Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2024-08) Acosta Nuñez, Joao Alexander; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioCurrently, agricultural work after harvesting products is carried out in a rustic manner, which requires adopting postures and making movements that cause discomfort to the health of the people who carry out these activities. The present research covers the design and construction of a kidney tomato box turning machine; part of the demands and characteristics that the machine must meet, generating and an analysis of each of the elements was carried out, which represents a detailed study on the efforts present in the different stages of the machine, originating the development of a mechanism to turn the wooden boxes together with a complementary station that allowed the turned product to be contained, at the same time making it possible for workers to perform different tasks and culminating in a product collection system that is directed towards a certain container, all this applying engineering knowledge in the areas of design, selection of materials, analysis of mechanisms and structure. The design process has been meticulous, ranging from initial conceptualization to the implementation of practical tests to ensure optimal operation. Emphasis has been placed on the optimization of resources, safety in their operation and adaptability to various applications within the productive system in the agricultural area. The results obtained have been promising, demonstrating the machine's potential to improve productivity, reduce costs and minimize product damage in production processes. This project helped the implementation of machinery to the productive agricultural sector of the place.
