection of information to meet one of the requirements requested by ISO/IEC 17025:2017 with the performance of interlaboratory proficiency testing based on the standard NTE INEN/IEC 17043:2010 establishing the parameters of the standard NTE INEN-ISO 3795. In the present project, comparisons were made of the performance of the Mechanical Research Laboratory of the Technical University of Ambato (LIM-UTA) in the performance of flammability proficiency tests, following the technical requirements established by the interlaboratory standard NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 17043:2010. The main objective is the accreditation and evaluation of the competence and reliability of the laboratory in the execution of the tests according to the parameters established by NTE INEN-ISO 3795. The comparison of LIM-UTA's performance was carried out following the guidelines established in the standards used. Representative samples of flammable textile materials were selected according to NTE INEN-ISO 3795 for evaluation. These samples were distributed to different participating laboratories, including LIM-UTA, in order to carry out the flammability suitability tests. At the end of the study, a report will be submitted analyzing the deviations, discrepancies and various parameters such as accuracy and the laboratory's ability to meet the limits of the acceptability criteria required by the NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 17043:2010 standard for the proficiency testing program.Item Implementación de los requisitos técnicos que establece la norma NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 17025-2018 con la finalidad de establecer el laboratorio de investigación de la cámara de inflamabilidad vertical de la Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2020) Vallejo Sánchez, Erik Joel; Pérez Salinas, Cristian FabiánThe present technical work is based on the creation of a laboratory of vertical flammability tests in the Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Ambato. This arose from the need of body companies in the province of Tungurahua to standardize their units in compliance with current Ecuadorian regulations. Different methods were used such as the bibliographic, which is based on scientific documents that refer to the application of the NTE INEN-ISO / IEC 17025-2018, in addition to the experimental method with which the tests of the different textile materials were performed used inside the bodies. The first part of the project is about establishing the technical requirements of the standard, in which the most important are: the requirements related to resources, process requirements and management system requirements, where they refer to all the parameters that must be met to establish the Laboratory. The second part tries to create the necessary documentation, this means the procedures, records and instructions that will be handled within the laboratory facilities. All these documents were created impartially and confidentially, which will avoid problems when using them. Finally, the vertical flammability tests were carried out on five textile materials and a composite material, all of these used inside the bodies, to be able to determine the flammability index and to be able to compare their results with those established in the Ecuadorian regulations to see if its use is feasible or not.Item Análisis de las características mecánicas de un material compuesto a partir de matriz elastomérica de látex reforzado con gránulo de caucho reciclado para elaboración de pisos(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica. Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2017-08) Palacios Pérez, Franco Giovanny; Vaca Ortega, Wilson HenryThis investigation work is about analyzing the mechanic characteristics of different configurations of a compound material of elastomeric matrix of reinforced latex with granule of recycled rubber, with the purpose of obtaining a material with optimum mechanic characteristics to elaborate floors. It was generated different configurations of compound material, varying the size of the reinforcement and the volumetric composition of matrix and reinforcement. It was elaborated the standard samples, mixing the material according to the configurations and placing it in aluminum molds which help up to the vulcanization process of the samples. It was conducted the required tests for the mechanic characterization, which are: traction (NTE INEN 1165), compression (NTE INEN 889) and hardness (NTE INEN 887). The results because of the tests are tabulated, averaged, charted and compared. With the corresponding analysis it was determined that the material with the optimum mechanic characteristics for the elaboration of floors is the A3 type which owns a granule size of 0-0,841mm o Tamiz #20 and a volumetric composition of 60% matrix (latex) and 40% reinforcement (recycled granule of rubber). To this material will carry out a test of flammability (ASTM D635 -14) to know its characteristics in case of fire.
