Item Gestión de la comunicación y el manejo de situaciones de crisis en el hospital Solca Núcleo de Tungurahua de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Comunicación, 2025-03-05) Mazaquiza Melgar, Tannia Elizabeth; Guamán Guadalima, Nelly GabrielaThe management of communication and the handling of crisis situations is key for institutions and even more so in health institutions such as the Hospital Solca Núcleo de Tungurahua, because it allows the institution to respond quickly, minimize the impact and scope of the message in crisis situations, demonstrating an environment of transparency and empathy, in addition to maintaining trust it creates a connection between the institution and the users, who place in the hands of the institution and its staff not only their health but also their trust. The objective of this research is to determine how the Hospital Solca Núcleo de Tungurahua handles crisis situations through communication. As this is an institution that provides health services, it is necessary that crisis communication be handled effectively in order to maintain a positive perception of the organization and strengthen the commitment to patients. The present research work has two approaches: qualitative and quantitative, for this, various data collection techniques were used such as the questionnaire applied to 359 users of the Hospital Solca Núcleo de Tungurahua, the interview with the communication coordinator and the content analysis of the publications of the Fanpage of the Hospital on the social network Facebook to obtain a deeper view on the object of study, this allows addressing both the perception of users and institutional communication strategies. The results we obtained through the techniques applied indicate that, the hospital has not yet faced a crisis situation that puts the image and reputation of the institution at risk, it is believed important the creation of the communication plan, to prevent the crisis. In addition, a lack of training of the institution's employees was identified so that in times of crisis they can act as spokespersons who can mitigate the impact and scope of the crisis.Item La responsabilidad social y la calidad de vida en adultos mayores. That is why the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito OSCUS Cía. Ltda., and its axis of social management towards the elderly members of the institution. That is why the objective of the research was to determine the influence of Social Responsibility on the quality of life of the elderly. For this, the level of compliance of the Social Responsibility programs executed with the Cooperative was identified. Subsequently, the level of quality of life of the older adult members was diagnosed. Likewise, the level of influence of social responsibility on the quality of life of the elderly was determined. The method applied was quantitative and descriptive, since a survey was applied to 376 members of the vulnerable group. The evaluation axes for social responsibility were economic responsibility, legal responsibility, ethical responsibility, philanthropic responsibility. While, for the quality of life, the dimensions were physical health, psychological health, leisure, environment, and economics. The findings revealed that 54% of those surveyed assured that the COAC does not have a budget to carry out social work activities towards the community, for this reason, they assure that the principle of social responsibility imposed by the Secretary of the Economy is not being complied with. The percentage of older people immersed in technology is very low, sometimes this happens due to fear and ignorance of how to use the communication tools that the Internet offers us, for this reason, it is important to consider this issue to increase physical, mental and Social. This study is descriptive and correlational, with 50 older adults, and its objective is to determine the impact of the use of social networks on active aging in the Association of Retirees, Pensioners and Retirees of the Pujilí Canton. For the execution of the research, a methodology with a quantitative approach was used, based on the instruments validated by the Internet survey in the Elderly (INMA) with 9 items and with the questionnaire called Successful Active Aging Inventory (SAI) with a total of 20 items with a Likert scale from 0 to 4, where the measures of active aging score from 0 to 80 points. Childhood is the baseline to build and continue building up a good life quality. In this process multiple factors are converging to lead to a particular way of being a child and teenager with their own problems and expectations derived from the contexts in which they build their biographies. A mainly quantitative and qualitative methodology was used to carry out this research. Through this research it was possible to determinate data and positive-negative qualities that allowed to review the quality of life and its impact on the NNA. A previously validated survey created by PAHO and WHO was used as an instrument. The quality of life results of this research do not respond to deprivation, deprivation or unsatisfied basic needs, which are one of the marginal ways of measuring life. This would only have perpetuated the phenomenon of poverty. On the contrary, it was analyzed from an objective focus, how these particularities of different situations respond to historical and social processes. From a multidimensional approach it has been found that, even with all the economic, health, social and cultural constraints, these cannot be considered as the only explanatory factor. For the research we worked with twenty old men that are deprived of freedom in CPL Tungurahua N°1, that is the unique jail near the area, the information was analyzed with a mixed method, for the qualitative area we consider the documentation provided by the area of Social Work and life stories of the researched population, while for the quantitative area we reformulate the inquest “ Sabe I” and the inquest “ Adultos Mayores” that gave us information about: general data, current health status and information about the interaction between the medical department of the CPL and the group of study. The hypothesis testing was able to demonstrate that there is no correlation between family relationships and the health of elderly people that are deprived of freedom, despite of this, be determine that research variables are necessary to reach a right social rehabilitation.Item Estudio socioeconómico de las familias en la organización Salem International(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2021-11) Orozco Gutiérrez, Johana Mishell; Balseca Basantes, Jeanneth