    Diseño y construcción del prototipo de un sistema de propulsión por chorro de agua para la empresa Fuera de Borda, en la ciudad de Puyo en la provincia de Pastaza

    The objective of this project is to design and construct a prototype of a machine capable of pushing a boat that navigates in rivers, in places where the flow of the river prevents the use of outboard propeller thrust systems, for the Fuera de Borda Company. In order to achieve the objective, the water jet propulsion system for vessels was analyzed. For the design of the system components, mechanical design equations as well as fluid mechanics theory were used; the values of the inlet and outlet piping diameters were obtained as well as the pressure, flow and power head required by the Propeller pump axial flow. The prototype of the jet propulsion system is made of metal plate for the ducts, nozzle and diffuser, taking into account that it must be removable in addition to considering certain parameters of operation of the machine as a greater speed of the boat than with an Outboard propeller. The thrust force is generated by the pump with the flow rate and the output velocity of the fluid.
