    The revitalization of the environment and the improvement of the quality of life for vulnerable people has become a priority in public administration. In this context, the research on the topic of the Feasibility Project for the creation of a Social Responsibility area in the public Geriatric Care Centers of Salcedo, aims to generate the creation of care services for the elderly from a social service approach so that their development allows them better integration into the environment. Under the above, the Municipal Board of Salcedo generates its management based on the provision of innovative services that satisfy the needs of the elderly, thus promoting high social responsibility and territorial development. The methodological design used the mixed approach because it involved the collection, analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data necessary for the study, the scope of this exploratory study, allowed to gather information on the characteristics of the non-existence of a feasibility project, likewise from the descriptive research it is intended to describe the characteristics that have caused the problem, while the collection of information was carried out through the survey directed to the population of Salcedo generating relevant results on the need for a Geriatric Center in the town to promote an environment with social empowerment. Finally, the proposal allowed to outline a feasibility project in which innovative services are generated through competitive strategies that make a difference using the integration of social responsibility to improve the institutional profile through a service to these vulnerable people, therefore the financial management focuses on obtaining capital and work to place the service in demand and position the institutional geriatric center as a transversal axis of comprehensive care for the elderly.

    “La educación ambiental en los estudiantes de la Universidad Politécnica Estatal del Carchi y la Crisis Ambiental”

    El presente trabajo investigativo está orientado en el diseño de un Plan de Educación Ambiental para la Universidad Politécnica Estatal del Carchi, con el objetivo de impulsar programas y proyectos que inciten a un cambio profundo y progresivo de todos quienes conforman la comunidad universitaria para actuar de forma responsable ante el medio ambiente. Para realizar la presente investigación se realizó un diagnóstico en la Universidad Politécnica Estatal del Carchi donde se determinó que la crisis ambiental que afecta actualmente a nuestro planeta en parte es consecuencia de la escasa capacitación de la comunidad universitaria en temas relacionados con Educación Ambiental. Por ende se considera de gran importancia que la Universidad intervenga en la actualidad analizando y tratando los grandes problemas ambientales que se presentan en nuestro medio por lo tanto la presente propuesta contribuirá a mejorar la calidad de vida en la comunidad universitaria y la sociedad de Tulcán, ya que responde a una necesidad que debe ser asumida con gran responsabilidad por las autoridades, docentes, estudiantes, administrativos y trabajadores quienes mediante actividades de coordinación, sensibilización, concienciación y concertación, deben impulsar actividades encaminadas en cuidar el medio ambiente garantizando un desarrollo sustentable.
