Item La identidad y salud mental en niños, niñas y adolescentes(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2026-07-09) Lema Lema, Mayuri Nicole; Pino Loza, Eulalia DoloresThis research focused on analyzing identity and its impact on the mental health of children and adolescents at the "General Rumiñahui" Educational Unit. The study arose from the identification of problems evidenced in the data obtained, which revealed manifestations of insecurity, difficulties in self-perception, doubts about personal abilities, emotional vulnerability, and the presence of emotions associated with anxiety and sadness that influence the students' holistic development. Methodologically, a quantitative, descriptive, and correlational study was conducted, applying a survey to 63 students using validated instruments such as the Identity Development Scale for Young University Students and the Positive Mental Health Scale. The main results showed that parenting styles, emotional support, communication, and family support significantly influenced personal security, self-esteem, and emotional stability. Furthermore, insecurity, difficulties with self-concept, and emotional vulnerability were identified as limiting identity consolidation. Furthermore, the research revealed manifestations of anxiety, sadness, and difficulties in emotional regulation; however, students with greater socio-emotional skills, coping abilities, and family support showed higher levels of self-esteem, decision-making capacity, and healthy interpersonal relationships. The study concluded that identity and mental health are closely linked and interdependent processes, where strengthening a solid identity fosters the development of emotional, social, and personal skills, highlighting the need to implement preventive strategies and interventions from a social work perspective aimed at strengthening students' emotional well-being and holistic developmentItem Habilidades blandas y el estrés laboral en choferes de la Cooperativa Expreso Baños(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2026-07-07) Chiliquinga Sifas, Angela Aracely; Naranjo Ruiz, Viviana FidenciaThis thesis was developed with the objective of determining the influence of soft skills on job stress in drivers of the Expreso Baños cooperative. It employs a non-experimental, quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, bibliographic, and field design. A structured survey was used as the data collection technique, and a Likert-scale questionnaire served as the instrument to determine soft skills and their impact on job stress. The sample size was selected non-statistically at the researcher's convenience and consisted of 40 active drivers at the time of the instrument's application. The correlation analysis shows an inverse relationship between soft skills and job stress, indicating that greater development of soft skills is associated with lower levels of job stress in the evaluated workers. Furthermore, the significance level confirms that the relationship is statistically significant. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (H1), which states that soft skills influence the development of job stress, is accepted. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0), which states that soft skills do not affect work-related stress, is rejected. Consequently, it is concluded that, although adequate levels of soft skills predominate, limitations still exist that can affect workplace interaction and coping with stressful situationItem Relatos de identidad digital: el trastorno límite de la personalidad en tiktok(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Comunicación, 2026-01-19) Espín Aguilar, Génesis Dayane; Guamán Guadalima, Nelly GabrielaThis thesis analyzes how people diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) construct their digital identity narratives on the social network TikTok. Using a mixed- method approach and content analysis as the main method, it studies various videos posted by content creators who share experiences, emotions, and stories related to their diagnosis. The research is based on the hypothesis that these individuals construct their narratives by mixing vulnerability, aesthetics, humor, emotional intensity, and elements specific to TikTok culture in order to connect with their audience. Through analysis, narrative patterns, symbolic resources, and recurring emotional approaches are named, as well as visual strategies used to generate a sense of belonging, validation, and connection with other people. The results reveal that TikTok functions not only as a platform for individual expression, but also as a collective space where new forms of identity and community are formed around BPD. These digital representations make an often stigmatized disorder visible, but at the same time, they open up the debate about the boundaries between self-expression and mental health on social media. This highlights the lack of professional training in the areas of psychology and psychiatry among content creators, resulting in a performance that under no circumstances should be a substitute for professional medical care.Item La Violencia en Familias Codependientes(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2025-03-18) Cando Guagchinga, Fernando José; Campoverde Quijano, Egda MaribelFamily violence happens when people in a relationship are too dependent on each other. One person has control, and the other feels afraid to leave, even when there is physical or emotional harm. This creates a cycle, where the victim thinks the abuse is normal, and the aggressor continues. The main causes are fear of being alone, low self-esteem, and the idea that love means suffering. Because of this, many people do not ask for help or leave the relationshipItem Riesgo psicosociales y operatividad del personal(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2024-08) Jimenez Soto, Yadira Monserrath; Altamirano Altamirano, Silvia JovannaThis study addresses a crucial issue due to the significant impact that psychosocial risks can have on the mental and emotional health of workers, which in turn affects organizational efficiency and productivity. The survey methodology was rigorous, with questions designed to elicit quantitative responses that provided a comprehensive view of the psychosocial risks faced by employees. The data obtained were statistically analyzed to identify patterns and correlations between the different factors evaluated, providing a solid basis for the research conclusions and recommendations. The results highlight the need to address perceptions of excessive effort and improve working conditions to reduce psychosocial risks. Among the key recommendations, it is suggested to implement work support and well-being programs, as well as adjust the workload and improve communication between employees and management to mitigate the impact of psychosocial risks and promote a healthier work environment.
