Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2025-02) Masabanda Chaglla Kevin Wilfrido; Morales Paredes Pablo Israelxxi ABSTRACT The digital transformation has compelled physical stores to face the challenge of adapting to e-commerce to avoid the risk of stagnation, loss of competitiveness, and even failure. In response to this need, this project develops a responsive web system with a strategic SEO approach, designed to optimize the sales process of physical stores in the urban area of Ambato, increasing their online visibility, attracting potential customers, and strengthening their market position. The system was built using the Laravel framework, employing templates that ensure a responsive design across various devices, thus enhancing the user experience. The MySQL database was used to manage information securely and efficiently. Additionally, SEO strategies were implemented, allowing the system to stand out in search engines, making it easily accessible to interested users and expanding its digital reach. Through the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology, the project development was managed, ensuring incremental deliveries and adjustments based on the specific needs of the beneficiaries. This methodology enabled close collaboration, ensuring that the system was aligned with the expectations and specific requirements of the users, facilitating faster and more effective adaptation to their processes. The result is a technological solution that not only automates essential processes but also provides stores with a strategic tool to prevent obsolescence and ensure their sustainability in the current digital environment.Item Implantación de una aplicación web para la gestión de información académica de estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional PCEI Tungurahua(2025-02) Ojeda Carrasco José Luis; Ibarra Torres Oscar Fernando; Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de SoftwareIn Ecuador, the educational sector faces significant challenges in academic and administrative management due to the reliance on manual processes and limited IT tools. These issues directly impact operational efficiency and the experience of students, teachers, and administrative staff. During the 2023-2024 period, the Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional PCEI Tungurahua experienced these difficulties, particularly in managing grades, enrollment processes, and academic reports. This project focuses on the implementation and deployment of a web system named ACADEXUS, designed to optimize academic and administrative management within the institution. This system enables the decentralization of key tasks, such as grade entry by teachers, and the automation of critical processes, including report generation and academic year promotion. The main features include user management, grade management, academic periods, and enrollment processes, as well as a scalable module that allows for future expansions. The system was developed using a layered architecture with Next.js in the frontend and PostgreSQL as the database manager. The Kanban development methodology was applied, enabling rapid and adaptive iterations to facilitate the continuous delivery of functionalities. Additionally, a thorough usability analysis was conducted using the SUS scale, achieving a score above 75, validating the system's effectiveness from the users' perspective. Traditional methods, based on manual records and fragmented systems, are inefficient and error-prone, affecting accuracy and timeliness in tracking crime trends. This research project proposes the development of a system that combines a mobile application and a web platform, with the objective of optimizing the collection and analysis of geo-referenced crime data and creating a Business Intelligence (BI) analytical model. The system seeks to improve operational efficiency, reduce human error and provide a tool that facilitates administration and access to information for both authorities and citizens. The project was developed using the XP (eXtreme Programming) agile development methodology, which allowed for greater flexibility and adaptability to changes during the development process. This approach facilitated rapid iterations and the incorporation of continuous feedback, ensuring that the final product met requirements as system development progressed. The project is divided into two main applications: web and mobile. Flutter was used for the development of the mobile application, due to its cross-platform performance. For the web application, NextJS and NestJS were used, technologies that allow the creation of robust and scalable web applications. The agile XP methodology was chosen for its ability to facilitate continuous communication and feedback with users, enhancing each project iteration. The need to modernize and optimize the currently inefficient and costly automotive loan quotation processes drove the development of this system. The primary objective of this project is to automate and improve manual quotation processes, significantly reducing time and operational costs. The implementation of Oracle Cloud and Oracle APEX provides a scalable solution accessible from any device, eliminating reliance on traditional infrastructures. The XP methodology, with its iterative and collaborative approach, enabled the development of a robust system tailored to the specific needs of UNINOVA S.A. The developed system includes modules for data management, report generation, and control panels, enhancing operational efficiency and user experience. Oracle Cloud ensures high performance and data security, while Oracle APEX facilitates agile and efficient web application development. In the pharmaceutical industry, accuracy is essential; thus, processes such as document management using conventional methods are prone to human error, inefficient in information retrieval, and risky in terms of data integrity. This regulated environment requires strict control of records to ensure traceability and transparency. Laboratorio Neo-Fármaco faces these challenges in its commitment to Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices. Currently, the manual process causes repetition of document codes and delays, jeopardizing the integrity of information due to possible uncontrolled alterations, and consuming a lot of time in validation. To address these problems, a web-based document management system is implemented. The research line involved in this work is Information Technology and Control Systems. The project begins with information gathering through technical interviews with all process owners to understand their needs. Subsequently, a requirements analysis is performed using the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2018 standard. For the design and implementation, tools selected from comparative tables are used. