Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2023-03) Flores Lescano, Mario Fabricio; Navarro Peñaherrera, Carlos PatricioThe present work has the purpose of providing information about the static elastic modulus proposed by NEC-SE-HM, section 3.3.3, which refers to the equation established by the ACI 318 committee. Analyzing the physical and mechanical properties for the material stone from the mines: Pungal Grande and Miraflores in the canton of Guano, province of Chimborazo. The characterization tests of the materials were carried out as indicated in NTE INEN 872, once the physical-mechanical characteristics of the materials were obtained, the final dosages were made using the maximum density method for a compressive strength of 21 and 24 MPa at the 28 days old. During the preparation process of the mixture, tests were carried out on the concrete in its fresh state, such as sampling according to NTE INEN 1763; the determination of settlement in accordance with NTE INEN 1578, the density, performance and air content as indicated by NTE INEN 1579. And finally, the cylindrical specimens were prepared in accordance with what is indicated by NTE INEN 3124. Concluded with the curing process, we proceeded to the realization of tests of the concrete in hardened state, obtaining its resistance to compression for ages of 7, 14, 21 and 28 days according to what NTE INEN 1573 proposes. Concluding with the experimental project, the static modulus of elasticity was determined based on the process indicated by ASTM C469 and the tentative modulus with the equation proposed in ACI 318, to finally compare and analyze them.
