Item Habilidades sociales en estudiantes universitarios(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2025-02-20) Benítez Arroba, Belén Estefanía; Balseca Basantes, JeannethSoft skills in college students are fundamental to their academic and personal development. These skills include the ability to communicate effectively, work in teams, manage conflicts and develop healthy interpersonal relationships. In the university context, students must learn to interact with peers, professors and other members of the educational community, which allows them to improve their adaptation to the social and work environment. Empathy, active listening and assertiveness are essential to strengthen these skills. Regarding the methodology, a quantitative approach of exploratory-descriptive level was used, with a design based on deductive and analytical-synthetic methods. An instrument previously validated by Goldstein (2018) was applied, which allowed the collection of relevant information on the social skills of undergraduate students of the Social Work Career, the procedures for data collection and analysis were described in detail. The results obtained reveal that students present a deficient level in general social skills, with significant weaknesses in advanced skills such as expression of feelings and strategic planning in social interactions. Finally, the results and discussion focus on identifying and analyzing areas for improvement, highlighting the need to reinforce advanced social skills in the curriculum of social work students. It is suggested that such deficiencies could negatively impact their future professional performance. Conclusions highlight the importance of implementing training strategies that strengthen interpersonal competencies, and recommendations are proposed for educational institutions, public policies and future research.Item Body shaming y las relaciones interpersonales en adolescentes(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2024-08) Morales Aponte, Luz María; Chiliquinga Vejar, Lorena del CarmenBody shaming is a relatively new phenomenon present in the digital world, enhanced by the rise of technology and social networks, it consists of the act of shaming another for their body or physical appearance through negative comments or criticisms towards another person, a problem that has been socially normalized, although this phenomenon has not yet been investigated in the Ecuadorian context, it does not mean that it does not occur among adolescents, because they are the ones who are most exposed to these technological social phenomena, the impact of their The practice may not influence your interpersonal relationships, but it does influence your physical and psychological well-being, putting your integrity and quality of life at risk.The objective of the research is to determine the influence of body shaming on the interpersonal relationships of adolescent students of the “Pelileo” Educational Unit Tungurahua- Ecuador; The research has a quantitative approach of an exploratory, descriptive and correlational nature, working with a population sample of 173 adolescent students between the ages of 15 and 18. To study the independent variable, the Zulkifli et al. questionnaire was used. (2023), composed of two sections that make up 19 items; On the other hand, to study the dependent variable, the Casapía Interpersonal Relations questionnaire (2019) was used, composed of 4 dimensions, making up 32 questions; Both instruments demonstrate reliability and validity. The results obtained determined that body shaming does not influence the interpersonal relationships of adolescents, the instruments also revealed the moderate perception of the phenomenon in their body image, the adolescents' manifestations about the types of shame, implications and opinions about body shaming. shaming, in addition, interpersonal relationships are located at a medium level with the majority representing good management of social, communication and social interaction skills. The objective of the research is to determine the relationship between ghosting and the social skills of adolescents from the "Ambato" TungurahuaEcuador Educational Unit, the quantitative and exploratory, descriptive study and conclusions will be developed with 310 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17, to analyze the independent variable, an instrument with two dimensions (ghosted and ghoster) composed of 26 elements was designed, which was validated by the expert judgment method and its reliability with the alpha of Cronbach, while for the study of the dependent variable the Social Skills Scale (EHS) of Elena Gismero was obtained. The social relations contribute to the growth of the human being’s identity. The individual that hasn’t relation to a social group ruins its own personality. Social relations are regulated in form of obligatory rules. They are accepted by the entirety of the society that also defines and determinates the rights and obligations with the aim to orient the individual how to act in an adequate way. The social abilities are the amount of the manners of behavior which the individual principally attains by social learning. The behaviors are practiced with the intention to construct relations with the individual’s environment. While the same tries to achieve a coexistence of wellbeing and living in harmony. The absence of social abilities can evoke a social isolation. The mentioned coexistence refers to the result of living in companionship with other people, basing on a fundamental relation in human dignity and peace and focusing on the appropriate dealing with conflicts which allow the consecution of common wellbeing. The present investigation is based on the social relations and coexistence of the children and adolescents at the Foundation “Proyecto Salesiano Granja Don Bosco Ambato” that do not have any manual for a cohabitation that guarantees the accomplishment of rights and facilitates the harmonic coexistence which the Salesiana educational proposition tries to achieve.
