Through the following technical project, polymer tests to be carried out at the CFPMC were increased. With the necessary research and following the specifications of the ASTM D695: 2015 standard. The objective that was fulfilled in this technical project was the design and construction of the tools for the standard method of polymer compression tests (ASTM D695: 2015). With the information obtained, the material, the design with adequate sizing, the dimensional relationship according to the accessories, the main parts and the construction characteristics for the manufacturing were determined. Finding the separation margins between parts, tolerances and surface finishes for optimal assembly. The documentation was created under NTE INEN ISO 17025: 2018. Performing tool validation tests with ASA and PLA polymers with 3D printing specimens. It was concluded that with the selection of AISI D2 material it is guaranteed that the tooling will support the maximum load that is 50 kN, producing a maximum deformation of 0.0039 mm. It was also found that the tooling complies with the provisions of section 5.3 of ASTM D695 which states that the construction of the tool must be such that the axial load is applied across surfaces that are flat and parallel to each other. , in a plane normal to the vertical load axis. Good results were obtained in the compressive strength of the polymers used, obtaining a value of 67,236 MPa for the PLA polymer and a value of 37,666 MPa for the ASA polymer.
