    El Trabajo Social y el envejecimiento saludable en adultos mayores

    The research called, social work and healthy aging in older adults is developed in four chapters, the first chapter presents an absolute review of the literature on healthy aging, social work and their interrelation, here concepts such as active aging are addressed. , quality of life in old age, factors that influence the well-being of older people and the role of social work in promoting healthy aging. Chapter 2, regarding the methodological framework, describes the methodology used to carry out the research, details the type of study, the target population, the data collection instruments and the data analysis procedure, chapter 3 describes the results and discussion of the research, includes findings on the factors that contribute to healthy aging in older adults and the role of social work in promoting these factors, the results are discussed in the context of the theoretical framework and implications for practice are highlighted of social work. In addition, Chapter 4 includes the main conclusions and recommendations of the research, makes recommendations for social work practice, public policy and future research, emphasizing the importance of social work in promoting healthy aging and suggests strategies for strengthen the intervention of social work in this area.

    Uso de Redes Sociales y Envejecimiento Activo

    We live in a world where the use of social networks is essential, but in the case of older adults, it helps promote active aging by staying socially active, reducing social isolation. The percentage of older people immersed in technology is very low, sometimes this happens due to fear and ignorance of how to use the communication tools that the Internet offers us, for this reason, it is important to consider this issue to increase physical, mental and Social. This study is descriptive and correlational, with 50 older adults, and its objective is to determine the impact of the use of social networks on active aging in the Association of Retirees, Pensioners and Retirees of the Pujilí Canton. For the execution of the research, a methodology with a quantitative approach was used, based on the instruments validated by the Internet survey in the Elderly (INMA) with 9 items and with the questionnaire called Successful Active Aging Inventory (SAI) with a total of 20 items with a Likert scale from 0 to 4, where the measures of active aging score from 0 to 80 points. The research findings are that, if the use of social networks influences the active aging of the older adult population because they are in an adaptation to the digital age, so a possible proposal should be considered as the creation of digital literacy programs allowing the object of study to be the main actor for the improvement of the use of technology

    Red de apoyo social del adulto mayor y envejecimiento activo durante la emergencia sanitaria por Covid-19

    This study had the purpose to determine the influence of social support networks on the active aging of older adults during the sanitary emergency for Covid-19 at San Buenaventura parish in Latacunga. The methodology used was mixed quali-quantitative, it was worked with a stratified sample by age and sex of 108 older adults and 14 interviewees. Validated questioners were applied to measure the principals' social support networks, social support level received, and active aging. It concludes the existence of the influence of the social support network of older adults into the active aging during the sanitary emergency for Covid 19 obtaining a moderate positive correlation of 0.695. the principal social support network is the informal where emphasize the family, the secondary network of religious groups, and the absence of a formal support network. Related to the perception of the social support is determined like appropriate, emotional support presents best values, regarding the sex variable was demonstrated that the woman presents better results however the differences are minimal concerning man. To the age range, the results are biggest at the beginning of old age, as for the active aging is determined as adequate, the health control factor presents better results because of Covid 19 emergency. The results also explain that woman and older adults between 65 to 75 years old shows a better rate of active aging.

    Emprendimiento social y envejecimiento activo de los adultos Mayores en Salinas de Guaranda –Provincia Bolívar

    The research topic presented is: "SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND ACTIVE AGING OF OLDER ADULTS IN SALINAS. Active aging in older adults, today is a major issue because you can prevent certain diseases that are accompanied in old age, considering that you must start in adulthood and thus create a lifestyle. The research compares active aging with two study groups that are, the Older Adults of the Gerontology Center "Tierno Despertar" that do the activity of social entrepreneurship, and older adults who do not attend any support group of the community and are engaged in the work of agriculture or sale of other products in the area, in total there are 84 older adults. It also considers the activities that take place in the Gerontological Center "Tierno Despertar" the same that is worked based on the Technical Standard for the implementation and provision of gerontological services and the importance of active aging in particular in an area of Bolivar Province, because it is evident that there is a professional and empirical aging. The unknown to be solved is how Social Entrepreneurship Influences the Active Aging of Older Adults.? The line of research is about exclusion and social integration, quantitative methodology was used with the application of a questionnaire that measures active aging, the same that was validated by a group of experts. As a proposal for the inclusion of the Elderly of the Community is to work with the application of the dimensions: physical, social and mental through management with several support groups located in the Bolivar Province and with the transversal axis that is the family.