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2024-02) Nuñez Guerrero, Jonathan Daniel; Chicaiza Castillo, Dennis VinicioCurrently most educational institutions have a medical department in which information of teachers and students is documented in a medical record in case of emergency to have an indication of how to act, since some teachers or students may have allergies to medications, pathologies, important diseases that could be critical to be treated within the institution. The objective of this research project is to improve the management of the documentation of medical records of teachers and students, so it is proposed to implement a web system based on the Model, View, Controller (MVC) architecture to manage the medical records of teachers and students of the Gonzalez Suarez Educational Unit located in the city of Ambato. The web system was implemented using the Laravel Framework, since it offers a solid and coherent MVC structure, which guarantees a clear separation of the business logic and a better organization of the code, it also has a wide range of tools and features that help speed up the development. The database manager used is MySQL, which guarantees efficiency and reliability in the storage of information. The methodology used for the development of the research project is the Agile Unified Process (AUP) methodology, in which there are four phases. The initiation phase focuses on establishing the objectives and scope of the system, the elaboration phase is where the use cases are identified and prioritized, the construction phase is responsible for implementing the solution and testing, and the transition phase is the final delivery of the system and its preparation for deployment and use by end users.Item Sistema de gestión para el control de abastecimiento de combustible y mantenimiento técnico de vehículos del área de transportes de la Empresa Eléctrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Software, 2024-02) Barrera Llerena, Kevin Alexis; Jara Moya, Santiago DavidThe management of Fuel supply and vehicle maintenance management were crucial for efficiency and cost savings in all businesses. The purpose of this research was to develop a web-based system in the Transportation area of EEASA to minimize time and money losses. Qualitative and quantitative techniques, such as interviews, surveys, literature review, and systems design methodology, were employed to gather information and propose solutions to the challenges. The Lean Software Development methodology was used to ensure timely delivery and effective implementation, this research, conducted by the Department of Industrial Relations at EEASA, highlighted the importance of technological solutions, such as image processing and character recognition using OCR. The results obtained indicated that the implementation of the management system reduced fuel supply time and vehicle maintenance by 75% and 55.55%, respectively, leading to a cost reduction of 75% and 55.55% for these activities, respectively. Additionally, the system improved the accuracy and reliability of fuel supply and vehicle maintenance records, contributing to enhanced efficiency and process transparency within the company, this scientific contribution underscored the significance of technological solutions in the transportation sector and presented an innovative approach to improving profitability and sustainability in transport companies.Item Desarrollo de una Aplicación Móvil (PWA) mediante la utilización de la Tecnología Webassembly para la fuerza de ventas en la Industria de Calzado.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Many companies have disappeared because of the crisis, while others have managed to survive thanks to their innovative capabilities, focused on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). E-commerce became a fundamental tool for companies during the COVID-19 pandemic since it allowed them to promote their products and services and maintain the flow of sales. Another added benefit was also the opportunity to collect valuable information about customers, such as their purchasing preferences, online behavior, comments, and product reviews. The footwear industry in emerging economies is taking advantage of (ICTs) to improve the management of their processes and increase their efficiency. In this sense, electronic commerce has become a fundamental pillar, allowing better interaction with customers and greater expansion in the global market. This project is an e-commerce web application that allows shoe producers to sell their products online and improve their sales force, with this free tool. The program is created using Webassembly with the C# programming language through Blazor, which are a set of tools that allow the creation of web applications. These systems help to process, store and distribute information efficiently, allowing employees to work optimally and make decisions based on reliable and real information, the importance of information systems lies in the automation of processes, where the efficiency, reduces human errors and saves time and costs, likewise guarantees updated and available information. The purpose of this project is the development of a web system for the Corporation of Community Associations of Cotopaxi and Tungurahua, which will help the automation of information of the processes of registration of attendance to activities and letters from children, the same that will be done quickly and effectively, obtaining an organization of data to get more influx of children in the Corporation. The most relevant concepts will also be presented, in order to be able to develop and implement the web system, with the appropriate techniques and methodologies according to the user's requirements. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Sistemas Computacionales e Informáticos, 2023-07) Morales Gutama, Carlos Luis; Fernández Peña, Félix OscarThe main objective of this thesis is the design and implementation of a web system to automate the process of managing grades and attendance of students in the educational unit Huachi Grande, using web development technologies Laravel, Livewire and Bootstrap 5. The developed web system allows teachers to register and manage students' grades, as well as to keep track of their attendance to classes. In addition, parents can access the system to check their children's grades and attendance in real time. The web-based system has a user-friendly and easy-to-use interface, allowing users to access information quickly and efficiently. In addition, it is designed to be scalable and adaptable to future needs and requirements. The results obtained show that the developed web system meets the proposed objectives, facilitating the management of grades and attendance of students in the educational unit Huachi Grande. It is hoped that this work can be useful for other educational institutions that wish to implement a similar system.
