| dc.description | El comportamiento social y el uso de dispositivos digitales en estudiantes de bachillerato en Ecuador es un tema de interés y relevancia. Los jóvenes en esta etapa educativa están cada vez inmersos en el mundo digital, utilizando celulares y computadoras no solo para el entretenimiento, sino también para la comunicación y aprendizaje. La interacción con la tecnología influye significativamente en patrones de comportamiento social, afectando desde la forma en que se relacionan con compañeros hasta cómo se maneja el tiempo y atención. Los dispositivos ofrecen numerosas oportunidades educativas y conexión social; además, presentan desafíos como la exposición a la desinformación, ciberacoso y dependencia tecnológica. En la investigación se identifica la necesidad de comprender cómo estos elementos interactúan y afectan el desarrollo de la personalidad y conductas del adolescente. El objetivo fue indagar dicha relación mediante un enfoque cuantitativo, desarrollando una encuesta estructurada y una observación directa como técnicas de recolección de datos. Se trabajó un diseño descriptivo y correlacional enfocado en caracterizar fenómenos y establecer relaciones entre relaciones entre redes sociales y el comportamiento. Los datos fueron tomados de estudiantes de segundo y tercer año de bachillerato de una Unidad Educativa en Cotopaxi - Ecuador; a su vez, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica exhaustiva para contextualizar teóricamente la investigación y verificar la realidad estudiantil. Los resultados revelan patrones significativos del uso de dispositivos digitales, destacando cómo estos afectan el comportamiento social y percepción del entorno; además, se evidencia una alta dependencia de los dispositivos digitales, Internet y redes sociales. Se identifica una correlación entre el uso intensivo de dispositivos y ciertos comportamientos sociales específicos. Se destaca la importancia de comprender las dinámicas entre el uso de dispositivos digitales y el desarrollo del comportamiento social de los adolescentes, subrayando la necesidad de estrategias educativas y sociales que promuevan un uso responsable y equilibrado de la tecnología entre los estudiantes de secundaria, formulando un protocolo para apoyar al problema de estudio. La investigación apoya el proyecto de investigación aprobado mediante resolución FJCS-CDRES. | dc.description.abstract | Social behavior and the use of digital devices in high school students in Ecuador is a topic of interest and relevance. Young people in this educational stage are increasingly immersed in the digital world, using cell phones and computers not only for entertainment, but also for communication and learning. Interaction with technology significantly influences patterns of social behavior, affecting everything from the way they relate to peers to how time and attention are managed. Devices offer numerous educational opportunities and social connection; In addition, they present challenges such as exposure to misinformation, cyberbullying, and technological dependency. Research identifies the need to understand how these elements interact and affect the development of the adolescent's personality and behaviors. The objective was to investigate this relationship through a quantitative approach, developing a structured survey and direct observation as data collection techniques. A descriptive and correlational design was worked on, focused on characterizing phenomena and establishing relationships between relationships between social networks and behavior. The data were taken from second and third year high school students from an Educational Unit Cotopaxi - Ecuador; At the same time, an exhaustive bibliographic review was carried out to theoretically contextualize the research and verify the student reality. Results reveal significant patterns of digital device use, highlighting how these affect social behavior and perception of the environment; In addition, a high dependence on digital devices, the Internet and social networks is evident. A correlation is identified between intensive device use and certain specific social behaviors. The importance of understanding the dynamics between the use of digital devices and the development of social behavior of adolescents is highlighted, underlining the need for educational and social strategies that promote responsible and balanced use of technology among high school students, formulating a protocol to support the study problem.
