    Análisis de fallos y modos de fallos de los generadores térmicos de la Central Térmica LLigua de la empresa Eléctrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A. y su incidencia en la disponibilidad

    In the generation of energy by means of engines fed by a fuel, in this type of plants, the components that make it up, such as the engine and the alternator, are generally called a group. The present experimental work was developed through an investigation of internal combustion engines and synchronous alternating current generators, with the aim of analyzing the availability of the machines through failure analysis and failure modes (AMFE) in the main components, taking Weibull's mathematical method and graphic model as one of the main parameters where the reliability of the components is analyzed using Technical Note NTP 331, in the criticality analysis the most critical elements were determined using Technical Note NTP 679, the same data that served to carry out a statistical model with tests that accept or reject the hypothesis, and through investigations, proformas, some acquisition costs in engine components were determined. Through the analyzes carried out, it is determined that the motors are in a stage III of increasing failures, demonstrating that the failures and failure modes affect the availability of the thermal generators of the Lligua Thermal Power Plant belonging to the Central North Regional Ambato Electric Company S.A.
