Item Diseño de un generador de flujo para un dispositivo de asistencia respiratoria de presión positiva de dos niveles (BIPAP)(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2024-02) Bayas Altamirano, Josue Edmundo; Núñez Núñez, Diego FernandoNowadays, the need for medical equipment for the treatment of respiratory diseases is growing more and more and the state’s expenditure for the acquisition of the same is very large, so the objective of designing the flow generator of the respiratory assistance devices such as BiPAP; opens the way to be able to manufacture ours at national level thus reducing the budget for the acquisition of these. The Technical Project focused on the design of the generator under conventional parameters of operation, this implies the development of the flow system and the control system in charge of supplying positive pressure with a driver of speed variation of the centrifugal ventilator together with a programmable control board, for the configuration of the treatment that the patient needs; the selection of the manufacturing materials and elements necessary for its operation was carried out. The behavior of the flow generator was analyzed by means of a multiphysical computational analysis, this was very useful since it allowed us to establish the operating range of the device, for the development of the manufacturing and assembly process. As a result, a virtual mock-up was created with all the information about the design process, including all the parameters contemplated in the design process of the flow generator, simulation results, manufacturing drawings and assembly drawings. Resulting in a solid project that is ready to be put into test operation.Item Rediseño de prensa oleo hidráulica y sistema de control para conformado de tubo para la empresa metalmecánica Casimiros en la ciudad de Puyo(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2023-03) Ortiz Hidalgo, Néstor Anthony; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioThis technical project explains, in an orderly and systematic sequence, the redesign of an oil-hydraulic press for forming galvanized tubes 1 inch in diameter and 2 millimeters thick. The shaping of this material initially depends on the skill and strength of the worker; however, it seeks to improve the process by controlling the limit switch, in addition to eliminating the operation of force through the use of a hydraulic cylinder. In the present, the determination of parameters was carried out by establishing ranges: pressures, end-of-stroke adjustments and piston advance speed. Necessary elements and devices were calculated through bibliographic research, in addition to the calculation of: loads and dimensions. Consecutively, components were selected for the three systems: structural, oil-hydraulic and control; mechanisms which are based both on the established parameters and on the calculations made. The validity of the project was also determined through performance tests that provide an error of less than 1 percent and a forming time of 10 seconds per piece. At the end of the project, an oil-hydraulic press with a control system capable of performing 340 shapes per hour, with end-of-run control and drive by electric panel, was delivered to the ¨Casimiros¨ metalworking company.Item Diseño de un prototipo de sistema de fermentación industrial para la empresa “Induacero Cía. Ltda”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2023-03) Guanín Araque, Adrian Israel; Cabrera Anda, Santiago PaúlThis project was requested by the company "Induacero Cía. Ltd.” because they have the need to build stainless steel fermenter tanks with a cooling system for the beer industry. Because there are no solutions on the market for micro-enterprises that need a more sophisticated system to ferment small batches. In the present project, the design of the fermenter tank was carried out and it began by calculating the internal measurements, then the ASME section VIII Division 1 regulations were used to calculate the pressures to which the tank will be subjected and the thicknesses necessary to withstand these pressures. Then the heat transfer analysis of the tank cooling system was carried out. Finishing with the design, the algorithm of the control system was made and based on this, the programming in ladder language so that the code can be entered into a PLC, then the design of the graphical interface that will be shown to the user so that he can manipulate the program. Upon completion of the design, the prototype will be delivered to Induacero Cía. Ltda. to prepare it for the benefit of the company.Item Desarrollo e implementación de un sistema de control automático en la prensa de calor manual de la empresa Marie Sport(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2022-09) Tipantasig Cunalata, Alex Javier; Carrillo Rosero, Carlos MauricioThis technical project was carried out to reduce downtime losses in the transfer process and increase production without having to affect the operators with overwork. It was started based on the design, construction, implementation of the control system and operation tests, for which the main working parameters such as pressure, temperature and time of the transfer process in the sublimation of different types of textiles that the company uses frequently were investigated. Having the theoretical and analytical analysis it was possible to make the selection of the different materials to be used both for the structure and for its automatic control system, so changes were made in the base structure in order to fix the double effect cylinder which helps to raise and lower the iron and also the work table was modified to optimize the dead time in the ironing process, The program and its connections were designed according to the needs of the process being able to control by means of a PLC with the help of the HMI all the transfer process in the different types of fabrics with their respective parameters in the sublimation. The system was built with materials available in the market and have an accessible cost for their respective construction; finally resulting in the production of 47 sublimated garments per hour in Kiana fabric, thus generating an increase in production and improving the quality of work in MARIE SPORT.Item Estudio de sistemas de etiquetado de frascos de vidrio para reducir tiempos de producción en la Fábrica de mermelada LA CARLITA de la Parroquia Facundo Vela, Cantón Guaranda(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica. Carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica, 2015-04) Patín Chimbo, Néstor Giovanny; Hidalgo Velasteguí, Andrés SebastiánEl presente trabajo de investigación “ESTUDIO DE SISTEMAS DE ETIQUETADO DE FRASCOS DE VIDRIO PARA REDUCIR TIEMPOS DE PRODUCCIÓN EN LA FÁBRICA DE MERMELADA LA CARLITA DE LA PARROQUIA FACUNDO VELA, CANTÓN GUARANDA”, se llevó a cabo debido a la importancia del sistema dentro del proceso de producción para la fábrica; además con la finalidad de eliminar uno de los cuellos de botella que por años no se ha logrado superar. Primeramente se realizó la recopilación de la información básica acerca del proceso de etiquetado, del tipo de máquinas etiquetadoras existentes en el mercado; la información recopilada permitió comprender el funcionamiento de los diferentes sistemas la misma que nos permitió generar tres alternativas de solución las cuales fueron analizadas bajo criterios como: capacidad de producción, bajo costo de implementación, facilidad de mantenimiento, espacio, manejo y versatilidad. Una vez elegida la mejor alternativa se procedió al diseño y selección de los elementos que constituye la etiquetadora. Después se realizó un análisis económico para determinar el costo de construcción de la máquina. Para finalizar se presentó la solución adoptada que se implementó en la Fábrica de mermeladas LA CARLITA, con sus respectivos cálculos, planos y recomendaciones de funcionamiento con el fin de evitar fallas prematuras en el sistema.
