Item Business intelligence mediante herramientas full stack en la generación y análisis de informes gerenciales en el área comercial de la empresa Eléctrica Ambato S.A.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información.This research presents the design and implementation of a full-stack Business Intelligence platform aimed at consolidating, analyzing, and visualizing commercial information related to billing, revenue collection, and portfolio management at Empresa Eléctrica Ambato S.A. (EEASA). The initial assessment identified significant limitations in the existing operational model, including a high dependence on manual processes, fragmented data integration, and limited flexibility of reporting tools, which hindered timely and reliable access to information for institutional decision-making. Surveys conducted among operational staff and an interview with the Head of the IT Department highlighted issues such as delays in monthly report generation, high operational workload, and the absence of consolidated historical data. In response, a technological solution was developed using Angular for the user interface, Node.js and Express for the service layer, and Oracle Database 19c as the central data repository, supported by Business Intelligence tools for data processing and analysis. The implementation reduced report generation times from several days to a few minutes, improved data consistency through the consolidation of historical records, and optimized at least four key commercial processes: billing, revenue collection, portfolio management, and subsidy analysis. As a result, the platform enhanced operational efficiency and strengthened decision-making processes within EEASA’s Commercial Area.Item Implementación de un módulo web con tecnología Java EE y Angular para la gestión de roles de usuarios del sistema satélite SAP en la Empresa Eléctrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A (EEASA)(2025-07) Reinoso Atan Edgar Jefferson; Mayorga Mayorga Franklin Oswaldo; Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Tecnologías de la InformaciónThis research focuses on the design and implementation of a web-based module utilizing Java EE and Angular technologies to enhance the user role management process within the SAP Satellite System at Empresa Eléctrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A. (EEASA). The project arises from the need to modernize a process that, until now, was predominantly manual, leading to recurrent issues such as delayed access provisioning, inconsistent role definitions, and limited traceability. By applying both quantitative and qualitative research methods—including user surveys and an in-depth interview with the SAP system administrator—significant operational inefficiencies were identified, particularly related to the absence of standardized procedures and interdepartmental coordination. The developed module addresses these gaps through automation of role request workflows, integration of validation logic, and the implementation of a centralized repository for audit and control. The solution leverages the robustness of Java EE for backend operations and the flexibility of Angular for a dynamic and responsive user interface. These technologies allowed the creation of a scalable, secure, and user-friendly system that significantly reduces role assignment times—from approximately 48 hours to just minutes. Furthermore, the use of the SCRUM methodology ensured a structured development cycle with iterative deliverables and real-time feedback, enabling the team to adapt to technical and organizational challenges throughout the project. The final product not only improves efficiency and system integrity but also sets a foundation for replicating similar solutions in other administrative processes. This work highlights the strategic value of integrating modern web technologies with enterprise platforms such as SAP to achieve digital transformation within regulated sectors.Item Sistema web para reportes de cartera, recaudación y facturación en el departamento comercial de la Empresa Electrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A.(2025-07) López Peña Franklin Joel; Núñez Miranda Carlos Israel; Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Tecnologías de la InformaciónThis project presents the design and implementation of a web system for generating portfolio, collection, and billing reports in the Commercial Department of Empresa Eléctrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A. The need for this solution arises from the limitations of the current process, which is mostly manual, time-consuming, and error-prone, requiring significant effort from staff to consolidate the necessary information. Although tools such as SAP BO are available, they do not fully meet the operational needs of the company, leading to the frequent use of spreadsheets and legacy systems. Through a staff survey and an interview with the Head of the IT Department, key issues were identified, such as lack of automation, report delays, and workload burden. Based on this, a technological solution was developed using Angular for the frontend, Java EE and EJB for business logic, Oracle 19c as the database system, and Apache Maven for project management. The development followed the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology, supported by Kanban practices to organize workflow. The proposed solution aims to optimize processing time, improve the accuracy of reports, and facilitate decision-making. This system enhances the company's operational efficiency through a modern, scalable, and adaptable tool aligned with its growing technological demands.Item Aplicación web utilizando el Framework Angular con NESTJS para la gestión de recursos humanos en la “Unidad Educativa Rumiñahui” en Ambato(2025-07) Castillo Villacrés Gino Martín; Mayorga Mayorga Franklin Oswaldo; Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Tecnologías de la InformaciónThe efficient management of personnel information is a fundamental challenge in educational administration. In the Rumiñahui Educational Unit, located in Ambato, manual processes and the use of spreadsheets have generated difficulties for the agile access to data, affecting decision making and the generation of reports. In response to this problem, the development of a web application based on Angular and NestJS was proposed, with the objective of optimizing human resources management, centralizing information and improving administrative efficiency. The research adopted a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Direct observation of current processes, interviews with administrative staff, and surveys of faculty and staff were conducted to assess their needs and perceptions of data management. In addition, the development of the system was carried out using the agile Extreme Programming (XP) methodology, allowing for an iterative and adaptive implementation. As a result, a platform was designed and developed that centralizes personnel information, improves data updating and reduces inconsistencies. It was integrated with biometric systems for attendance management and a functionality for automatic generation of resumes and reports in PDF and Excel formats was implemented. The evaluation of the system showed a significant reduction in consultation and update times, improving operational efficiency. It is concluded that the implementation of web technologies allows optimizing human resources management in educational institutions, reducing