Item Análisis comparativo de la evolución del desgaste de las herramientas de corte en procesos de fresado del acero AISI 304 lubricados mediante inundación y nanocriomecanizado(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2024-02) González Jiménez, Juan José; Núñez Núñez, Diego FernandoDue to the environmental and operator health problems caused by water emulsion coolants in the machining area, combined with the low useful life of cutting tools in milling processes, it has become necessary to study new environmentally friendly alternatives. The present research focuses on the study of the effect of a hybrid lubrication method, which involves the use of the MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubricant) technique with the addition of nanoparticles in combination with a cryogenic fluid, on the flank wear of cutting tools in face milling processes of AISI 304 stainless steel. The experiments were carried out using a semi-finishing process on a CNC milling machine; carbide cutting inserts with PVD-TiAlN coating were used; the MQL system worked with biodegradable oil Unist Coolube 2210XP with Titanium Oxide nanoparticles prepared at 0.5 weight percent and the cryogenic system with Carbon Dioxide in liquid and gas phase. The machining parameters were: cutting speed of 190 and 270 m/min, feed rate of 0.1 mm/tooth, axial depth of 0.3 mm. The measurements were performed through a scanning electron microscope and evaluated using the ISO 8688-1: 1989 standard under normal wear criteria. The results obtained in this experimental work indicate an increase in cutting tool life for the speed of 190 m/min and 270 m/min by 85.35 and 230.60 percent respectively.