ElizabethThe objective of this study was to determine the socioeconomic situation of the families in the organization SALEM International, with a sample of 18 families, a total of 87 people, and in order to measure the efficiency of the process carried out by the organization to address the social problems of the parish of Mindo, we worked with 18 external families, 74 people. The research had a quantitative approach where the tool used was the survey, which allowed gathering information on several dimensions such as: origin, priority attention groups, education, health, work, housing, household dynamics, violence, economy, and food. The results obtained showed that the socioeconomic conditions of the families that attend the organization on a daily basis have a higher percentage of needs than those of the Mindeña community and that the social-technical support, together with the family commitment, turns out to be timely when it comes to transforming and improving the usual way of developing in a given context where education is low, the salary is less than the basic wage and domestic violence is high.Item Desempleo y calidad de vida en las familias de los estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa Intercultural Bilingue Toalombo de Ambato durante tiempos de Covid-19(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2021-10) Tirado Paredes, Jean Pierre; Paredes Ruiz, Teresa de JesusABSTRACT: The research encloses the variables unemployment and life quality of the families of the students in the Unidad Educativa Intercultural Bilingüe Tamboloma during times of COVID-19. The purpose of the research is to determine the influence of unemployment on the life quality of the families of the students in the Unidad Educativa Intercultural Bilingüe Tamboloma of Ambato during times of COVID-19, where the main problem is the increase in unemployment as a consequence of the social phenomenon COVID-19. Likewise, social worker action has great importance to give resolution to the problems and manage resources in order to contribute to the satisfaction of the needs and recover the well-being of the family members. Methodology, the exploration submits a mixed approach with an analytical synthetic and hypothetical - deductive method, with a descriptive and correlational level since it was based on the collection of information through the survey technique using a semi-structured instrument to analyze how present the variables and their corresponding relationship. In a nutshell, it was discovered that the life quality is affected by unemployment mainly in family economic resources incomes, which do not allow them to satisfy their needs. Results, unemployment causes damage in the objective and subjective area of the family members life quality, then, it affects life satisfaction, productivity, personal relationships and health (emotional and psychological), consequently it gave rise to a situation of poverty in home. An alternative solution was proposed regarding the creation of enterprises to solve the problems found in this study.Item Calidad de vida del adulto mayor del cantón Tisaleo de la Provincia de Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2021-03) Martínez Andrade, Gabriela Milena; Paredes Ruiz, Teresa de JesusThe quality of life in the elderly is made up of objective and subjective factors, showing well-being in these is a challenge; Thus, the main objective of this research is to diagnose the quality of life of the elderly in the canton of Tisaleo in four fundamental aspects: material conditions, health, leisure and social relationships and general life experience. The methodology was of a mixed nature: Quali quantitative. Qualitative due to the creation of a qualitative assessment tool based on semistructured oral interviews due to the profile of the respondents, adapted to the community context and based on the quality of life indicators of the Ministry of Spain; and Quantitative because the responses from the oral interviews were coded into numerical segments for a quantitative measurement. Studies on the quality of life in the elderly allow to conclude that the material and economic conditions of this group are limited, with significant housing deficiencies; the health determinants were a negative self-assessment of their health status due to the occurrence of diseases, poor quality health care and limited access to medicines, as well as the influence of a diet lacking in quality and quantity. The existence of a good relationship with the informal networks of the elderly and a favorable recreation and use of free time is highlighted; however, satisfaction with their general life experience or subjective wellbeing is negative, despite the fact that most of them live with others, with feelings of loneliness and sadness standing out in a quarter of the population.Item Alcoholismo y la calidad de vida de usuarios del servicio ambulatorio intensivo del centro de salud n°1 de la ciudad de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Methodology. To carry out this research, a qualitative approach is considered, through the application of interviews and the recording of life stories to better understand the research problem. And it is best known and diagnosed nowadays. This disorder has taken importance because the OMS has aimed as an occupational hazard. This condition usually involves to the professionals who demand a direct contact with the people and they have Humanistic ethic of work; but unfortunately it not only affects to the staff who suffers it; but also to the users. In the job, the productivity is created for the occupational performance, which is the correlation among the objectives, goals and the time has needed to achieve it; The most important variable are the people; that is to say the human resource, who are uncharged to do the owned functions in a specific work. The performance at work is often related with strategies, trainings, remunerations and the environment. A person who has knowledge, receive precise instructions, It is well-paying and also works in a friendly atmosphere. Probably, this kind of worker will have a high job performance to difference to a worker underpaid, without education and who works in an unpleasant environment. The Burnout disorder can be well operated for all the people who works in the health field if they were instruct and prevent about it. Besides teaching them How to tolerate and get rid of all those circumstances which generate emotions with themselves or other people. (Managers, colleagues, nurses, and friends etc.).So that their occupational performance always be optimum and so avoid this disorder called “burned”.
