Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Software. This research focuses on the development of an AI-powered web application for match scheduling and automated data validation in the Liga Deportiva Parroquial Huachi Chico, an organization that has been operating through manual processes. The study evaluated to what extent this solution reduces institutional operational times. A mixed-methods approach with census sampling (N = 65) was applied: a survey of 63 delegates (α = 0,810) and interviews with 2 board members. The diagnosis confirmed that 69.8 % consider manual fixture creation inefficient and 74.6 % report a lack of tools. To address this, image processing and scheduling algorithms were investigated; YOLOv8 and EasyOCR were selected for automatic identity validation, integrating them with Round Robin and Backtracking to optimize match scheduling. Based on these foundations, the application was developed under the RAD methodology using Laravel and Angular. Efficiency was determined through a controlled evaluation by macro-processes using the Time-on-Task metric (ISO 9241-11:2018) across five attempts. Registration decreased from 14.00 min to 2.25 min (83.93 %) including user interaction time; in contrast, the figures for fixture generation (from 150 min to 0.024 ms, >99.98 %) and scheduling (from 120 min to 8.95 ms, >99.99 %) corresponded exclusively to the computational time of the algorithm.Item type:Ítem, Aplicativo web para la digitalización de la gestión de campeonatos de fútbol en la Liga Deportiva Parroquial Juan Benigno Vela(2026-01) ;Flores Salazar Elji David ;Ibarra Torres Oscar FernandoUniversidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de SoftwareThis research project aimed to improve the management of football championships for the Juan Benigno Vela Parish Sports League by digitizing and automating its administrative processes. An analysis of the current situation identified limitations related to the use of physical documents and a lack of traceability. Based on this assessment, functional and non-functional requirements were established in accordance with ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2018, and a multi-layered client-server architecture was designed and documented according to ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010:2011. This architecture integrates different views that offer complementary perspectives on the system. The system was developed using Node.js for the backend, React for the frontend, PostgreSQL as the database management system, and a FastAPI microservice for image preprocessing before OCR. Its development was managed using the Kanban methodology and the GitFlow branching model. The application was deployed on a server and successfully passed acceptance testing, achieving 100% compliance. The results show substantial improvements in processes such as player registration and ID card issuance, which saw a 74.9% reduction in processing time, and the use of OCR for recording match minutes, which decreased the time by 63.61% compared to the manual procedure. The usability evaluation yielded SUS scores of 91 for administrators and 90 for presidents, while the application of the TAM model obtained averages of 4.39 and 4.76 respectively, confirming high system acceptance. Carrera de SoftwareThe existing system for managing community service practices at the Technical University of Ambato presented limitations resulting from the manual execution of processes, the dispersion of information, and the lack of clear mechanisms for monitoring each stage. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2024-02) ;Remache Gañay, Freddy SantosNaranjo Ávalos, Hernán FabricioThe rescue and care of animals have become one of the most prominent sectors in terms of social work and public interest generation. For this reason, foundations committed to this noble cause promote responsible care of animals, placing significant emphasis on ensuring their well-being and fostering responsible practices in their care and adoption. In this context, however, one of the limitations faced by these foundations is the limited access to technological tools that would allow them to effectively manage information related to their activities. The lack of technological resources can hinder the coordination of rescues, adoptions, and volunteer work, as well as the detailed monitoring of the health and individual needs of the animals under their care. The present research project was conceived with the aim of developing a web application designed to assist the Paquito Animal Rescue Foundation. This web application enables the management of processes involved in rescue activities, adoption, volunteering, and the reception of monetary donations. In the development of the application, the decision was made to apply the XP methodology with the goal of adapting flexibly to changes that may arise in the application. For the development of the Frontend and user interface, Angular technology was employed, while the backend was built with the .NET Core framework, including a Rest API that contains the methods used by the application. MySQL was the chosen database to store the data.