administrative times and improving information accessibility. It is recommended that the application be expanded to other administrative levels and that additional improvements be explored, such as integration with government systems and advanced document management modules.Item Aplicativo web para la gestión de especies con visualización en 3d del herbario Misael Acosta Solis (AMAS) de la Universidad Técnica de “Ambato”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Botany uses thousands of data in a series of research studies, secure of data is a mandatory requirement. Every record needs to be correctly registered, an incorrect record could be critical when starting a new study. The main porpose of this study project is to build a web application focused on information management. This includes security protocols, correct data organization and dynamic presentation of data. The development technique used in this project took the strengths of agile XP methodology, enabling continuous software deliveries to the customer over the building of the web system. Carrera de Tecnologías de la InformaciónCurrently, both public and private institutions manage a large volume of documents for internal and external communication daily. However, one of the main challenges is the lack of traceability, which hinders the tracking, access, and efficient management of information. For this reason, the objective of this project is to implement a web application using the Angular framework for document management in the Administrative Area of Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Chibuleo Ltda. To address this problem, an applied research was carried out to identify the needs of the area and define the functional requirements of the system. The developed solution uses Angular for the creation of the frontend and .NET for the construction of the backend. In addition, the Lean Software Development methodology was applied, which allowed an agile development and incremental deliveries with a focus on quality in each phase. The implementation of the system generated significant improvements in the Cooperative's document management. Among the main results are the reduction of time in administrative processes, the increase in productivity and the guarantee of transparency in document management. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2024-08) Ases Villacís, Jairo Mauricio; Aldás Flores, Clay FernandoOver time, commerce has experienced accelerated growth, which has generated a global expansion of supermarkets. due to their high competition, their main objective is the customer experience. This study addresses one of the most common challenges in the supermarket checkout process, specifically in handling unlabeled products. Therefore, applied research has been used, combining surveys of cashier staff and a sample of customers to collect information and opinions, in order to identify perceptions and possible improvements, while the assistance of the staff in generating their barcode when it is presented in a purchase, which customer discomfort and even lead to lost sales. The project materializes as a mobile application for Android devices, built-in Kotlin using Jetpack Compose. This application was also guided by the 5 phases of the Mobile-d methodology, developed with an API-Rest from Nodejs and an administrative panel in the Angular framework. Finally, the project has successfully culminated with the implementation of an innovative solution. Through a search accompanied by images for easy identification. For this reason, foundations committed to this noble cause promote responsible care of animals, placing significant emphasis on ensuring their well-being and fostering responsible practices in their care and adoption. In this context, however, one of the limitations faced by these foundations is the limited access to technological tools that would allow them to effectively manage information related to their activities. The lack of technological resources can hinder the coordination of rescues, adoptions, and volunteer work, as well as the detailed monitoring of the health and individual needs of the animals under their care. The present research project was conceived with the aim of developing a web application designed to assist the Paquito Animal Rescue Foundation. This web application enables the management of processes involved in rescue activities, adoption, volunteering, and the reception of monetary donations. In the development of the application, the decision was made to apply the XP methodology with the goal of adapting flexibly to changes that may arise in the application. For the development of the Frontend and user interface, Angular technology was employed, while the backend was built with the .NET Core framework, including a Rest API that contains the methods used by the application. For this reason, Ambabus proposes to be at the forefront through the development and implementation of an innovative web application. The main objective is to optimize the company's sales process, taking advantage of technological tools, in order to improve the customer experience. The web application was developed with technologies such as: Angular, Laravel and Bootstrap, and It follows the XP methodology to guarantee an agile development and user friendly. It also integrates with a MySQL database, that provides a robust platform to manage key information of customers, buses and sales. On the other hand, the central focus of the application is to optimize sales process time. It means that it seeks to reduce waiting times and improv the comprehensive management of clients and sales. In this way, the customer is allowed to virtually explore the buses before physically visiting the company, offering them a unique experience supporte d by virtual reality technology. Booking management is simplified through the app, with the ability to send email notifications after a customer books a bus. This component adds a level of coexistence for both clients and company staff, which facilitates an effective and timely communication. The choice of modern technologies and the adoption of agile development practices reflect the company's commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. As the company experiences continuous growth, inventory management becomes increasingly complex. The variation in products, suppliers, and locations requires a more advanced approach than conventional methods based on spreadsheets or manual systems. This project aligns with the research line in Information Technologies and Control Systems, aiming to implement a web application for inventory management using an Open Source framework at the "Pil's Autorepuestos" warehouse. The goal is to automate manual inventory management processes, incorporate administrative roles to improve spare parts traceability, and contribute significantly to decision-making. The Extreme Programming (XP) methodology is employed for planning, design, coding, and testing of the product, facilitating efficient supervision of deliverables at each stage of the process, ensuring compliance with the requirements defined by the warehouse manager. The application is structured into three key components: a robust and secure SQL Server database for information management, a backend developed in .NET Core using Entity Framework to provide a scalable and modular architecture, and a frontend implemented with Angular due to its modular structure. Bootstrap, along with the AdminLTE template, was used for design.
