Item COMPOSICIÓN CORPORAL, CRONOTIPO Y RIESGO DE DESARROLLAR DIABETES TIPO II SEGÚN EL TEST FINDRISC EN DOCENTES UNIVERSITARIOS(2025-10-06) Jimenez Sigcha Heidy Anabel; Constanza Michelle Parreño Freire; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de Nutrición y DietéticaBody composition and chronotype are key factors that can significantly influence the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, a chronic disease characterized by insulin resistance and elevated blood glucose levels, which poses a global public health concern. This study, conducted with faculty members from the Health Sciences Faculty at the Technical University of Ambato (UTA), aims to analyze the relationship between these factors and the risk of developing the disease, using the FINDRISC test as an evaluation tool. Understanding how body composition and chronotype patterns impact this risk is essential for the early identification of vulnerable individuals and the promotion of effective preventive strategies. This initiative aims not only to improve the participants' quality of life but also to contribute to reducing the incidence of this condition within the community.
